Cally stiffened. She could practically feel the magic running around there. It pulled at her, making her feel out of place. It was like something was itching under her skin. "I don't like it here," she whispered.
Cally stiffened. She could practically feel the magic running around there. It pulled at her, making her feel out of place. It was like something was itching under her skin. "I don't like it here," she whispered.
“Hush.” Andion replied, as they drew nearer to her house. Some other witches walked down the road and Andion turned her back, luckily they didn’t glance in her direction and she kept walking.
Cally quietly let out a choked noise. She sucked in a breath, trying not to let it get to her. It was all too much.
“We’re here now.” Andion said, kicking open her door.
It was fairly nice, pots and plants lining the windows, letting in the sunlight. Eveything was neat and organised and there were many books.
Cally groaned and attempted to maneuver herself out of Andion's arms. "I can't-" she said, trying to explain how overwhelming it was and failing to find the words.
Andion placed her down on the couch, “I’ll go get some healing potions.”
Cally's eyes fluttered shut. It was easier to focus now that she was inside and alone with Andion, but she still felt wrong all over. Her arm throbbed, and she let out another pained groan. "Ow."
Andion came back a few moments later with viles of liquids in many colours, some sparkling and another’s bubbling or staring still. She pulled up a stool and rolled her sleeves up, taking a cloth and a blackish looking liquid and dabbing it across the wounds, using a little of her own magic as well.
Cally flinched away from the touch. "What the hell is that?"
“Juris, it’s a healing potion.” She said flatly, continuing to clean the wound.
"How… How long will I be here? There's…. there's too much magic." Cally said, trying not to flinch away anymore. "And I can't feel my arm. I think it's been dislocated for three hours."
“Dislocated arm?” Andion said, putting the potion down, “What me to put back in place?”
Cally took a shuddering breath and scrunched her face up. "I need it back in place, so I don't really have a choice." She said, mentally preparing herself.
Andion didn’t warn her when she quickly grabbed her arm and popped it back into place easily. She released a breath after she did so.
Cally choked on something mixed between a scream and a sob as her arm was yanked back into place. She cursed and fell against the couch, not completely wanting to move.
“There, drink this.” Andion handed Cally a sweet smelling red vile the was bubbling a little, “It’ll heal the other wounds in no time. Now you just need to rest.”
Cally eyed the bottle suspiciously. "And I'm supposed to drink the whole thing?"
“Yes.” Andion said bluntly, crossing her arms and motioning for he to drink the bottle.
"Fine." She said, sitting up. She made eye contact with Andion before knocking her head back and starting to drink it. She set the bottle down after she'd finished swallowing. "How do I know you didn't just poison me?"
“If I’d wanted to kill you I would have done it in the woods, not here with so many eyes.” Andion said as she started to pack away the other viles and dirty cloths.
"I could be your experiment." Cally said jokingly. "You're only keeping me in the dark for the initial testing phase."
Andion rolled her eyes, “Not true.” Was all she replied with as she packed away the bottles in a near by cupboard.
Cally smiled. "Oh, come on. Injured, isolated, on the run, and extremely attractive. I'm the perfect target."
“Is attractive really something you had to add?” Andion asked, closing the doors to the cupboard.
"Don't be jealous," she said, falling back onto the couch. "You're pretty too."
