Farron frowned and started to slowly pace, “You mean… you left Rosguard and now you want to do back there? But… I mean if you really want too then…”

"Well, I'm not saying I want to, I'm just contemplating it. Who do you think would get the throne? It could be anyone. That is not necessarily a risk I want to take." She was so tired from thinking about the issue at this point. "What do you think about it?

Farron crossed his arms and kept pacing, "You should have thought about this before you decided to leave. The throne is important, yes but so is freedom. Depends which one you value most."

“What do you think I did all those years I was shut up in that tower? Of course I’ve thought about this: I’m glad I left. It proved my point to mom, and it also showed me that I can make it in the real world. But I just don’t know if I should stay gone.” Azura wanted Farron to understand desperately, but it didn’t seem like he was getting the point. They could go back together, she could rule. If she was ruling, she could make sure that everything ran smoothly. Plus there was something else. . . Typically Rosgard had a king and queen. . .

Farron sighed and ran a hand through his hair. She was right, and he knew it even though he didn't want to admit it, "Fine. I guess you're right. If you want to go back to Rosguard, I will support it and go with you," He turned back to her and offered her a small smile, "I don't like it but… You're right."

"Well, I really don't know how we're going about doing this, but all I know is that we have five months before I can safely return." She stopped, and she realized she had been saying the word "I" a whole lot. Farron had come all this way just for her, and she was being just a bit selfish.
"What do you want to do, Farron? Where do you want to go?"

Farron opened his mouth to speak but closed it and sat down on the bed, "It doesn't matter what I want or where I want to go. This is about you not me."

"No." She sat down next to him and leaned on his arm, "It's about both of us. Everyone has needs, including you. Tell me, if you could have anything right now, what would you want?"

Farron sighed, “I’d want for you to be safe and happy far way from here. No troubles and for you to be yourself without restrictions.”

Despite how sweet that response was, she rolled her eyes. "You Farron. You. Be selfish for five seconds. I know you've gotta want something."

“I’d want for my mother back,” Farron said quietly before shaking his head, “But that’s not possible so it’s a useless reply.”

Azura sighed deeply. She decided not to press him anymore, for he had been through enough, and she could see the conversation was making him uncomfortable. She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried the side of her face in his shoulder. After a bit of silence, she began speaking again.
“You know, you are the most unselfish person I’ve ever met.”

Farron huffed a laugh and wrapped his arms around Azura, glad they had moved on from that small part of the conversation, "Am I now? I guess that's just how I was raised." He placed a kiss to the top of her head.

She smiled. Goodness, this guy was too much. Sweet, unselfish, brave, and sad, because life had spit him out like old gum.
She hoped he would keep his promise to stay with her.

Farron sighed and rested his chin on top of Azura's head and closed his eyes for a few moments, "When were you thinking of going back to Rosguard?" He asked quietly.

“Well, I’ve- we’ve- got five months. Five months before I turn 20, which means that I can’t return before then. Do you think I should wait for a few months after that, or just get it over with?”

"It's not my choice. Depends on what you would prefer. Spend a little longer in freedom or rule." Farron shrugged, "Sorry, I'm not much of a help, am I?"

She laughed. "No, not at all. But, we've both been wanting freedom for a while. Maybe it's best that we wait a little while and see how things play out?" She put her head in her hand. "But what would we do while we wait?"

Farron fiddled with a strand of her hair and shrugged again, "We could travel? See the rest of the continent."

"Maybe? I really don't know."
She got up and went towards the door.
"But right now, I'm hungry. Come on, let's find some food."

Farron cracked a small smile and stood, grabbing a jacket, "Of course Princess."

They took that whole morning exploring the town, trying to figure out where things were and deciding where they were going to eat. They met many villagers, all of whom pointed them in the direction of a Mrs. Baker, the owner of a bed and breakfast place down at the south end of the small town.

"Should we go see Mrs Baker now or later?" Farron asked, crossing his arms as they walked the rows of a small market that was going on in the center of the town that day.

"Um, I guess now, since it seems like we've got nothing else to do."
They walked down to Mrs. Baker's place, and they stood talking to her for a while. Apparently, shse had owned the place for some time now, and she was very proud of her establishment. She actually invited the two to taste her food, so they didn't have to say anything. The meal was amazing.

Farron let out a content sigh and patted his stomach, "Wow. That was amazing."
