Ivy tapped the window while thinking. She was sure they had sent someone after them, but she knew that someone wasn’t Robin, or Red Hood, or Nightwing or Batman. There was only one person fast enough to catch them. “The girl that was fighting Black Hurricane. I’m sure they sent her.“ She paused and then frowned. “We need to get out of here fast.”
“What do you suggest?” Lainey asked her. “We could leave our car and just run or something. Maybe change into civilian clothing so she won’t recognize us?”
"I was thinking Impulse," Callie said to Red Hood before she chased after the cars. The second one was catching up to the first one, which would make it a lot easier to get them. She smirk, charging up her electricity as she ran. She took a slight detour so that they wouldn't see her coming, then game out a couple streets ahead of them. As they got closer, she was too close for them to change direction. She bent down and put her hands on the road, the electricity going through the road and into the two cars. The cars stopped, and the electricity managed to hit everyone in them as well. Now Callie just had to think of a way to get them either back to where the fight was or to Arkham. It wouldn't be easy, since she was fast and not strong.
“Crap, she found us. Your plan might still work, but we will need a distraction. A huge distraction.” Ivy said before her face hit the window. She groaned and watched as armed goons that were dressed like clowns came out of the car that Joker and Penguin where in. Ivy chuckled. Of course Joker would have goons who dressed up like him. The last time she had visited him, she saw him screaming at one of his goons for not wearing a green wig. “Ah, looks like she’ll have to fight the Joker’s goons first.”
“So we escape and change into civilian clothes while she’s distracted? That could work,” Lainey agreed, glancing at Ivy. “We have to wait until she’s not looking and hurry away.”
“Yes. Though, how Joker is going to leave without being seen is a mystery. You know, with the green hair and his outfit. . .he’s going to get a lot of attention. Unless he has a wig and a clothes somewhere in the car. Which, I highly doubt that he has.” Ivy looked at the window, waiting for the others to start fighting,
“So how are we supposed to get out of here with him? Are you suggesting we leave him here?” Lainey asked, glancing at Ivy again. Adrenaline buzzed through her veins, making her antsy and honestly, a bit frightened.
“No. He’s going to kill me if he finds out that we ditched him.” Ivy said quite afraid of the thought of Joker killing her. She grabbed her bag and rummaged through it, looking for something helpful. She pulled out a male brown wig and blue contacts. “Why the actual hell do i even have this?” Ivy said as she inspected them.
"I don't have time to deal with you," Callie said, sending a shockwave to each of the goons while avoiding shots. They flew into walls or the road and were knocked unconscious. She suddenly had an idea stuck in her head but didn't know if it would work. She began to run around the cars, causing a small tornado. Even if they tried to escape, they wouldn't be able to get out of it. She then began to move back towards where the fight took place, keeping the cars with her.
“Yep, we are doomed. Oh, Pamela, what have you got yourself into?” Ivy said aid as she crossed her arms. Then she suddenly got an idea, or at least part of an idea. A part of an idea that might work. They would lose the money, but they would be able to escape. “I have an idea. What if we escape when she puts us down? Or maybe Hurricane could make us all invisible if we’re able to get her out of the binds? I really don’t know what to do, I’m still putting everything together.” Ivy said to Lainey.
“Where is Black Hurricane?” Lainey asked. “And maybe we could get away if we run in opposite directions or something. She’s fast but not strong, so maybe we can use that against her somehow. Maybe I can make her so scared that she’ll go home. She’d have no way to know about my powers, so she’ll probably think it’s herself. Or maybe I can get her to feel bad for us.”
Callie arrived back at the scene, the villains stuck in her tornado. She kept her distance but always had a loud voice. "WHAT..DO..YOU..WANT..ME..TO..DO..WITH..THEM?!" she yelled at Red Hood, her words coming in bursts as she passed him. She was certain they would be plotting a way to escape, at least as long as they stayed in their cars they couldn't be seriously hurt. She didn't know what would happen if they tried to exit the cars, but she could tell it would involve head trauma at the speed they would fly out of the tornado she'd created.
“Black Hurricane is tied up, thanks to that speedster.” She paused and then continued. “Maybe your powers would work on her. But we have to come up with something, and fast.” Ivy said as she saw the police cars arrive.
