Shool

Shool is a place of wonder. When you get there you are surrounded by the familiar, but at the same time so much is different. Trees can pick themselves up and move, fruit explodes, it rains soda, there are five (5!) moons that are a variety of colors, and two suns!! so at first glance everything seems normal and then it rains.

School was created by Jenny Kahn. It was originally a spoof assignment on the goings on at school, but Jenny enjoyed it so much that she continued writing and creating the world. As she moved place to place main characters changed or their story ended and new characters based on her current school mates were created.

Odd. While magic is in the world, there are very few people who can actually use it. You only meet two characters in the book who use it. The only other thing that is very obviously magical is Jenny's notebook.
