He hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah. I am."

She didn't look convinced. She laid back on the pillow, crossing her arms over her chest. "You don't look it."

He rolled over so he was beside her, looking slightly frustrated.

She rolled over too, wrapping her arms around his arm and resting her chin on it. "I won't run away again. I just want to be sure. I don't want you doing something you'll regret."

"I just don't know what to do. I feel like a fucking kid anytime I say that, but it's true." His frown deepened.

She circled her thumb against his skin. "You're not a kid. No one instantly knows what they're doing."

"I know how much you want this, but….I just…" he made a frustration noise, covering his face with his hands.

"As I've said numerous times–I don't want to if you don't. If you're not sure, I'll back off. Let you make the first move when you're ready."

He sighed heavily. "I'm not ready."

She reached over and grabbed her shirt, pulling it back on. "You… want me to go?" She peered over at him, ready to leave should he want her to.

He shook his head. "No, you're fine."

She settled back down next to him, hugging his arm once again.

"Sorry for getting so moody," he mumbled. "Probably ruined the moment."

"No. You're good." She smiled slightly. "I deserved it."

He looked over at her. "And why is that?"

"I ran away last time, remember? Last night?"

He shrugged. "I doubt the result would have been any different."

"Hmm. Who knows." She snuggled closer, resting her head on his arm. "I love you."

"I love you too," he sighed, inable to hold back a smile.

She playfully bit his arm with a cute little 'Rawr'. "See? I'm intimidating and snuggle-worthy."

He snorted. "Yeah, sure. I'll let you think that."

She pouted. "You're ruining my reputation. Putting a kink in my armor."

"Yeah, you got enough kinks as it is," he said, patting her head.

He feigned hurt and pushed away, rolling over so her back was to him and crossing her arms.

"Oh, and now your feeling are hurt?" he asked, poking her side playfully.
