"Let's go." He stuck his hand out.
"Let's go." He stuck his hand out.
Maria took his hand.
They disappeared from her home and to a large mountain. It was exactly how it described in the legends and such. Havenwood let her hand go. "Follow me, and don't look anyone in the eyes."
"Erm, okay." Maria mumbled. Suddenly this felt like a bad idea.
(I'm gonna hafta go soon but I'll be back later)
Havenwood glanced around and started walking quickly forwards.
Maria followed. She looked down at her feet awkwardly.
(Hello, sorry I had to do a thing. Are you here?)
After walking north for some time, he turned into a shadowy cave which was alive with sparks from an abandoned blacksmith's forge.
"This is usually where I work. It's kinda hot in here, but it's home."
(Yup! Hi!) "I'm used to high heat." Maria said.
(Howdy!)
"Good. I have a place where I sleep over there." He pointed to a little path presumably leading off to another cave. "You can take it if you want."
"No, I can just go home after work. It's fine, really."
(Actually, about shipping. I'd actually like to do that, but I'd rather we take it slowly if that's okay?)
(Yeah, but there's a reason he offered…)
"I'm not going to be sleeping with you. I'm just giving you my bed because… it will be very hard to go back and forth."
"I'm sure I can manage, thanks." she said. "I would prefer to stay on Earth, I hope you'll understand."
"Of course. It'll be hard to hide you from Zeus, though, but I'll do the best I can. Anyway, let's get started, shall we?"
"Right. What do I need to do?" she asked.
"Well, I suppose I should walk you through how to weld and smith some steel for the stuff that the Gods want. You do that by…" And soon, after a cripplingly hard day (nevertheless fun and different), Havenwood raised his head to look outside.
"Hey, look at the time. I suppose I should send you back."
"Yeah, I suppose so. What time should we meet tomorrow? Does 12:45 work? I have some…. previous engagements I need to take care of." she said.
"Yeah, 12:45's fine. I'll probably heat up the forge, start the metal we'll need for the day and pick you up. So I might be a tad late."
"It's not a problem. See you tomorrow!" she grinned.
"See you." He grinned back a little and warped her back to her apartment.
Maria walked inside and got ready for bed. She fell asleep, dreaming of the day's events.
(Perhaps we could time skip? Or would that be too quick?)
(I kinda want to write just one thing, but then yeah.)
(Okay go ahead. It's the next morning)
Maria woke up at 7 a.m. She took a shower and brushed her teeth, then ran outside to her motorcycle as quickly as possible. She drove to a hospital, checked in, and raced to room 41. "Camila!" she smiled. There was a young woman, slightly younger than Maria herself sitting on the bed. "Maria." Camila smiled. The two chatted for a while, and Maria found herself talking about her new job. She didn't explain it fully, but talked about how she was doing some more design projects. Camila's eyes lit up hearing Maria's excitement. Maria checked her watch. 12:45. "I'm sorry Camila, I need to go. See you tomorrow, querida hermana.*" she said, walking out the door. She ran back to her apartment and waited for Havenwood.
*Querida hermana means "Dearest sister". I Google translated it since I'm a bit rusty on Spanish, sorry!
(Okay. I don't mind at all. ^~^)
Havenwood appeared one hour late ashy faced and nervous looking. "Hey, sorry I'm late. Prometheus almost caught on."
