"Huh, there might be a few cobwebs in there. I wonder what happened with the other two." They walk by a bush and it rustles, revealing a very confused rabbit running out of the underbrush, only to go back out of the bubble and freeze midstride. "This is a very interesting magic. You know, you could always work with God. The original Death was a separate god and decided to join forces with God, who at that point was known as Light, or Life. You could be my partner in crime! Or, anti-crime."
(I suppose it’s a bit late to make a Miracle Max reference. “He’s only mostly dead!”)
"No thanks, I have enough things I already have to deal with," Hosea replied. The bubble disappeared and time returned to normal, and the sounds of the night forest set in again. "Besides, I'm a healer, and you are Death. We work on opposite sides of the spectrum. I work to keep people's lives, and you take them away. We wouldn't work very well together for an extended amount of time."
(I'm actually so proud of myself for getting that reference from "The Princess Bride.")
"You make me seem like the bad guy. I could also heal people, but that's mostly God. Your loved one is on the brink of death in a hospital and miraculously survives? That's us. You have cancer but it miraculously disappears? That's us. Death is inevitable. Death keeps life in balance. Life keeps death in balance. Do you get what I'm saying?" Danny says. He trusts in God and his work, and he's still learning. He knows every once in a while he'll mess up, but he always tries to do what was best to fix it.
Hosea caught sight of what looked like a barn of some kind. "Kid, I never said you were a bad guy. And if I did think you were a bad guy, I wouldn't be standing here with you. I have seen enough in this life to know all about the way life and death work. I work with three basic rules. 1. Good men will die. 2. Doc can't save everyone. And 3. Doc will go through hell to break rules 1 and 2."
(HOLY CRAP WHAT IS HAPPENING I MISSED STUFF SOMEONE HELP ME PLEEEEEEEASE!)
(We're really spread out right now. I am with @JayMarae and am trying to get more people together, but it's not working very well.)
(Maybe they're all dead…)
(I’d add actual story on my end of the RP, but I’m on vacation and these two have a good thing going on. I’d hate to interject!)
(No please interject. Make something happen. It's more fun that way. I don't mind anyway. This is a group rp not a 1x1.)
(Also I was definitely running out of subjects. Please, give us something exciting!)
(Well, there were a couple people in a barn and I'm hoping to find them, just to you know, widen the group, and make this more fun.)
(Trust me, I have ideas, just not time.)
(GUESS WHO'S BACK, BITCHES?!)
As Guinevere finally made it through the forest, trampling undergrowth and pushing through low-hanging branches, the side gate of Mr. Gelder's property came into view. Walking around to the front of the property, the huntress managed to draw the ire of two very large Mastiffs. She ignored their barking, as that would also alert someone inside that she was here. Peering over her shoulder, both dogs didn't seem to be much like guard dogs. The light-colored one seemed to be mimicking whatever the larger dark-colored one was doing, and that was wagging his tail and jumping on the fence like he found a new neighbor to pet him.
Yama would LOVE these guys, Guinevere thought, chuckling.
Her knocks on the front door were immediately received by Jameson the manservant.
"Do come in," he grumbled through gritted teeth. "The Master has awaited your return."
As the huntress walked through the entryway, there was a noise like shouting that came from the second floor. Arthur came sliding down the banister of the large marble staircase off to the left.
"HELLOOOOOO!" he shouted as he slid, propelling himself off of the bottom and landing with a slight stumble and a flourish once he righted himself. "I trust you've taken care of the job, yes?"
(What an aggressive entrance XD)
(Is there a way to get more people together?)
Hosea walked towards the barn but stopped by the edge of the tree line. "Do you think anyone would be super upset if we stayed the night in there?" He turned to look at Danny.
"Nah. At least, as long as we don't touch any of the animals if there are any."
Danny threw his hood up to shadow his face more and started towards the barn, looking left and right to make sure there were no people around.
(I suggest we throw up some announcements or something in other rps and character chats or we could put open and looking for new members in the title so people know they can join.)
(Guess who’s done with exam week and is currently a wrecked pile of slob…)
Asawin flew back towards the center of the town while still being able to scour the places beneath him along the way. He eventually landed on the barn’s roof he was in earlier. He sat down with his legs dangling as he stared up at the sky and sighed to himself softly.
(You just got done with exams? I'm just getting back to school soon!)
(Well, my guess would be that the asian schedule regarding exams are different. Oh, did I also mention that the exam I was talking about was mid-terms of the first semester?)
