(Goodnight ^^)
"Good," Roman approved. "Is your head bothering you?" He asked. He wasn't sure if they had much medicine in the house, but he knew they probably had a few pain pills lying around somewhere.
"Yeah, but it's nothing… I'm pretty used to headaches like this." Virgil lowered his hand and blinked in the lights of his room, which seemed especially bright to him. "I might take meds if it becomes a migraine, I dunno."
"Roman." Logan's voice startled Roman, who had completely forgotten he and Patton were still standing there. "I think we should let Virgil rest." Roman nodded and got up. "Rest a little bit, and I'll bring you some food later." He smiled.
"Okay…" Virgil lay back down and stayed like that until they were gone. He stood up and held onto the bedside table until his dizziness went away. He went into the bathroom and returned a couple minutes later with an empty expression and some dull, yet fresh pain. He flopped down on the bed to wait for Roman to return.
Roman made chicken noodle soup and some crackers for Virgil, because he assumed he needed something light on his stomach. He must have been hurting, after not eating for God knows how long. Holding the bowl of soup in one hand, he knocked on Virgil's door with the other.
"Come in." Virgil said tiredly, sitting up again. He toyed with the sleeves of his hoodie and looked up as Roman entered the room. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to keep anything down, but he couldn't exactly tell Roman that.
Roman smiled and sat the bowl down on the bedside table, sitting down on the bed beside him "Do you feel any better?" He asked softly.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Virgil lied, feeling Deceit nagging at him for it. He ignored the snake and turned his focus to Roman. There were a couple small smears of blood on his palms that he clenched his fists to hide.
"Good" he gestured to the bowl of soup. "Can you try a bit of it, please? It'll be light on your stomach. You don't have to eat too much."
Virgil hesitantly moved the bowl closer to himself and tried it. His stomach was already churning and screaming in protest, but he just gave Roman a forced smile and told him it tasted fine.
"Of course it does," he smirked. "How could it not, when it was made by me?" He pressed a hand to his chest, trying to lighten the mood up a bit.
Virgil laughed a bit. "Haha… yeah… perfect princey, hmm?" He raised an eyebrow and forced himself to eat a bit more of the soup.
Roman let out a quiet sigh of relief at the sight of Virgil eating. "You're doing great," he reassured him. "You don't have to eat a lot of it, just eat as much as you can."
He nodded, though he was quite pale as he continued. His throat seemed unsure what to do with food and he struggled to swallow, finding it even more difficult to keep it down.
They sat in silence for a while, while Virgil sipped at his soup, until Roman finally said, "Let's talk about something besides this." He glanced over to Virgil with a smile. "Whatever you want to talk about, Microsoft Edge."
"Um…" Virgil swallowed and coughed a bit. "What's… what's your favorite Disney song?" He asked, glad for the temporary excuse to not eat.
"Dear lord, did you have to ask something so hard?" He laughed, putting a hand to his chin. "Hmm…I would have to say Under the Sea. Though, Friends on the other side is up close to it."
Virgil looked up at that. "I… um… I like that one too." He said, fidgeting with his hands. The bowl of soup laying discarded in his lap. "I was listening to it this morning."
Roman fondly remembered waking up to Virgil's voice, which he ruled that it may almost be as good as his own. "Oh, you were, were you?" He asked. "At least you've got somewhat good taste." He joked, giving him a playful smile.
Virgil huffed indignantly. "I've got great taste in music, thank you. I bet you're just surprised I listen to anything other than My Chemical Romance."
"No!" He insisted. A few moments passed. "…well, yes," he sighed.
Virgil rolled his eyes. "I'm not angsty all the time. Well… kind of, but you know what I mean, hopefully." He went pale again and held his breath, though he tried his best not to draw attention to this.
Roman shrugged. "Yeah, I know what you mean. Though that is kind of like saying I'm not creative all the time."
"Y-You have blips." Virgil shrugged, slowly sliding his legs off the bed and standing up. He started walking towards the bathroom and was hugging his stomach. "I'll be right back…" He said quietly before closing the door. He quickly went over to the toilet to throw up, cursing himself for eating. He knew this would happen, and yet, he still did it.
