"It's, erm, fine. Shall we be off then?" she asked, swinging on the locket.
"It's, erm, fine. Shall we be off then?" she asked, swinging on the locket.
"Yeah." Havenwood inhaled deeply, calming himself and stuck out his hand. "It'll be okay."
Maria took his hand, ready to teleport.
They teleported directly into the cave this time, where Havenwood walked away to check the entryway and his room. "Alright, he's not here. Should we get started?"
"Yes, let's get started. I already have a good idea of what to do, so we can begin without any formalities." she grinned.
"Okay, what's your idea?" Havenwood turned to face her and walked over.
"Well…." Maria said, piling several intricate designs and blueprints onto the table. She explained what they were and what they were for, and the two set to work.
It was an eventful day, and they weren't interrupted, as Havenwood was worried about. They forged the steel needed for the project and molded it before Maria had to go home.
"Ah, look at the time. It slips by while we're having fun. Well, I sent the first payment (reverted into human cash) in your requested bank account." He stuck his hand out. "Today was great!"
"It was." she smiled.
"See you tomorrow at 12:45?" He grinned back.
"We can do earlier. I'm not busy tomorrow."
"Alright. What's okay with you?"
"9:30 a.m. work for you?"
"Sure, see you then." He waved his fingers around on his already outstretched hand.
Maria took his hand. When he had left, she stepped into her house and lay down, unable to sleep. She managed to do so am hour later, and woke up feeling refreshed as ever and ready for a new day.
At 9:30 sharp Havenwood appeared in her room. "Are you up yet?" He called gingerly.
"¿Qué estás haciendo aqui?" Maria exclaimed , pulling the covers in front of her bare torso.
Translation: "What are you doing here?"
"Wh- it's nine thirty!" Havenwood stumbled back.
"Oh. It's you. Well don't just stand there gaping, give me a little privacy to get dressed!" she snapped.
"Alright, alright!" Havenwood couldn't snap back; that took him totally by surprise. He shuffled out of the room and looked out the window, shaking his head.
Maria quickly pulled on an outfit and walked out. "Next time, would it kill you to knock?" she asked grumpily.
"I expected you to be ready…" He faltered at the look on her face. "I-I'm sorry."
"It's fine, just don't barge into people's rooms like that. It's perverted and creepy." she said.
Havenwood bit his lip and shuffled into himself, attempting painfully badly to make himself appear smaller. "Alright. Sorry again."
"It's fine. Let's go!" she smiled.
