Two Sides to Each Tale
In a world where magic only survives in the cracks of history and old attics from the BC era, Edward Erikson isn't exactly the flashiest boy in town. That is until he comes across the cursed diary of an alleged demonic author and his whole life is turned upside down.
Comic fantasy
Magic isn't necessarily uncanny to see, but it's rarer than it was before when entities like demons and fae roamed like they owned the place (because, well, they did. For a while.)
Most things like "Black magic" or "Witchcraft" are real, but so are things like "Demons" and "Angels." The only way for a human to wield the powers of one of these beings is if they're blessed or are in possession of some sort of trinket.
TSET has about the same technology as real-world America in about 2014.
