Jackson and kat could just barely keep up only able to because of mass amounts of adrenaline
Seth suddenly disappeared from view and they weren't able to find him again. Something shot past Kat's ear and lodged into a rock just in front of them. It was an arrow. Another one also shot past them.
Kat thought fast and said to Jackson “the rocks are our best bet”
Jackson was a vary skilled climber he climbed up the hill with great speed
Kat followed him but at a slower pace
An arrow lodged into the rock right next to Kat. Several soldiers appeared below them and began firing arrows at them.
Kat using her magic created a small wall of air it wasn’t very powerful but it could still block the arrows from hitting them
Jackson climbed up with speed they were close to the top witch would give them a huge advantage he slowed down and looked back in his pack he let out a sigh of relief the buellette was still there he kept going
Something suddenly slammed into the rock right next to Kat. It was a soldier that was twice the size of her. But before it could attack Seth slammed down on it with his dagger stuck in the soldier's head. "Keep going," he shouted as both fell back down to the ground. A moment later he disappeared again.
Jackson reached the top first and when kat was close enough he pulled her up
After kat reaches the top she had to think quickly before they could be attacked again “ damn I’m gonna have to resort to that, Jackson back up” she started chanting in an old language and the markings on her neck glowed blue there was a low rumbling that grew louder the stone on the edge of the cliff started breaking of crushing anything trying to climb it the marks started to dim the markings only grew by a quarter of an inch but she stumbled “ that took a lot out of me, let’s go” Jackson put his arm around her and helped her along
Suddenly Kara was in front of them. She had what looked like an army behind her.. "Hello darlings," she said. "You know, I really wanted to be friends. But you decided to stay with those two little traitors and look where that got you. They flaked out on you. They always do. But look at me. I still have all my men with me, because I don't flake out on them."
Kat stood up “ I was worried before about increasing my curse but I guess I have no choice” she walked forward a sort of fire in her eyes “ back off now or you’ll be sorry”
A huge crack suddenly echoed through the canyon. Then a silence set in, followed by a low groaning sound. "I think you'll find that we don't flake out on our allies," Tolkalee's voice echoed around them. A large pillar of stone beside them was sliding slowly towards them gaining speed as it went. "If you don't want to get all your men out alive I'd scatter."
Seth appeared by Kat, holding his dagger. "We should probably move before that thing crushes us."
“ your right” kat said she punched Kara as hard as she could and ran with Seth
Jackson ran with them
Tolkalee landed right next to them. He was bleeding from several cuts and had the end of a broken arrow barely stuck from his shoulder. He looked like a mess. "Get beck to the trees," he ordered. Behind them the pillar crashed down showering them in little rocks. Dust shot out in all directions creating a make shift smoke screen.
They both ran to the tree line and ran as fast as they could
Seth slowed to a stop after they had made it into the woods a ways. He placed his hands on his knees breathing heavily. Tolkalee had gone straight to the ground wheezing. "Hey, are you two okay?" Tolkalee shifted to his side to look at Jackson and Kat.
Jackson replied first “yes, but are you okay”
Kat spoke after Jackson “you do look seriously injured”
Tolkalee shook his head and pushed himself to his feet, taking a deep breath. "I'll be fine for now. We have to keep moving or she's gonna catch up to us. And I don't know if I can fight her a second time in a row."
“ where is the nearest town” kat spoke “it would be the best way to lose them
"The nearest town, is over twenty miles away," Tolkalee was still catching his breath. "We'd never make it there before she caught up again." He leaned on Seth who was still catching his own breath. "Anyone else have an idea?"
"Well we could…" Seth trailed off and looked at Tolk. "We could go under."
Tolkalee looked at Seth like he'd lost his mind. "Do you want us to walk into a den of ravenous wolfs as well?"
Kat spoke “It’s better than facing her again”
Jackson agreed “really it is our best bet”
"I would rather face a hundred of her then go down there," Tolkalee snapped. Seth grabbed his shoulder.
"Dude, it's okay, we already dealt with them, we won't have to worry about them," he reassured Tolk. "It would be better and faster."
Tolkalee looked at Kat for a moment then at Jackson, before turning back to Seth. "Fine, but this is the last time we ever go down there." He then turned and began limping in the direction they had been running.
Jackson helped Tolkalee along
kat kept moving along next to Seth
(I just saw Hamilton and it was amazing)
(Oooooo, that sounds like it was fun.)
Seth was looking at Tolkalee with what looked like a mixture of sympathy and sadness. "You know, I don't completely blame him for not wanting to go down under. We were both almost killed down there."
Kat had pity for the both of them they had to deal with so much more than her no wonder they were stronger than her she just kept walking in silence keeping her thoughts to herself
Tolkalee led them to what looked like a black hole in the ground. He stopped at the entrance and just started at it for a moment, before taking a breath and walking inside. "Here we go," Seth breathed slowly as he followed his friend down into a huge cave system.
