Dark fantasy, urban fantasy, cosmic horror.

Mostly realistic, but some things have no respect for the cube square law. Such as the creature which Brandee Kwan calls a "pterodactyl from hell," and Naomi Diard variously calls a "turkey" and a "glorified fucking canary."

Extradimensional entities can be summoned. Most summons have vulnerabilities. For example: a silver-plated bullet would hurt the bird; a silver-plated .338 fired from Fatal Error would probably kill it. We hope. (Other vulnerabilities include the genus Sorbus, bog oak, artesian water, wrought iron, and probably sincere faith.)

21st century, with the occasional "weird tech."

I don't really have any romantic subplots planned. I have nonetheless realized that every vertex of the central cast is 'shippable.
