Rin smiled, less bright than before, and nodded. "Feel free to use anything in that bag of stuff I had."
Dabria gave Rin the most apologetic look she could muster, attempting to say, I didn't know and I apologize, or something along those lines. The princess was never very good at communicating emotions unless she was acting on them, so she attempted to speak with a single look before she returned to the items in front of her. "Well the paper will probably be fine, but the ink has probably dried up. We have a lot more supplies with the horses."
Cassidy looked at Rin, and then at Dabria, and back at Rin. "Right, um, thanks. In fact," she said, standing suddenly. "I'd better go get the saddlebags from the horses. Something tells me the others will forget them. " She gave a pretend sigh of annoyance. "Oh well though. You guys should sort through this… "stuff" while I grab the other supplies." Cassidy chose her words purposely and shamelessly. She gave them a crooked smile and walked down the tunnels towards where the arrogant pretentious prince was with the horses and the knight named… Carrot? She sighed and slowed down a little. She really didn't feel like talking to the prince right now, but she knew the other girls needed to talk. She shook her head at herself. "why do I get myself into these situations?" she muttered to herself.
(you replied before I did, even though my post was already written out, and it fit together perfectly lol)
Rin watched Cassidy go for the second time, and eyebrow raised. She's odd, and fun. Her and I are gonna get along. She glanced over at Dabria. "I-I'm sorry."
Dabria raised her eyebrows. "Why? Also, did you get to bandaging up your hand?"
"No, I didn't." Rin admitted, looking away. "And I'm sorry for…freaking out."
Dabria shrugged. "Anyone would freak out if you shoved their hand above an open fire, and seeing as you have bad experiences with it, your reaction was completely acceptable." She passed the piece of cloth she had been about to use as a bandage on Rin over to the thief. "But we don't need you bodily fluids everywhere."
Cassidy sighed and walked out of the tunnel and into the dappled moonlight where the two men were waiting beside the horses. She lifted her head and walked over to them. "We need to bring down the supplies your highness," she said curtly, barely making eye-contact, and instead stroking one of the horses. She glanced over at the knight, Carrot, and smiled half-heartedly.
Rin looked down at the cloth, smiling softly, and wrapped it around her hand, using her teeth to finish tying it off. "I still shouldn't let fear control me like that. A few bad experiences are just that, things of the past." Her fingers brushed over the small burns on her arms subconsciously.
"You really hate showing personal weakness, huh?" Dabria asked. She pulled a few more items out of one of the bags and set them in front of her.
"Oh, we're doing that part of this conversation." Rin pulled a face. "Of course I do. I had to grow up an orphan, and personal weakness is like, the plague."
She snorted. "I get it." Dabria left it at that and continued examining each object before her.
Rin was fine with the drop, scooting over carefully to look at the items, the cat on her lap purring loud enough for Dabria to hear. "Anything good? Useful?"
"Well, if you count rotten fruit, dried ink, and crumpled parchment as useful, then we have tons of useful things. If not… yeah, not so much."
"Uuhhh….give me the ink, I have an idea." Rin held out her bandaged hand, plotting.
Dabria quirked an eyebrow but handed Rin the ink. "It probably won't work."
Rin shrugged her good shoulder, before spitting directly into the ink bottle and using a twig from the ground to try and revive it.
"That works, I guess. We don't really need the ink right now though, do we?" Dabria asked before looking outside and realizing how positively late it was. "Once the others get back we should probably get some sleep."
"Sleep is for people who can afford it." Rin stated, managing to resuscitate the ink, albeit unnecessarily. She held it up with a bright grin. "Ta-da!"
(I tried to engage in dialog so now I'm awkwardly waiting for @max to come back)
((They said school's been kicking their ass, right? Ugh, I feel that. This rp is kinda a mess until they do, isn't it
(I think so… It's a big bummer. anyways, I'm tired, so I'm going to go to bed, but we can talk more about this issue more in the morning? Goodnight guys!)
