Rin rolled her eyes with a smile, slowly tucking one knife away at a time, until the were gone. "Is that so?" She asked while checking the damage to her hand.
((Alright! Looking forward to it!
Oki))
"'Tis indeed, thief girl." Dabria leaned over to look at Rin's hand. "You were juggling knives while one of your arms is in a cast, what were you thinking?"
"I can tell you right now that the cast had nothing to do with it." Rin squinted down at her bleeding hand, looking personally offended.
"Sure sure sure," Dabria told her as she rummaged through the bag Cassidy had left for a cloth, then pulled Rin's hand into her lap to bandage it.
"Whatever. You don't have to do that, you know." Rin said, attempting to tug her hand away from Dabria. "It'll be fine, it's not the first time I've cut my hand while doing that."
Dabria suddenly tugged Rin's hand over the fire. Her eyes narrowed threateningly. "Let me bandage the cut or I'll cauterize it closed."
Rin's eyes widened, and she paled visibly, trying harder to pull her hand away as she shook her head. "L-look, it's not a big deal, just-fine, fine, just please…" She trailed off, unable to force any other words out.
Dabria let go of Rin's hand and backed away from her awkwardly. "Sorry."
Rin pulled her hand to her chest, moving further from the fire as she shook her head, muttering to herself. She didn't mean it, she doesn't know, she wasn't going to-
"They died in a fire," Dabria muttered in realization. Shit.
"Y-yeah. And I-" Rin took slow breaths, trying to calm herself somewhat. Nice. You've know her a total of not even ten minutes, and you're already on the verge of a panic attack.
"I, um," Dabria pulled her boots back on and left the cave in search of Kai. When she found him, she explained. "So you know how we just met that cute thief girl? I was just being my normal self, and I was a bit too myself, and I kinda accidentally gave her a bit of a panic attack?"
Cassidy walked back into the cavern carrying a bucket of and found that Dabria had left, leaving just Rin, sitting far away from the fire. She frowned. "Hey, where'd Dabria go?" she asked, setting down the heavy bucket and stretching out her back.
Rin looked up, forcing a smile and hoping her panic wasn't as evident as she knew it actually was. "O-out. Not sure where…"
“Dab really? We literally met her like 10 minutes ago!” He exclaimed with a small sigh. “Your people skills really suck sometimes you know that?”
"I know! I'm sorry!" Dabria exclaimed, crossing her arms. "I didn't mean to," She muttered, like a small child might when they hit their sibling too hard and they start crying.
Hello?))
((I'm here! I'm always here….
Greetings))
(Whassup?)
Cassidy gave her a strange look, but sat down near the fire, emptying the contents of the sackcloth bag onto the cave floor so that she could see what was still usable. "Hmmm…" she said, holding up an old crumbling roll of parchment for Rin to see. "You think this is usable?" She asked sarcastically.
Rin snorted, the wave of panic slowly washing away. "I don't know, it might be. You got any ink to try?"
"Anyway, we should get back. Can you collect the knights?" Dabria asked. She assumed Kai would say yes, so she started back to the cave. She returned to her spot on top of her jacket. "Sorry for leaving suddenly," She said when she noticed Cassidy was back. "I was getting Princey to collect the knights, wherever they may be. What are you two doing?"
Cassidy gestured to the pile of supplies. "Trying to sort out what's not completely useless."
