The Dark Flame Glove

It is a magically enchanted glove, able to create a multitude of flame and darkness spells that can be activated with the snap of its owners fingers.

It's unknown what kind of material the glove is actually made from, but it looks like a type of fabric and feels like silk. However, it's not flammable and it absorbs both flame and shadow magic. The fabric also cannot tear.

It appears as a long black glove that ends just a little past the elbow. Upon the back of the palm is a silver plate in the shape of a magic circle upon which two gems rest - a black gem and a red gem. The silver plate cannot be removed from the glove.

When she rose, she along with several other bodies were laying on tables in a morgue. The other corpses were charred beyond identification, but part of one in particular survived. Or rather, something that had been on them. It was still in the process of being surgically removed, but upon the wrist of one of the corpses was what looked like a black leather glove - with a red gem and a black gem at its center, surrounded by rune glyphs. Magic radiated from it. Aerallis took the glove for her own, and has been wearing it since.

THE RED GEM - When active, the red gem is able to create a multitude of flame spells that can be activated with the snap of her fingers. From small embers to explosions and even fire tornadoes, the this magical item is not a weapon to be taken lightly.

The glove can also absorb and redirect flame and electric/lightning magic, and can work in tandem to wind - magic or otherwise. As the flames produced by the glove are magic, they are unaffected by water and ice much like a class 2 fire. However, the magic relies upon available oxygen. Thus if oxygen is taken out of the equation, the flame glove cannot produce it's magical fires. Fortunately or unfortunately, it can only be active when worn. If removed from the hand of its user, the glove's magic will fizz out - reduced instead to a wisp or a pillar of smoke.

THE BLACK GEM - Despite its name, the Flame Glove produces a different kind of magic from the black gem at its center. The Black Gem controls black magic. Or more specifically, shadow magic. While the magic produced by the Dark Stone isn't as extensive as her black magic when she was a mage, the stone is capable of manifesting shadows that can act as living weapons that can be controlled by the sway of the glove.

The shadows can manifest as tendrils, spears, rows of sharp teeth, a shield, and to a lesser degree, a small black hole with a short lifespan. It does not allow it's user to teleport through darkness, nor can it be used to manipulate gravity to an extreme degree. No amount of light can pierce the shadows that the glove creates, but it's unknown if light magic can be used to combat it. Currently, the only known way to defeat the glove's black magic is to remove the flame glove from Aera's hand.
