Ben and Diana took their turns shaking his hand, smiling and telling him to come back again sometime. Tessa went over to them and they exchanged hugs and goodbyes. She kissed Angel's cheek, ruffled Zeus's hair, and waved to Alex. "See you guys later."
Runner walked backwards towards the door, waving goodbye as he did so.
Tess took his hand and waved goodbye as well, then they left. She led him to a nearby alley, then pulled out the portal gem. "Ready?" she asked with a smirk.
"I already regret this," he groaned, rubbing the side of his face to see if the blush would come off onto his hand. Sadly, it did not.
She activated the portal, pushing him through and kissing him feverishly as they entered the beach house living room.
Despite his blush, Runner leaned into the kiss, his hands resting onto her hips and pulling her closer.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body against his. She bit his lip lightly, asking. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.
Well, he said anything she wanted, so he offered no resistance.
She was surprised, to say the least. She deepened the kiss, running her hands down his chest and abdomen and up again. I won't run away again.
Runner's blush deepened but he refused to pull away from her. Instead, he moved even closer, tilting his head so it wasn't so awkward for him.
She pulled back for air, eyes clouded with emotion as she looked up at him.
He kept eye contact with her, whispering, "I love you," as he attempted to catch his breath.
"I love you too," she breathed against his lips, still running her hands up and down.
"You still got three minutes," he said, grinning slightly. Maybe this isn't so bad.
"Hmm," she hummed. "What to do…" Her fingers trailed down the hem of his shirt, playing with it.
"2 minutes 50, now," he teased. "You should make it quick, whatever you're planning.
Her hands slipped under his shirt, resuming their exploration as she captured his lips once again.
His heart was damn near beating out of his chest as they continued to kiss, his own pulse loud in his ears.
She shivered and pulled back again, biting her lip.
He tilted his head. "About 2 now." Not that anyone's counting.
"There's a lot I want to do, Runner." Her voice was almost hoarse and strained.
"Well," he said, grinning slightly. "I don't have to keep the time…"
"That's not what I meant." She continued trailing her hands over his chest, but they slowed down some.
"Well," he said, tilting his head. "What do you mean?"
She looked up at him, hands stopping at his lower stomach. "I think you know what I mean." Her voice had turned husky and her eyes were swirling with want.
