"You are meddling in things that you do not understand. I don't even understand. Andra left to protect the son she loved most even though she knew it would break him. I know little to nothing about her location or her plans, but what I can tell you is that change is coming. Find her. She will explain everything." Mrs Baker said firmly.
Azura thanked Mrs. Baker and walked out. She still had the feeling that Mrs. Baker wasn't telling her everything, but she decided to drop it and go back to the inn to check on Farron.
Farron has been drifting in and out of sleep while Azura had been gone. When she got back, he wipped away his tears yet it was obvious he’d been crying.
“Hey, Farron,” Azura sighed. She plopped down next to him, and she noticed his eyes were a bit watery and red.
“Have you been crying?”
“Wh-What? No, of course not.” Farron mumbled, rubbing at his eyes.
“You know,” she flopped back onto the pillow, “you don’t have to fake it.”
“I’m not faking anything.” Farron said, glancing over his shoulder at her.
(IM SORRY GUYS BUT I NEED MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(Patience friend, patience. maniacal laugh)
“Yes you are, don’t try to hide from me,” she said. She put her hand on his arm.
“I’m sorry, this has got to be hard on you. But I promise, we won’t stop looking for your mother until we’ve found some answers.”
(Hey btw what timeline r u on bc im on eastern i live in ga)
(nervous laughter. Well uh, 1. I don't know what that stands for and 2. I'm in ACDT)
"But what if-" Farron swallowed, "What if we decipher the note and go and find her and… and she's not there?" He asked quietly, "I just… I-I don't want to get my hopes up…"
(lol I live in georgia in the usa, and where's your time zone, Australia?)
"Well, at least you've got more to hope for than you used to. Just think, Farron. As little as two months ago, your mother was alive. We know that for certain. And we also have a clue to how to find her, although we haven't deciphered it yet. We're almost there." She smiled her biggest smile. Now, she would help Farron make his dream come true.
(Yeah, I’m in South Aus)
Farron sighed, “I-It could just be a trick. She could by lying and sending us on a useless trip… I don’t believe it…”
"Farron, you've gotta let yourself believe something. . ." she trailed off. She was slowly drifting off to sleep. "We'll. . . find her. . ."
“Maybe…” Farron smiles at her and gently layed her under the covers of the bed, “Goodnight.”
When Azura woke up in the morning, she headed straight for her hood where she had left the note. She felt around a little bit, and her fingers curled around the old peice of Manilla. ive got to decipher the code, we don’t have much time, she thought. She put all her focus into that ting scrap of paper, and sell nothing. When her eyes started watering, she gave in and left the note in the hood. She leaned against the window and let out a heavy sigh.
Farron was still sleeping while this was happening, although he wasn’t sleeping peacefully. His dreams were filled with nightmares and visions of his mother leaving him yet again. He let out a small whimper in his sleep.
Azura heard the whimper and looked over at Farron. Poor guy, she thought. She tiptoed over to him and got only a few inches from his face, and smiled.
“Farron,” she whispered. “Wake up.”
When he didn’t respond, she pinched his nose, and waited.
Farron woke a few moments later, swatting at whatever was on his nose and glared when he found out it was Azura, “What was that for?”
She giggled.
“To wake you up, silly.” She ruffled his hair, then stood up.
“Come on, we’ve got work to do. I’ve been thinking about this whole situation, and I think I’ve come up with a plan. It seems to me,” she said, deep in thought, “based off of the little I know about your mother, that she would’ve probably explored the town while she was here. So maybe, we can get some information from the townspeople? Then, after we’ve gotten as much as we can, hopefully we’ll have deciphered the note and we’ll know where to go.”
Farron looked towards the ground and crossed his legs, "Sure. Yeah. Good plan."
Azura huffed. there he goes again, she thought. he can never make up his mind. she shook her head. “What do you want to do?”
"I don't know!" Farron very nearly shouted as he stood, "If I did I would tell you but I don't know!" He walked into the bathroom before he had a mental break down.
