He held his hands up to show that he wasn't a threat, a small sigh escaping his lips
He held his hands up to show that he wasn't a threat, a small sigh escaping his lips
The guard glared at him "do you know what that thing is?" He questioned
"Mhm, I do. And it'd be wise to leave her alone"
so he wasn't ratting her out. She thought, plastering hersekf to the wall to listen in on the conversation
"Get out of the way boy. This is not a matter that concerns you." The guard snarled, shoving past him
“And may I ask how you know that it does not?” The hood of his cloak was up, his face wasn’t visible
"are you claiming to be associated with it?" The guard asked
She rolled her eyes "let him go," she yelled from over the wall
"Are you making assumptions? I'm not making any claims, simply giving… advice"
The guard glared at the boy "I don't appreciate advice. Especially when it involves them."
She peeked over the edge of the wall and sighed. She couldn't just leave him there….
“I’d re-evaluate the way you’re speaking, if I were you.” He stated, he clearly wasn’t intimidated by the guards
"You're one to talk. You're protecting a fae." The guard said, getting sick of stalling "Now get out of the way before we arrest you for treason."
"Arrest me for treason?" he scoffed, "Oh, you'd have a great time doing that"
The guard raised an eyebrow challengingly.
She could pretend to threaten his life….getting them both to safety…
He pulled down his hood, raising an eyebrow in return to the guard. He was recognisable from posters which had circulated only weeks before, with ashy grey-blonde hair and blue eyes, though one was lighter than the other.
The guards gaped in surprise but quickly composed himself "of course you'd help a think like a Fae. I'm getting two for the price of one."
She smiled, recognizing him emidiatly from the posters. this is going to be fun
"You can only understand a creature if you put yourself in their place. Now, unless you'd like a witch's curse on your hands.."
The guard backed away with a growl "You'll regret even being alive." he turned away with his group, leaving the two alone…for now
SHe sat atop the wall, munching on the apple she had stolen, her white cloak a sharp contrast to the gray wall "you handled yourself pretty good."
"Nothin' new." He put his hood up again
"really? that's a surprise. So what now? I'm guessing you drove off the guards so you could have the glory of killing me yourself?" she asked with a slight tilt of her head
"Incorrect." He let out a small sigh, "Even if i wanted to, i don't carry weapons."
"You don't need weapons to kill." she deadpanned "I've seen people kill well enough with their bare hands and blind hatred." She glanced up at her savior "Thank you, I guess. I have no money to give you for your gesture."
"And who said i wanted money?" he turned to face her, one of the only visible areas of his face the lighter of his eyes.
She narrowed his eyes at him "If you think I was going to give you something else, you're sadly mistaken."
He looked unimpressed, but not by the lack of offering, "I didn't."
"Than what do you desire for your chivalrous act of saving a fae?" she asked with sarcasm
"Nothing. Now, I'd suggest you get out of here before they change their minds." he turned to leave
