"M-Morning…" Virgil said weakly, closing his eyes again with his heart racing. Just don't mention it… "Do you smell cookies?"
"M-Morning…" Virgil said weakly, closing his eyes again with his heart racing. Just don't mention it… "Do you smell cookies?"
Roman sniffed the air. "I do. I wonder if Patton is on one of his baking sprees again." The corners of his mouth turned up.
"Hopefully… Patton's cookies are like, the only think I'll willingly eat." Virgil yawned, moving closer to Roman when he wasn't pushed away.
"Mmm, alright then. If that's the one thing you'll eat then I'll make sure you have all the cookies you want." He shifted, pressing against Virgil.
"Cool cool…" Virgil looked up at Patton's voice calling them down. "Hhhhhngh… but walking is haaaaard…" He whined.
Roman was quiet, staring at Virgil for a few moments. "Ughh, why must you be so persuasive?" He teased, getting up, and picking up Virgil in piggy-back style, holding up his legs with his arms.
Virgil blushed again; harder this time. He hid his face in Roman's shoulder while he wrapped his arms around his neck for more stability.
Roman held on to Virgil tight and exited the room, and descending the stairs. Once they made it downstairs, Logan and Patton were standing there, where Logan said, "Yep. We were right."
Patton grinned and did an excited little dance. "Awwww! You guys are so cute!" Virgil blushed harder and pulled his hood over his head.
"I-I… um… this is just because I can't really walk right now?" Virgil lied weakly, avoiding eye contact.
"C'mon, kiddo. Even I know that's not true."
Roman froze, his face bright red. "It's only cause he can't walk! It's not what it looks like!" He protested, obviously lying. Logan nodded slowly, unconvinced. "Sure."
Virgil hid his face, groaning. "We… we just came down for cookies…" Patton grabbed the sheet and handed a couple to Roman and Virgil. "Thanks, dad."
"No problem, kiddos!"
Roman put Virgil down at the table and took a bite. It was gooey and sweet, no wonder it was one of the only things Virgil would eat. His face was still red but he calmed down a bit, seeing how cool Patton and Logan were about it. He just hoped they wouldn't tell anyone else.
(Who would they tell lol)
Virgil nibbled at the cookie quietly, still looking very tired. "You okay, kiddo?" Patton asked. "You want some coffee or something?"
"No, it's okay… I plan on crashing again after this."
(lol idk, now that I look back at it XD)
Roman glanced at Virgil, glad that he was eating without having to tell him to. It wasn't the best thing for him, but hey, it's better than nothing. "How long were we up there?" He asked Patton, eating a second cookie. It felt so short. He just wanted to feel that close to Virgil again.
Patton thought for a moment. "An hour or two, I think. Not awfully long." He hummed, eating another cookie himself.
"…I was sleeping for an hour? That's a long time…" Virgil mumbled, more to himself than to anyone else. Patton seemed a bit concerned.
"Kiddo, an hour is nowhere near enough sleep."
"It's not?" Patton shook his head, glancing to Logan and Roman for backup.
Roman shook his head in agreement with Patton. "You should get nine hours, at least."
"He's right," Logan confirmed. "Though you should aim to get more than nine."
"Nine? " Virgil asked incredulously. "Like, I know that's right, but that's so many… I get nine hours of sleep in like, I dunno… a week and a half, maybe." Patton made a small noise of concern, looking to Logan again worriedly.
"Hmm…that may be a factor of what happened this morning," Logan considered. Roman just looked at Virgil, concerned.
"I mean, yeah. That paired with not eating or drinking enough is a pretty good way to pass out." Virgil shrugged, seemingly not at all concerned.
Logan shrugged. "That too." He didn't seem at all phases by it. Roman frowned, trying to think of something better he could do for him.
(*phased. Or is it fazed? Idk)
(Fazed)
"Sleeping is hard… It's probably the anxiety." Virgil finished his cookie and rubbed at his eyes, a small yawn escaping him.
"Hmm…there's not much that can be done about that, seeing as that's what you are." Logan pointed out, as he selected a cookie.
Roman still didn't say anything.
(Yeah that's what I thought it was)
Virgil shrugged. "I suppose. I don't know if we have sleeping medication here or not…"
