"A lot of weird stuff," Cally said, thinking. "Sometimes we play truth or dare, or other games with our friends. Most of them are legal."
"A lot of weird stuff," Cally said, thinking. "Sometimes we play truth or dare, or other games with our friends. Most of them are legal."
“Most of them? Which are illegal?” Andion asked, crossing her arms over her chest,
"None of them. Forget you heard that." Cally said quickly. "Besides, it's not like I play them anymore. I left all my friends behind when I started running."
Andion looked down at her hands before back to Cally, “What did you do, if I might ask?” Andion said, her tone slightly softer then normal.
"It's not what I did, it's what I couldn't do." She said. Her grin had fallen from her face. "They wanted me to get married to someone I didn't know, to have kids I didn't want to have. I- I couldn't do it. So I ran, and fled to other territories. I did what I had to to survive, and when they find out they tried to arrest me. I escaped, once again, and then you found me."
“Did you ever meet the man you were supposed to marry?” Andion questioned, trying to keep the harshness from her voice.
"Nope." Cally said. "But I doubt I would've loved him."
“How do you know? Fate works in weird was sometimes and you might have had a happy life…” Andion shrugged, “But, if you didn’t want to marry then that’s fine.”
"Andion." Cally said, the small smile back on her lips. "I'm gay. I wouldn't love him because I'm not attracted to men."
“Oh,” Andion blinked and ran a hand through her hair, “That solves my question then… sorry for assuming wrong about you.”
"Water under the bridge." She tilted her head to the side. "What about you?"
Andion let out a nervous laugh, “Same as you.” She replied with a half smile.
Cally tilted her head to the side. "Glad my flirting wasn't wasted then."
“Y-you were flirting?” Andion hadn’t even noticed.
Cally stared at Andion for a moment before bursting out in laughter. "Sorry, sorry," she said, waving her hand, after she had calmed down. "You just looked so shocked when you said that."
Andion rolled her eyes but a small smile tugged at her lips, “Yeah yeah, you got the witch to show an emotion, well done you.”
Cally hummed. "I feel accomplished."
Andion crossed her arms and fiddled with a thread on her pants, “Yeah, you should do.”
"So back to our fun discussion…." Cally said, "if you haven't guessed it already, I'm bored."
Andion looked up, “Well… what do you want to do? I could show you around the city but there’s a chance you’ll get caught.”
"Well, can witches even tell who's a witch and who's human? I could just pretend to be a witch," Cally said smirking. "I could be your mysterious ex lover trying to reclaim your heart. Or your cousin. Just something like that."
Andion thought for a moment, “Sure, that does mean you’ll have to change. You’ll be too easy to spot as a human if you don’t.” She said, standing and walking into the back room, fishing out some black clothes and a deep red cape.
Cally snorted. "Witches sure do have the whole angst aesthetic going on, don't they?" She stood up, reaching out for the clothes.
Andion rolled her eyes, “Yes, they do.” She handed Cally the clothes before going back into the room, trying to find her own cloak of navy blue and gold.
(Wait, are the clothes a dress or pants and a shirt?)
