“We’re here.” Ivy said as she stopped the car. The bank was a random one, as the Joker had changed his mind of letting the students choose their pick. It was one with less security, which meant that this would be a piece of cake for the villains in training. If everything went well, which Ivy, Joker, Harley and Penguin were sure that it will, the villains in training would be able to use the money however they wanted.
“Don’t mind those two, they just come down to help with work. Well, one does, the other is actually Batman’s sidekick, so he’s supposed to be down here anyways.” Nightwing said as he smacked Robin’s hand away. Red Hood payed no attention to them and continued doing whatever he was doing on the computer.
Rocco walked further into the room, his posture hunched just a tad. “You said we’re gonna pick up the class or somethin’, right?” He took one hand out of his pocket, pulling at his earlobe. “And we didn’t exactly get a clear answer what we’re learnin’..”
"Cool," Lainey said, getting out of the car. "Let's blow this popsicle stand." She smirked, feeling the emotions of the people inside the bank. "This should be fun."
“Well, I’m not exactly the teacher, If I was I would’ve told all of you what we’re learning.” Nightwing replied.
Robin rolled his eyes and Red Hood snickered. Batman sighed and didn’t get up from his spot. “Technically I’ll be teaching you how to improve your fighting skills, but to do so I have to see how the three of you fight.”
Naomi bounced happily as she left the car and instantly ran to the door. Seconds later she unlocked the door with a bobby-pin. “Easy peasy, lemon squeezey.”
“…’Course, right.” Rocco took a deep breath, running his fingers through his hair. He made small adjustments to his posture, shoulders hunching forward slightly. He grimaced, running his tongue over his teeth and looking at the other recruits. “Prob’ly shoulda expected that.”
Lainey giggled. “Nice. Now, should I make them afraid of us? Well, extra afraid. What do you bet one of them will wet their pants?” She walked through the door, checking for an alarm system.
"So…are we fighting each other? Or you guys?" Callie asked, pulling her hair into a loose bun. She stomped her foot, and in a flash of electricity she was in in her hero outfit. "I mean…guess there's no other way?"
“Yes, you’re going to fight us.” Batman said nonchalantly as he got up from his seat and walked over to the heroes-in-training. Nightwing and Robin joined Batman and Nightwing smiled.
“We won’t go easy on any of you guys, so give us the best you got!” Robin said.
“Ooh, Yes! Make them afraid of us.” She stopped and thought for a bit. “I’m sure a couple of them are going to wet their pants.” As she walked further in, she found no one. “Oh, must be lunch hour. Huh, this will be very easy.”
“It’s almost disappointing,” Lainey sighed, looking around. “Oh, well. At least we’ll get money out of this. And some famous villains came with us, so that’s something. Ooh, actually! If this turns out to be easy, do you want to hear this plan that I came up with?”
“Yes, at least famous villains came with us.” She paused and smiled. “Heck yes.” Naomi said a bit to excited. She walked to where the vault was and frowned. “Password. Great. We need a god damn password to open the vault.”
“If there was anyone else here I could make them give it to us,” Lainey complained, trying to sort out if there was. “There might be one or two, but I can’t tell where they are. Unfortunately, my power doesn’t work like that. So while we think of something, I’m guessing that if not today, at some point we’ll run into those idiots who call themselves superheroes. And I can pick one of them to be my victim. Basically, I’m going to use my wits, beauty, and of course, powers, to make one of them fall in love with me so I can learn the heroes’ secrets. I can be a great spy, is really what I mean to say.” She smirked. Then her eyes went back to the code. “Some buttons are pressed more than others, so if we can figure out which ones, then all we need is the correct order.”
“Oh my god, I’m gonna get crushed.” Rocco laughed slightly, biting the inside of his cheek. “I’m just telling you now, I barely have any fighting ability, I’m more of a recon and support guy.” He took half a step back, gritting his teeth nervously.
“Well, just give us what you got, after, we’ll help you on your fighting ability. Hit me first.” Robin said, as he approached Rocco.
Naomi thought for a while as the bank seemed familiar to her. “Of course! I’ve been here before. And the time I came here, an employee was putting the code for the vault. Try, 7027914328”
Lainey tried the code, and the two of them heard a click. “I think it worked!” Lainey cried excitedly, opening the door. “Nice memory!”
She bowed slightly, “Thank You, Thank you.” She entered and stopped, mouth wide open. “Wowzers, look at all of this money. There’s about ten million dollars in here, and maybe more!”
“Awesome, let’s take it and go!” Lainey exclaimed. Her eyes were wide as saucers too. She wasn’t used to having a lot of money, but maybe today was the start of something like that. Of course, she had her sights set on the real prize—taking the superheroes down once and for all. But that wouldn’t stop her from taking a bunch of money right now.
As she took a step forward, a bell rung. “Please don’t tell me I activated an alarm system. .” She took a deep breath and turned around slowly. A employee had entered the bank. “Ah, crap.”
Lainey smirked. “I’ve got this,” she said confidently. She reached out, trying to feel the employee’s emotions. After a few moments, she was able to pick them out and turn the red alarm of the employee into a calm peachy happy color. “I’ll just make them calm and happy, so that the employee won’t interfere.”
Naomi sighed and smiled slightly. “That’s great, we really dom’t need the so called super heroes to come and ruin our fun.” She went further in and grabbed some bags of money.
"That would be unfortunate, though I will probably need to run into them sooner or later if my plan is to work," Lainey added, copying her. "What if I pose as a damsel in distress? Like I pretend to be a civilian you guys held hostage or something? Heroes can't resist that crap."
“True, they’re a sucker for that crap. . A kidnapping. That’s a great plan! Especially if some random person gets killed in the process.” Naomi grabbed a couple of more bags and walked outside quickly, putting it in the car. She walked inside and grabbed more bags.
"So you think it'll work then?" Lainey asked, after emptying her bags and going back for more. "I can profusely thank the heroes of course, and find a new boyfriend. Or girlfriend. Whoever seems best. But we'd need to come up with some reason for why you kidnapped me. Like it can't be too suspicious." She filled her bags more quickly this time, getting the hang of it.
"Well Rocco's fighting little devil boy…who are Jay and I fighting?" She got her answer when Nightwing walked towards her. "Cool, the original. Wonder how this will go."
“Don’t laugh, okay? I know full well that I can’t fight.” Rocco looked incredibly nervous now, although it was clear that he was trying not to show it. He threw a punch, only really connecting with Robin’s shoulder. It wasn’t great, but there was at least some kind of foundation to build off of.
