“Makes sense” he commented on that. He finished the whiskey and turned to the bartender. “Got something stronger?” He asked.
“Makes sense” he commented on that. He finished the whiskey and turned to the bartender. “Got something stronger?” He asked.
Adri shook her head. "Could I have another water?"
“Depends what you mean by stronger. Knock you out stronger or make you breathe fire stronger?”
“Got something that can do both?” Lucas giggled. “Don’t worry, I can handle my alcohol pretty well”
The barkeeper raised her brow and poured some pale purple liquid in his glass. “Let’s see how well you handle that.”
“And yes, you may have another water,” The barkeeper said refilling her glass.
She smiled gratefully, taking a long drink.
Lucas looked at the glass for moment before he started sipping it. Though it burned, he seemed to enjoy it. “Heh, now this is something I needed…” he said. “What’s the name by the way?”
“Mine or hers?” She asked.
“Well I was asking the name of the drink but since you mentioned it, what are your names?” He added, taking another sip while laughing slightly.
Adri gave a rough smile. "Adrianna, but I'll punch whoever calls me that. Adri's what I go by around here.
“Ah, yes. The drink.” The barkeep said sighing with relief. “It’s a mix of unicorn drought and Sphinx poison. They cancel each other out so instead of killing or healing you it burns quite a bit and wakes you up. You can give it an official name if you’d like.”
“As for the name, call me barkeep if you’d like to keep your hands and feet attached. I don’t go by my name anymore.”
Lucas bowed subconsciously. “Well, nice to meet you Adri” he then turned to the bartender. “I would rather not. I’m not good with names. Also, nice to meet you” he said to her before taking another sip. “Oh…this is starting to burn a little…”
Tolkalee gave a short sarcastic laugh at hearing the bartender's name. "I know that feeling."
“Yeah, it does that. I wouldn’t drink it so fast if I were you. Even if you don’t die, I’ll leave you with one hell of a hangover.”
*it’ll
Lucas chuckled when the barkeep mentioned dying. “Don’t worry, I can’t die that easily and regarding the hangover, I’m interested” he took another sip.
“Yeah, yeah tough guy. Are you ever going to share your story?”
He finished the drink and sighed. “Just the usual replacing old souls with the new ones. Though I’ve got to say…” He pointed directly at Tolkalee and Hinata “…you two look fairly familiar to me…” he took a pause. “Anyways, I kinda messed up with some of the soul division, sending some of the good ones to hell and vice versa” he explained.
Tolkalee turned his head away. "Well I don't know you so you're probably thinking of someone else." He stood up and limped to a table, sitting down and sighing.
Lucas shrugged. “Probably…” he turned back to the documents he had.
“I would say that making mistakes is a part of being human, but I very much doubt that you are human.”
“I was, but now I’m a species known as Phantoms. We’re not as well known as Angels or Demons but we work together” Lucas said. “Also, can I have lemonade?”
“I’m afraid that after last night, we are all out of lemonade. We have limeonade and grapefruit juice if you’d like.”
