(All you need to do is post to keep it alive)
(agreed)
(ah shweet, fair enough)
'Ah, yeah, that broad can come too.' He walked through the door, with quite a lunge since it was so heavy, and quickly stepped back. Thousands upon thousands of scorpions flowed out of the doorway, quickly covering every single piece of furniture. They couldn't have been real, they wandered too aimlessly and acted predatory towards everyone in the room. One of the ghosts quickly lifted Zach and Angel off the floor before the were covered, and sent a chilling wave down the corridor of insects. The scorpions started to slow down, some of them dying but most only less chatty. Zach escaped from the ghosts grasp and ran into the now clear room, holding the door open for Angel.
'Come on, these doors are lockable, let everyone else deal with it.' He didn't immediately care about where the other gem lady was, and was rather ready to lock her out, but he motioned towards her as well.
“Oh, thank you!” She smiled, walking over to Zack before he opened the door. Angel yelped upon seeing the bed of scorpions and quickly jumped into the air, spreading her wings to hover just out of reach over the clawed arachnids.
“What are those things..?” She shuttered, staring fearfully down at them while refusing to be grabbed by a ghost. “Hey, I have wings for a reason.” Angel said stubbornly before looking back to Actinolite, who was simply walking over them like they weren’t even there, though gazing curiously down at them.
“Agreed…” She huffed.
“Actinolite…” Angel said uncertainly.
“Just call me Acti.” She replied, interrupting her creation. Angel sighed before flying through the door, her wings almost hitting the edge.
(This has gotten too out of hand for me, so, ima take my leave.)
(Bye ): )
(seeya, safe travels!)
Zach looked back at Angel, then Acti, then quickly shut the door. He wasn't going to deal with some lady who couldn't even avoid little scorpions properly, so he quickly locked the door, barricading it at the bottom to prevent any tiny scorpions entering in.
'Alright, we're safe now. Those guys are worse then average.' He then noticed the room… a clean, lab-looking sort of place that looked much like a doctor's office, with beige carpets, white lights and small ferns on tables. He ventured in to try and spot where the scorpions came from, though they could have just magically formed.
(Did he trap Acti out?)
(Yep, though I feel Acti could break into the room anyway)
(Eh, she’s not too worried)
Angel only landed after Zach secured the door, staring at it, feeling bad about the people who were left behind, including Acti. An offended huff could be heard on the other side as Acti realized that she was left behind. “Why would you do that..?” She asked somberly, feeling lied to. Even though she knew that they could take care of themselves, as they were both powerful Gems.
“Now, don’t you try anything, lab rat. I’ll know if you try to take away her power.” Acti snarled, but didn’t attempt to open the door, instead, deciding to wait until she had finished her report.
He walked on further, checking back at the door to check if everything was clear. He evaded Angel's question with his own- 'Why couldn't she have got here faster? If she were smart, she would've ran over here and properly evaded them, but no, I saw her. Being stupid and slowly observing little beasts, great idea, SCIENTIST!' He yelled out to Acti. He felt a small but prominent rage in him, and at no wonder. If what Angel said was true, and that Gem lady did make her… couldn't Acti have made Angel a little less timid? Angel was perfect for an actual angel, not some weapon of disaster, and it seemed odd to make a slave with an opposing personality. What the hell was wrong with her, if she wanted to use Angel for anything, she's gonna have a stupid amount of time trying to train her. He ignored the power comment and looked again at Angel.
'Acti actually acts like she's some top-mighty scientist, but she could've least studied enough psychology to know you don't f–king make people wait when they hold open a door for your SAFETY. ACTI, ANGEL IS TOO MUCH LIKE PERSON, YOU S–T EATING DUMB—, HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE A F–KING GOOD WEAPON FOR ONCE IN YOUR PATHETIC ALIEN LIFE, YOU B—H.' He banged the door a few times in his rant, then slouched off down the hallway. Again, like the previous room, there was a fork at the end, with one rather obvious red door. The whole room looked inviting, but somehow gave off an eerie vibe, a feeling of being watched, and a paranoid sensation similar to germphobia. Has this room been cleaned? Is it safe? Should I have had protection? The word virus kept popping up in Zachs head as he went into the left direction, another hallway with a fork in the road.
“B-but she just wanted to look at them…we haven’t seen these before….” Angel whispered to herself.
“Thank you~” Acti replied smugly, ignoring his sarcasm. “Well it’s not like they can harm us, we don’t have blood, remember..?”
