"Yeah, I am." There was a little bit of bite in his voice. He began to get mad, but had no clue why.

Eve continues observing the girl, although she was incredibly careful not to make it obvious. When Karlan returned with her tea, Eve had a request. "Hey Karlan, has that girl ever been in here before?"
"Why, yes she has. I think she dropped in sometime within the last week. How'd you know?" Eve returned her attention to observing the "tourist".
"Just a hunch." She mumbled. "Thanks for the tea, Karlan."
Glove resumed reading. "No. Never," she said to Runner, though she was fully aware of Eve's questions.
"I think your lying." He stood up, his hands balled into fists.
Eve watched this suspicious exchange while she sipped her tea.
This time Glove did roll her eyes. "I think you woke up on wrong side of bed." She sucked on her cigarette again, ignoring the boy.
((Is she?
((Just wanting to make sure before he goes full Tega
((No, like I said, I'm just making her up on the spot. But it would be interesting if Runner kept questioning her about it))
Athena sipped at her coffee, watching. "Screw it," she muttered and once again downed the whole thing.
"Oh, bullshit." His pupils dilated to an extreme level, covering his entire visable eye for a moment before reverting back to normal.
She narrowed her eyes at him. This boy… he need to be taught a lesson in respect. "I lower your voice, If I was you. I don't know Vanguard, you don't know me."
"Runner! Stop interrogating the girl!"
He felt like stomping his foot in anger. He was the son of a fucking demon lord, and still couldn't get any fucking respect. Sure, he was a little chubby, but come on! He slowly began to drag the power out of the confusion spell that was laid across the city, unsure of what he was about to do, but knowing he was going to do something. The ceiling began to rattle slightly as he gained more and more power, freaking out the normal customers that were just trying to eat.
At this point Eve was bored, and she quickly slipped out of the cafe while the two were busy arguing. She decided she would rather wait outside than listen to them fight. Especially if she'd end up having to heal their wounds when they were done.
((I doubt she'd be able to take Runner, right?
Glove flicked her eyes up at the rumbling ceiling. Temper tantrum. Typical. She stood up and got into his face, releasing smoke into his anger-twisted face as she spoke. "Say I knew. What then."
"Runner." She put her hand on his shoulder. "Stop. It's not worth it. We have stuff to do."
((She might just be able to mess with his gravitational pull, flinging him around the place or making him super heavy, but she'd have to stay out of his range. Her magic isn't energy, it's just messing with gravity.))
"Leave." His voice had changed, taking on a distinctly inhuman accent. "I'm tired of being shadowed. You tell the Vanguard to fuck. Off.
"Ugh! Both of you! Fine. Kill each other. Whatever. I have people to find." Athena stormed out. She couldn't believe the two. She just hoped they didn't kill everyone in the town.
((Ah, but he already has it built up. ANd since she's only human, she could possible get one-shotted if he lets it all loose. Not that he would
Glove scoffed, moving the cigarette to the corner of her mouth. "You must be important, for this… Vanguard to follow you."
"I swear, they're going to kill someone," Athena said to Eve.
"Just stay the hell away from me, dig it?" he pushed passed her, walking to the door.
