(jez has no idea she didnt mean for it to come out that way )

he internally cursed, Butt Muffins… he offered an awkward smile to jez. "Yeah i do…its how we communicated, me and my family, I mean.it's okay if you dont know, i was just wondering since it might be easier." he put a hand on his neck, "im gonna see if i can find something for my cat." he spoke softly, before turning to walk in a different direction that jez.

(okay but wouldnt it be funny, if jess approached evan first)

she nodded, glad that Darius and Gus caught onto her about to leave, if she were out there right now…well she didn't want to think about it.
she thought about the situation she grew up in, and how they would always treat her like crap and how she grew used to being treated that way, so she let it happen.
"N-never..?" she looked up at gus. "b-but..what if they come back..?"

"Either they're long gone," Gus replied firmly, "or we show them what's what when they find us again. They'd better think twice before messin' with a big group like ours. No matter what, they ain't got any right to waste your time no more. So keep your chin up and put 'em right outta your head, okay kid?"

Darius just be standing there holding that thing for Gus. Not quite sure what is going on or what to do. So he be chilling.

June is asleep…wherever Jasper dragged her. Then she jumps up suddenly and looks around with slight panic.

(Lol anyone woukd be a better teacher than Jesse)
(Also Jesse's not going to be nice about "approaching" the boys. Jezariah already tried to fight her. She's pissed and she thinks Evans with him. Which he basically is but not how she realizes. Idk if that made sense.)
(Also Evan is so wholesome. "Butt Muffins" i love him so much already XD)

Jezariah smiles at Evan for a second, opening his mouth to speak but he had turned away too quickly.
He sighs guess I'll ask him later? he thought, not seeing it as too important.
"Uh wait-" he says, "uh" Jez pauses, "don't wander too far. I'll be near the cans section if you need anything. I don't want us splitting up too much. Just for safety is all" he says

Jesse eyes the door know of the back, her hand going down to the handle, turning it.
None to her surprise, it didnt budge. She expected it not to but if she had passed it and it wasn't locked, she would have felt like such an idiot.
Letting out a sigh, she rounds back to the ladder she passed on her way to the back.
A long white metal ladder was found attached to the side, blending in with the off-white paint on the buildings exterior.
She wipes her hand on it, the paint scraping off to reveal rested metal. With how big and heavy she was, she doubted the ladder would hold.
Though it wasn't too high of a drop, nor too high to climb. So with that, she steps up to the third bar and starts climbing the rickety ladder. The bolts holding it into the building rattling with every movement she made before hoisting herself up to the roof.
She sat there with a huff, looking over the area. Nobody was around.
To anyone else they'd see that as a rather depressing, hopeless sign. But to Jesse, this couldn't be going any better.

(oh I know she won't be lol, but it would be kinda funny if Jess was trying to talk to Evan, and he didn't hear his because of his hearing disability and she finally gets tried of trying to talk to him and pulls him out of his intense cat food debate like STOP IGNORING ME YOU LITTLE OF CRAP)
(Me just realizing he probably got called that before- anyway- what was Jez gonna say?)

Evan had already walked off before Jez spoke and didn't hear him when he talked about where he would be figuring he would find him when they met up to leave. He went to search and found pet food, definitely not a thing people wanted for the apocalypse so there was a good bit, the question was that they really couldn't carry a huge bag of cat food around with them, so he just grabbed canned cat food that looked okay and shoved a bunch in his bag and zipped it up before looking at some other stuff.

(That's awful, I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. Please take all the time you need, it's totally understandable. I hope things get better for you soon hugs)

(thank you, again im really sorry, its just this roleplay is alot to take in when you have severe emotional abuse going in your home, and its like this is the thing that broke me, the spray bottle, they treat me as if i'm a cat, not a human being with emotions and trauma for what they do to me. So again its alot to deal with on top of my home situation right now, and im sorry, truly.)

( it really is okay man! We understand, mental health and just your health in general is so much better then trying to keep up with a roleplay, we care about you and want you to stay safe. I'm sorry that your having to go through all that, and I hope things get better for you.)

she nodded, offering him a soft smile. "M-mhm…r-really..thanks. thank you so much for welcoming me and helping me so much.."

"Acourse." Gus patted her shoulder. "Now what say we head back over to the others 'n you can help us finish th' defenses up front? Or you can jus' keep watch while we do it, either way. I think we'd better get these hatches battened down before th' moon rises."

she nodded, realizing she took valuable time away from them working defenses. "y-yeah…sorry…" she looked down a bit, but she appreciated the shoulder pat.
"i-i can help."

(Wait!…..I'm so sorry I didn't realize it was my turn T.T)
"Don't worry about it, sometimes a good cry is jus' what has t' happen. Now let's get to it." Straightening, he led the way back to the front of the store and noticed Darius still holding the board in place. "Aw, shoot, sorry Darius. Looks like I'm gettin' as forgetful as you now. You can let go of that there board, it's nailed down good enough. Jasper, y'wanna help us get these pretty curtains slapped up? I'll find you a stepladder."

Darius blinked, “oh, ha I guess I coulda noticed that” he said letting go of the board. “Where is June?” He asked out loud, not sure who knew where she was.
