"Because there is no other option," Blake said coldly.
"Because we never stop fighting," Luke said, staring at you.
(Not to kill the mood, but sorry if we're excluding you at all, @Amber. I promise that's not our intent)
(Yeah, sorry about that)
“There’s always another option.” I said quietly.
Blake stared at the three of you with tired irritation. "Oh, is there? What pray, do you suggest?"
“Nothing, I have nothing.” I hung my head. “What happened to the girl that killed Crash? What was her punishment?” I had to keep him talking, just until we had a plan.
"You care? I'm surprised. Currently, she is in one of the lower levels, being taken care of by my secretary Rokken. He loathes disobedience, and takes great joy in punishing those disloyal to me. I'll spare you the details. Perhaps, if one of your friends steps out of line, I'll let you watch next time."
My hand tightened around Luke’s. “No, no more.” I flung my hands down and darkness erupted in a wall. “Go!” I shouted to Luke and Nathan.
(So, I have to go for a bit next, and I think Amber isn't here right now? So if it's okay with you, you can have a turn with the cliffhanger and we'll wait to see if she comes back. Sound good?)
(All good, see ya in a bit!)
(of course there's a chance she went to bed, since it'll be pretty late for her by now)
(Hold the thought, we'll all be back at it tomorrow, I'm sure)
(Um, I think either me or amber)
My hand tightened around Luke’s. “No, no more.” I flung my hands down and darkness erupted in a wall. “Go!” I shouted to Luke and Nathan.
"I'm not leaving you this time, Maddie!" Nathan growled. In one swift movement, a wall of ice had risen between Blake and the group. "How about we all run?" he panted.
(I'm really sorry I keep disappearing you guys, Notebook has been going all funny recently)
(It's all good)
Luke straightened and helped Maddie to her feet. "I agree, but first we gotta get through the door."
Standing in their way was the long-aired man from earlier. Maddie recognized him as Kaiser. He curled his lip at them, a curved dagger in his hand.