Red Hood looked at the Mini tornado and sighed. “First, put them down. Second, you can help the police officers with bringing them to Arkham.” He said as Batman put Harley inside one of the police cars.
(Hey, I got caught up with homework and it seems like I fell horribly behind. Is there anyway I can slip back in or is it too late?)
(There’s still a way you can slip back in. Your character could have been busy fighting Toxic Rush’s character or something like that.)
Lainey nodded, trying to find the girl’s feelings and taking hold, gradually turning them from a determined bronze shade to a darker, less colorful shade. Apathy. That way, she wouldn’t care about letting the villains go. Lainey just hoped that it would work.
"Ok, fine." Callie stopped running, and the cars dropped from being a few metres in the air and landed on the ground. She slowly started to feel a bad feeling in the back of her head, but she ignored it. She'd lived with it for too many years because of her father, and she'd learnt to tune it out.
Lainey bit her lip. “I don’t know if this is working…I need to turn it up a notch,” she mumbled, half to herself. She concentrated harder, slipping in her favorite cocktail of emotions when she needed to incapacitate her enemies: hopelessness, helplessness, and despair. Basically, what she’d been feeling for most of the last twelve years. She narrowed her eyes, a bead of perspiration on her forehead, under the mask. If this didn’t at least give the hero pause for a minute or two, Lainey didn’t know what to do.
There's no way he's in my head. Dad is in Arkham. He can't get to me. Just push through it. She pushed the thought out of her head and shook it slightly. Then she turned to Red Hood. So I'm guessing that we have to go to Arkham with them? Isn't that what you guys do? Go with them until you know they're put away and then interrogate them or something?"
(btw i get that this is annoying, but callie's father is a secret. i guess when hes revealed it will make more sense why callie is acting like this. wednesday knows who he is and we do want him to be revealed but at the moment he can't be)
Why wasn't it working? she thought, beginning to go from anger to panic. She practiced her breathing techniques for a moment. If her own emotions got out of hand, then this wouldn't work. She pushed even harder. At least this could give the girl a headache. "Ivy, I don't think it's working!" she panicked. "What do I do?"
“Yes, we do. We wait for at least a day and then we interrogate them, but it’s pretty easy to see what their goal was. Steal forty million dollars and probably try to get rich or something.” Red Hood said with a huff.
“The only thing we can do know is letting ourself go to Arkham. If Joker managed to escape without others noticing we can too, but. . it’s going to be way more difficult. There’s another option. Killing her, but, I don’t think that’s going to work. You just have to know when to take a break, and it seems like right now is a good time.” Ivy said as she sighed and pressed her hand onto the mirror.
It was time to return to cell in Arkham, but she was sure that they would find a way to get out. And she was Joker was going to put in that white room he hates so much. From the other car, Joker hit the window with his hand. There was no way he was going to return to Arkham. No, he would rather kiss Ivy than go back to his little white cell of sadness.
(Ok, I will do that. But is there a summery of what I missed? I got a bit lost trying to read the missed replies. I'm sorry for this inconvenience.)
(The bad guys decided to steal money from a bank, and most of the replies is My character and Music Elle’s character just talking while grabbing bags of money. Batman and his. . past sidekicks managed to help the good guys on their fighting skills. There was some sort of battle between the super heroes and villains, the villains escaped and Spider Ghost’s character managed to bring them back to the crime scene. And yeah, that’s pretty much it.)
Lainey let out the rest of her mental energy sending out a last, forceful push before sighing, a slight headache blossoming in her temple. “I guess you’re right,” she admitted, eyes still darting around. Lainey may not have won this round but she wasn’t about to give up. “There has to be some way out of this…”
The Joker. He was furious, no more than furious. He wanted to kill the person next to him, which sadly, happened to be Cobblepot. As much as he despised him, he wouldn’t kill a fellow villain. Joker punched the window, not caring that it shattered, nor that his hand started bleeding. He screamed loud enough to make Batman flinch. Ivy sighed as Joker’s scream traveled, into their car and into their ears. She turned her head to face Lainey. “I’m sure there’s a way out of this, but at the moment, it looks like it ain’t gonna show to us.”
