She shook some of the water from her hair and smiled at him. ”I’m ready if you are, handsome. Where’s the finish line?” she asked.
She shook some of the water from her hair and smiled at him. ”I’m ready if you are, handsome. Where’s the finish line?” she asked.
"To that small island in the middle of the lake." He grinned, giving her a quick peck before getting ready.
"Three"
"Two"
"One"
"GO!" He shoots forward, swimming as fast as he could.
The kiss caught her off guard momentarily but she quickly started swimming as he shouted. She smiled as she dove forward keeping underwater for a while before surfacing and keeping a steady pace the whole time.
James dove into the water, focusing all his strength on driving on in the water, speeding up as much as possible as he only went up for a breath.
Liz continued to push for the island. She hadn't really done a whole lot of swimming but she knew enough to be efficient and she did enjoy the activity. The water certainly felt good though it was hard to tell if it was magic or just the cool, peacefulness of it all.
James was close to the island now, enjoying the water as he felt so… Serene inside of it, his skin glistened and chiselled abs tanned in the final yet bright rays of sunlight.
Liz was so far able to keep up with him, though she felt herself blush as she caught a glimpse of his… impressive build. Her own body may have been lacking the tan his had but she was still slender and athletic, mostly from all the training but her height definitely helped define her curves.
James finally reached the island, scrambling up to the beach and falling onto the sand, breathing heavily as he laughed.
"That, That was fun." He said.
”Yeah. Yeah, it was.” Liz agreed happily as she joined him and laid in the sand next to him. ”It feels like.. like I haven't really had that much fun in a while.” she admitted.
"Same, especially with someone I love," He said after some thought.
"We should do this more sometime, We will do this more," He said as he calmed his breathing.
She smiled and rolled onto her side, facing him. ”That sounds wonderful.” she said as she propped her head up. ”Definitely something to look forward to.”
"Aye," He smiled and looked at her.
He kissed her lips gently as he smirked.
"As much as possible,"
She chuckled and kissed him back. ”If this dream thing keeps happening, then we might be able to do this every night.” she pointed out.
"True, true." He agreed.
She smiled at him before stealing another kiss from him. ”In the meantime, what do you want to do before we have to hide in our shelter?”
"I don't know, you?" He asked as kissed her back.
”At the moment, I can't come up with much.” she replied into the kiss. ”I’m fine with this or we can just swim for fun. No racing.”
"That'll be nice," He nodded and hugged her warmly.
"But for another date, we should get up soon but… I kinda dont want to,"
She smiled and rested her head against his chest. ”I don't really want to move either. I’m too comfortable right now.” she agreed before sighing softly. ”But you're right, we probably should go back.”
"If only we had more time," He sighed as he glanced up.
"This strange world, how did it come to be?" He pondered softly as he looked at the setting sun.
”How does any world?” she asked gently. ”A hundred people can give different answers each time but you're still never sure after.” Liz sighed a little.
”We should get back before it gets too dark. We can still do this in the cave.” she pointed out with a small smile.
"Yeah." He got up reluctantly and brought out his hand.
"Come on,"
She smiled at him and accepted his hand as she stood up. ”Lead the way, sweetie.” she said, standing beside him.
"Sweetie?" He raised a brow as he smiled back.
”Don’t like that one?” she asked, a little curious.
