Gus's smile vanished as Elodie spoke and he noticed her injury for the first time. "Hold on. She shot you? I though you were pals." A throb of worry started up in his chest. He stepped forward. "This guy you met–was he kinda tall, dark skinned, serious-lookin'? Had a couple piercings?"
Elodie nodded briskly, rubbing her arm with her hand awkwardly.
"Jesse is my friend, she's just a bit intense." She said quietly, not looking at anything but the ground.
Gus took off his hat and scrubbed a hand through his hair anxiously. 'Intense' sounded like an understatement. He knew of people back home who were so casual with their guns that they might accidentally shoot a non-enemy, but no one who'd do it on purpose. "We got first-aid stuff in th' back if you need it," he told Elodie distractedly, his thoughts racing. "What happened after she shot you? Did she go fer the guy too?"
"Gus and our other f-friend..saved me… that's why I'm here with them.." she spoke after Elodies response, before moving to go behind Gus, just kinda seeking shelter in him from her thoughts as the two of them talked back and forth. she gripped the behind of Gus's shirt, if that girl had done something to Jez….she didn't know what she would do.
"is she attractive I wonder" June muttered to herself hugging Darius so that he wouldn't just decide to wander off.
Elodie shook her head at Gus' question.
"No I threw a complete hissy fit and she took me home, y'know to like make sure I wouldnt bleed out or anything." She said softly.
Gus nodded, relieved, but still couldn't completely dismiss his concern. He locked the trapdoor and waved for Elodie and the others to follow him to the staff-only room. He could feel Jasper hanging onto him and patted her shoulder to let her know everything was fine—even though he himself wasn't so sure.
"So," he said to Elodie. "You got patched up, and then I guess this Jesse went back out t' look for our pal again? Is that right?" As he spoke, he got his first-aid kit out of his backpack and beckoned Elodie over. Patched up or not, he wanted to take a look at her bullet wound and make sure it was fully treated.
Elodie followed quietly, keeping her head down, she sat down, cross legged and kept her eyes away from everyone, when she first met these people she had confidence they were trust her but the way the girl; Jasper reacted was making her feel like a misfit for sure. Though she couldn't really blame them, they were scared and she was a stranger, though she was nice she was still a stranger.
"I think so but i'm not sure, I was asleep when she left blood loss makes you very tired apparently." She said with a soft smile, her hands resting in her lap.
(Sorry guys. I'm honestly starting to wonder about Write, it's been like a month and I hate to progress the story much further without them….)
(yes definitely, I will try to message them, see if they're alright—)
(did you get a response yet??)
(yeah me too, kinda worrysome)
(I feel like either they're really busy or something must've come up because they seemed to care too much about this rp to just abandon it. They've already been gone for a month, so maybe we should give them a while longer before deciding what to do, yeah? Maybe they lost their password or got behind on schoolwork or something.)
(agreed, we should give them time to come back)
