Sage couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned, but he couldn't stop thinking about Arianna. How could anyone think she would stab Alexander?! She was far too nice for that.
And she was probably going to be executed. Or exiled.
Oh god, she could be executed. Alexander would do anything for revenge.
No no no no no no. Sage's thoughts were frantic.
Making his mind up, Sage sat up and pulled on a dressing gown, before sneaking out of the dorms and using some of his magic to sneak past the guards to the cells.
Panting from the use of his powers, Sage went down the stairs and was surprised to see two figures outside Arianna's cell.
"Hello?" He called softly.

“Oh, hey Sage. Glad you could join the party.” Arianna grinned.

“Sage?” Valerie whispered, turning. “It’s kind of late, why are you up?” You’re up too, you know. Shut up.

"Uh, I was worried about Ari," Sage answered, going slightly pink. "And I might ask you the same question!"
He turned to Arianna. "Party?" His voice choked in his throat. "Arianna you might be executed! Exiled at best!"

Arianna blinked, “Righhhttt… well they don’t do executions anymore. They had them banned last week. But yes exile…” Arianna lightly hit her head against the side of the wall.

Valerie grimaced a little and glanced at Cato.

“Hey, but you’ll be fine,” Cato smiled sadly. “Because I’m going to, quote unquote, ‘admit my crimes.’”

“But then you’ll be exiled,”. Valerie grumbled, folding her arms and looking away.

“Yep,” Cato said with false cheerfulness. “Go work for a mortal forge or something. I don’t remember anything outside his camp, so it could be a fun expirience.”
