"We don' actually need it, but I appreciate the enthusiasm." Rin said sarcastically, setting it down. "And you may be able to, but not me. Sleep, and I'll keep watch or something."

"Not for the whole night you won't," Dabria insisted.

((Nah you're valid. I've skipped over three entire responses before, so…

"Why not? I function better at night anyway." Rin said stubbornly.

Dabria waved her hand. "We'll take shifts. I imagine we'll be traveling most of tomorrow, and sleeping on a horse can not be comfortable."

"That brings with it a new problem." Rin made a face, ignoring Dabria's first sentence. She fully intended to let her sleep the whole night. "I don't have a horse, and I'm like 98% you didn't just decide to bring a random extra horse. I'll have to walk, and buy, or steal, one in the next town."

"Two people can share a horse," Dabria deadpanned like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Rin's cheeks darkened almost imperceptibly, and she shook her head. "Yeah, because so many of your companions are interested in sharing a horse with a thief."

Dabria quirked an eyebrow. "They'll do as they're told. They're not allowed to have a problem with it. And they wouldn't, anyway. I didn't bring with me the best knights. More the ones I get along with the best."

"Oh, there are people that get along with you?" Rin asked jokingly. "I'd never have guessed, not with how scary you are."

"My looks get me more respect, usually," Dabria said. "These knights respect me a lot, but I've found them to not be self-centered alcoholics who only act properly in front of me or some other higher-up." She let out a small laugh. "It's kind of funny the different amounts of respect I get from people. Some people who even know of my status disrespect me to my face. Like some other royals when making trade deals or planning battles will just lie about things. 'We'll send you 1,000 fish a month in exchange for a few of your finest furs,'" The princess imitated a king. "No you won't, sir. Yes, your kingdom is on the coast, but I've heard all about your massive garbage dumping into the waters and how you've killed most of the supply. You sure as all hell won't sacrifice your sustenance for some fur. It's ridiculous."

Rin burst into laughter, muffling it with her hand. "He thought…that would work?"

"He did. I didn't have to use my magic at all to tell he was lying, so it's even worse." Dabri smile.

"Holy shit." Rin said, triggering another round of snickering that, luckily, died down quicker than the rest. What Dabria had said hit her suddenly, and she looked up at the woman. "Your magic, it's a lie-detector?"

I just realized I wrote 'Dabri smile' when I met Dabria smiled. End me))
"Yep. Runs in the family, but changes slightly from person to person." Dabria put a finger to her lips. "Don't tell anybody, though. It's very useful and we don't need people to know and try to get by us by not telling whole truths."

"Gotcha. That how you knew I wasn't lying back there?" Rin asked curiously, referring to when they had first met, earlier.

Of course she was still mad at him. “Got it…it seems like nothing’s followed us here so we should be safe for awhile.” He replied, of course attempting to be polite and make eye contact.

Cassidy looked up at him, meeting his surprisingly (Blank) eyes. She forced herself to remain composed and straight-faced. Gosh, the arrogance of the guy. She nodded. "Right then," she said flatly. She took a set of saddlebags in her arms. "I know the area, and the horses would be safe if we turned them free to graze if they are well trained enough, but the tunnels should be tall enough for them if they aren't that trained."
(Can U give me a color description of Kai? the Image link is no color on your template, so I don't know his eye or (exact) hair color)
(Also sorry I've been gone, I have my massive English 102 essay due on Monday. (I'm not in college, I'm in a program that lets me take college classes))

"You were clearly in pain from your shoulder, but yes," Dabria told her. "As far as I know, a lie's never gotten past me."

"You do realize that now I'm by all means required to test that, right?" Rin smiled mischievously, already coming up with lie after lie to test. "I wish I had an ability like yours. Sucks not having magic." Lie.

Are you not sticking with the manipulation of luck as her magic?))

"Of course you have to test it." Dabria rolled her eyes but listened intently anyway. "That would be a lie."

"Nice. It was a lie. Not your power being cool," Rin added hurriedly. "Just the part about me not having any."

"Well, now you're required to tell me what your power is," Dabria complained.

"It's nothing super cool like yours. Just luck manipulation." Rin made a face.
