Friar's Gate
autonomous city
Friar's Gate is a religious settlement and iron mine at the base of the impenetrable Dakkur Bodden mountains. Those who venture beyond it are never heard from again. The friars who live in the Abby worship the stars, which they believe responsible for the iron in the mountains. Stars fall into the mountains and become iron. The Silver Sisterhood at Friar's Gate is an elite group of priestess' who represents the feminine side of the stars, the starlight itself. During the autumn, every three years, there are weeks where one can witness the stars fall to earth every night. There is a great temple to the Star Gods where people come to worship and give offerings to the Gods and to the Iron Friars and Silver Sisterhood. They are a self sustaining city.

War of the Red Guard. Against Oxirya (what the kingdoms were called before they spit.) The red guard was founded to make sure Friar's gate maintained it's autonomy.
Friar's Gate has two standards. They always have. The Iron Friars and the Red Guard bear a standard of three large rust stars and a black sword on a stone grey field. The Silver Sisterhood and the White Guard bear a standard of three large silver stars streaking across a field of dark blue.
