Kat put the arrow back in her quiver
Jackson in reaction shot a jet of flame at Kara’s face
Kat put the arrow back in her quiver
Jackson in reaction shot a jet of flame at Kara’s face
She twisted out of the way, but kept a hold on Jackson's arm, ducking behind him and pulling up on his arm that was now twisted behind his back. "Try that again little boy," she laughed. Tolkalee pulled his own bow out and took aim at Kara, causing her to freeze.
"You wanna take a chance against my aim?" he challenged. His eye was actually on Jackson's arm. If he pulled down or Kara pulled up just a tiny bit, he would dislocate his shoulder.
Jackson winced at the pain in his arm and gulped
Kara didn't move for a moment then a grin found it's way to her face again. "You're not sure are you? I don't know little warrior, do I want to take my chance against your aim? Is as good as it use to be? Can you miss now?" she seemed to be taunting him. Tolkalee pulled back harder and took aim again.
"You really want to find out?" he spat back. "From here it looks like you still have that scar on your upper left ear." Kara frowned this time. Then she let go of Jackson's arm and kicked him away.
She twisted her sword in her hand and glared at him. "Then fire little warrior. Fire. What am I going to do now? I have no hostage," she spread her arms out in an inviting way."
Jackson spoke “ if we all go at once we might have a chance”
“It is worth a try” kat put he bow on her back and both her hands were holding swirling energy
"I think that might just work," Kara agreed with them. "But I'm afraid Seth dear has a little problem to deal with and he can't help right now." She pointed to where Seth was fighting what looked like an ogre. Well more like struggling against and ogre. It was holding him in it's hand easily lifting him off the ground.
Kat spoke “ I can go help him” she ran over and threw a bolt of energy at the ogres back
Jackson stood up with his sword in hand “lets do this” he started to run at kara and attacked unpredictably
Tolkalee also attacked, but his attacks were impossible to follow because it was almost like he was teleporting around. Kara however seemed to keep up with both of her attackers movements and didn't seem bothered by Jackson's unpredictability. In fact it was almost like she knew what they were both going to do.
Seth was dropped to the ground and jumped to his feet again. The ogre turned on Kat swinging a giant club wildly.
Kat jumped back and threw a bolt of energy at its face
Jackson attempted to trip Kara
Another ogre crashed from the trees and attacked Kat when her attention was on the previous ogre.
Kara easily side stepped. And twisted her arm in his letting his own force drive him to the ground. Tolkalee was soon on top of her attacking and pushing her away from Jackson, giving him a moment to recover.
Jackson stood up and attacked again “damn “
Pain shot through kats arm she ran to the side of the ogre and tried to disable it by aiming at its legs
Seth went back to back with Kat as more ogres crashed out of the forest. His eyes traveled to Tolkalee, who was fighting next to Jackson against Kara. She seemed to be toying with them. Seth was getting tired by this point and he knew that if he was so were the others. They either had to win or run.
Jackson switched his pike with his sword and started using faster more offensive attacks he knew this would exhaust him faster but he needed to start damaging Kara
Kat started using riskier attacks she drove a spike of earth through an ogre’s heart and as she ran at another ogre She felt a sharp pain in her side and she fell to the ground her vision red she knew one more hit would be her down fall
"Seth!" Tolkalee called from the edge of the clearing they were in. Seth was next to Kat, but he looked over to Tolkalee. "Fall back!"
"No argument here," Seth grabbed Kat and all time suddenly seemed to slow to a steady stop. Seth jogged around everything to the edge of the clearing and put Kat down next to Tolkalee. Time returned to normal speed as soon as Seth set her down. Tolkalee was laying out cover fire for Jackson to fall back to them. Not wanting to risk Kara injuring him however. Seth stopped time for himself again and ran over to him. To anyone else it merely looked like he had teleported next to Jackson.
He started to fall back with Tolkalee “Seth you need to teach me that “ he breathed a jet of flame blocking the ogres and karat from getting any closer
"I would love to do so," he ducked under a swing and parred another. "But not right now."
Kat pulled out her bow and helped Tolkalee with the cover fire
Kat spoke up “ come on seth!”
Seth was suddenly next to Tolkalee with Jackson next to him. "Alright let's go."
Tolkalee jumped out in front of the three of them and held his arms straight out. His weapons all sheathed. "Thank you all for coming ladies and gentlemen. That will do it for the show tonight, we never hope to see you again. Goodbye," he let his voice ring around the clearing. Then he slung his hand down and smoke sprang up around the creating a wall. He turned and ran into the woods. Seth followed only stopping once to make sure the other two were coming.
Kat and Jackson ran as fast as they could kat thought to herself how are those two so fast!
Tolkalee and Seth realized that they were kind of leaving Kat and Jackson in the dust, and they slowed down. Seth stuck with Kat and Jackson, weaving between trees. Tolkalee said something to Seth and doubled back towards Kara and the ogres.
They both kept running their blood pumping with adrenaline
"I'm taking us out of the woods," Seth shouted over his shoulder. "You're gonna have to trust us."
“Well it’s either you or them I would much rather have you” kat said
Seth gave a worried look before turning back to where he was going. A look almost like he didn't trust himself. He led them out of the woods, and into open territory. Well, mostly open, except for the massive rock formations coming into view. Seth poured out the speed only praying that Kat and Jackson could keep up. He and Tolk were use to running this fast over long distances, he had no clue about them.