What Angel said, was, indeed, true. All Gems were made, and she was made by Actinolite. But you can’t customize someone’s personality, only actions can do that. And her actions were not very kind, making sense that Angel was so submissive. Yes, she was indeed like an Angel, but she didn’t start that way. She’s had a very organic life, her personality was molded, not given to her. But every Gem is made to be loyal to their creator; their leader; their master.
“Temper, temper, lab rat~” Acti grinned. “Well, I am a ‘top-mighty scientist.’ And it’s not like a degree in brain science will give you mind control.” She chuckled, finding the thought funny. “That’s because she is a person. It seems you’ve been forgetting that she’s not just a toy for you to prance around…..” She chuckled wickedly.
If Acti just wanted a weapon, she would have simply made a weapon. No, Angel had more purpose than just being a bringer of destruction.
Angel flinched every time Zach pounded on the door, but still followed him hesitantly, even more worried. She didn’t seem to get that this place was weird, Angel actually seemed to like it quite a bit. Living with Actinolite probably made her numb to the feeling of being watched. She pointed to the creepy doctor-inviting room, “That looks like my first room.” The Gem smiled, before following behind Zach.
“Are you okay, Zach? You look pretty spooked.” Angel asked, gently nudging him with her wing, seeing him shiver at the thought of being watched.
'Huh? Oh yeah, fine… except this is one of stupidest rooms I've ever been in.' Zach heard Acti mumble outside, but he was already too far away to respond, so he ignored her remarks and walked further to the left.
'If this is your first room, then I'd hate to see where you lived. Hopefully we'll find something of value here.' The windows were big, but extremely dark no one would be able to see their reflection. Zachs steps echoed in the hallway, which made an odd sensation for the hallway itself was barely long or wide enough to allow echoes. A few minutes of walking passed, but the end seemed just as far as ever, even though the plant ots and chairs were in clear sight.
'Angel, could fly down there, you darling? I'm not interested enough to go down there myself in more then 5 seconds. This mansions supposed to have treasures and s**t in it, you know? Unless if its metaphorical treasures, those suck.'
("metaphorical treasures" Lol.)
(pfff can be anything you want, really. anyone can make up anything about the rooms and it'll be true)
“Okay, that’s good… I don’t see how this place is stupid, it’s pretty and simple.” She said, aloof to his distaste.
“I live in one of the best rooms in the base, it doesn’t even have a cage! Isn’t that fancy?” Angel beamed, unaware of how utterly concerning this comment was. She nodded at his hope of loot, personally, she wanted something cool that Acti would reward her for. Like another way to corrupt someone, that would make Acti happy.
“Of course.” She smiled, spreading her wings after walking a good distance ahead of him, as to not wack him in the face with the back of her wing. Luckily, this hall was big enough to fit her wingspan, and she didn’t have to use her smaller, slower wings. She seemed pretty happy to be called ‘darling’ as that is what Acti called her whenever she did something good, but that likely wouldn’t occur to Zach, so he might take this as s sign to continue…
All Angel wanted to do was please, and following orders was the best way to do that, in her mind. The length of this room was undetermined, so who knew how long this would take.
(Ah yes, ✨the power of friendship✨ is treasure. Not like gold is, am I right? haha)
(There are silver ships, there are gold ships, but the best ship, is ✨friendship✨)
(Brilliant)
'Well, aright, I feel any place without a cage is fancy on its own.' Then a thought occured to him… maybe he should test her out. Before she flew off, he tapped one of her wings.
'Ey, your first room, sounds great and all, but what you get to do for fun? The normality is that everyone is allowed to go outside and go, I dunno, gambling or running or travelling, all that. Normality also says that we shouldn't have stupid scientist weirdos on your back all day calling them your master… I mean, not if you're any good at living.'
Zach kept on wondering about Angel as a "creation", he still didn't understand the point of letting any person under your control have any emotion, or even a way of talking. His ghosts, their thoughts and personalities were still there, bu morphed into complete obedience for Zach, and were unable to talk on their own free will unless their master allowed them to do so. Zach gave props to Acti for actually convincing Angel she was someone worth listening to, but her reluctance to hurt anyone or make anyone upset seemed a bit of a flaw. He tried to ask another question, but by the time he thought it all through, Angel was already way down… but somehow not any further.
He decided to sit and wait. He wanted flirt with her, but he couldn't spot any feature of her that he didn't already point out… was that her butt? Under her dress? No underwear? He didn't know, but he recoiled instead.
'HEY TOOTS' he yelled, 'I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY A**FLASHES, ARIGHT, COVER IT UP, PUDDIN'.'
(I wish seduce the rat came back)
