Page Fitzroy
Page got accepted (or rather, aggressively recruited) to Ames on what she thinks is a track scholarship, but she tore her ACL last semester under mysterious circumstances and is in need of a new way to occupy her time. A brave, good-natured knight in shining armor, she is about to find out a lot of big things she never knew: for instance, she's the chosen one!
Keisha has her in her phone as Longshanks. Something about medieval history and her height?
19-22
Buoyant, confident. Tall, and carries herself like it, but generally comes across as approachable and laid-back.
Connecting with the mother she never knew, feeling grounded and self-assured, justice, or a good time.
Stubborn, competitive, emotionally guarded. While she projects confidence and stability, she is terrified of confronting her deeper feelings, and tends to repress any sadness, grief, or otherwise unpleasant thoughts.
Charismatic, outgoing, fun-loving, and brave. She has a way of putting people at ease, and can get along with almost anyone. Additionally, aside from her Casanova persona, she is genuinely kind and affectionate.
She can get along with almost anyone, and only really immediately dislikes people who are full-on assholes on purpose. However, she's a little judgmental towards those she deems stuffy or prudish.
Very athletic and fast. A lot of people have had a crush on her.
Running, hiking, hate-watching bad movies with her friends. She also likes building things and working with her hands when she gets the chance, an affinity she developed in high school stage crew.
ESFP 7w8
Insomnia and ADHD (undiagnosed).
Libra Sun, Gemini Rising, Aries Moon
Losing loved ones (through death or otherwise), losing composure, heights
Being outdoors, making people laugh, flirting, winning
Talking about her problems, boredom
As gay as it gets.

Page was born in Ames to Cherry (a dryad) and Sean Fitzroy, and shortly afterward they moved near Camden, NJ in order to be close to Sean's family (and away from an Ames that was becoming increasingly hostile to dryads). When Page was a year old, Cherry visited Ames to see her family in Maplewood, but was killed by a bitter suitor of Magnolia's in revenge. Page was raised by her father alone (with plenty of help from his parents), and was made to believe that her mother died in a car crash (because how do you explain all of that to a young child?).
Though she sometimes grew sad about never really knowing her mother, Page had a generally good childhood. Her father cared about her very much, and despite his occasionally absent-minded nature, he was a good parent and provided for her well. Page was athletic from a young age, and had a strong connection with nature despite not knowing about her "family history." She was tall for her age her whole life, and had a knack for climbing trees. She also liked playing soccer, kickball, and even football, more than able to hold her own against slightly older kids. However, though she liked team sports and was always competitive, she enjoyed running the most. Her mind would go blank when she raced, and she would think of lovely things, happy to be outside.
In elementary school, Page was boisterous and spirited. She was never the best student, but in first grade, a deskmate called her stupid, which compelled her to study harder out of spite (she always had a stubborn streak). She was hard-working enough in school to get decent grades, and Sean was proud of her regardless. Her best friends were Ellis Tomasko and Lila Mukherjee, and they remained close even in high school.
Towards the end of elementary school, Page began to realize that she liked girls, and as a result, had a somewhat awkward phase in middle school as she grew into her sexuality. She came out to her father at 12, and he was immediately accepting. However, her neon braces and diy pixie cut were not exactly drawing the ladies in, and while her friends and peers were having their first kisses, she felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb for her clear lack of romantic interest in men. It didn't help her self-confidence she was about a head taller than even the boys in her class, and any of the girls would have to stand on their tiptoes to even reach her lips. Page began to dwell more on the fact that she didn't have her mother around to guide her, and felt a bit powerless.
In high school, Page started to come into her own. In addition to being the star of the track and cross country teams, she joined stage crew to hang out with Lila and build sets, and as a result, was invited to all the cast parties. Page's first kiss was at 15, at the Hello Dolly! cast sleepover, with Sabrina, the 11th grader who played Minnie. Shortly after this, she got her braces off, and developed much more confidence in her appearance and her androgynous charm. She became almost something of a playboy, since receiving female attention gave her a grounding sense of self-assuredness and control, and a good portion of the lesbian and bisexual girls at her high school all had a crush on her at some point.
At the beginning of senior year, Page wasn't sure where she wanted to go to college, or even if she wanted to, but Sean and her grandparents encouraged her when she started getting offered track and cross country scholarships. Ames, her parents' alma mater, seemed particularly interested in her. Though her father was hesitant about the idea at first, her Ames admissions liaison, Laurel, practically begged her to come, and when she was offered a full-tuition track scholarship (at a prestigious school, with her solid 2.8 GPA), neither she or Sean could say no.
Page enjoyed most of her first semester at Ames. She trained often with the rest of the track team, and she grew close to them, especially her roommate Keisha. She also went to plenty of parties and inter-team mixers, and continued her grand tradition of being boyishly handsome and kissing ladies. However, a bizarre injury at a 5k invitational in December meant she was out of commission for running for at least the first part of the next semester. No longer able to practice with her team like she was before, Page enrolled in Mysteries of Ames because she knew she'd get bored if she didn't. And who knows, it sounded exciting.

She's always had an affinity for cherry blossoms. Who knows why though?
The Lion King. She has been known to drunkenly pick up her smaller friends and yell "SIMBAAA!"
It's been Halsey since she was 15.
Her first crush was her childhood best friend Lila. She started to realize she was a lesbian at around 12, and Lila (who did eventually come out as bi) was the most "accessible" girl to her in middle school.
When she was 15, she was invited to cast sleepover for her school's production of Hello Dolly!, for which she and Lila painted sets. She had begun to come into her own, it was clear to everyone around her, and it was at this party that she finally stepped up and kissed a girl for the first time: Sabrina, who played Minnie. She had her second and third kiss with different women the very next week.
Light beer, or whatever's offered to her. She's not picky.
Margarita. She's simultaneously flamboyant and laid-back; refreshing, zesty, and a tiny bit rough around the edges to keep things interesting.
Not at all. Her vocal range is probably less than an octave, and she has abysmal pitch. This doesn't stop her from singing along to pop anthems, but it's Page, so it's still charming.
School was never her strong suit, but she enjoyed woodshop, and she was decent at life science courses.
Boxer shorts and an oversized t-shirt, and she'll tie her hair in pigtails to keep it manageable the next morning (she would never wear it like this in public).
(Silence.)
Not particularly sensitive, but there are definitely things that can push her buttons.
There are a ton that she quotes on a regular basis, including "Chris, is that a weed?!" "Hurricane Katrina? More like Hurricane Tortilla!" and "look at all those chickens!" However, her all-time favorite is probably "if your name is Junior, and you're really handsome, come on raise your hand!"
Well, first of all, this doesn't happen very often, and when it does happen, it's rare that she'll catch on. If she does, she'll likely be miffed for a minute before not caring anymore. She's much more bothered by people she doesn't like than by people who don't like her.
On the cusp of distinguished and functional.
Dumbass.

She is by far the most confident and extroverted in Mysteries of Ames, and facilitated the group getting close by inviting them to hang out in her room and on her floor lounge.
Much like Page, I am a tall girl who likes to dress androgynously.

She's not especially politically literate, but she's a registered democrat, and cares a lot about environmental issues.
College student, track athlete, former waitress

A small silver filigree ring, formed to look like vines. It belonged to her mother.
Historically, she's used her fists. When setting out on their quest, she grabs a hammer and a boxcutter from her toolkit to be safe ("Do you buy all your murder weapons at Home Depot? God, you're butch"). Later, she fights with Damselfly, and when necessary, The Cuff.
Dogs, especially big dogs. She wants a Newfoundland someday.
