Tseth looks up at Salmook leaving the room. He tilts his head. “I don’t know. Maybe you should find out.”
Tseth looks up at Salmook leaving the room. He tilts his head. “I don’t know. Maybe you should find out.”
Salmook looks back to Tseth-friend. He wasn't planning on leaving, really, but he wants to know where Daph-friend went.
"Me be back! Find Daph-friend and be back."
He steps outside, looking around. Where is she?
(Bestie she’s not hiding)
(She’s literally right there in the hallway)
Tseth takes the chance to finish his plate of food. The kid would probably be back soon, there weren’t many places Daphne would be. Tseth puts the finished plate on the table and… hopefully it would disappear after he left the room. That’s how everything’s been working out so far.
(ame sshhh I was expecting you to jump in)
(oH sorry)
Daphne crosses her arms and sighs, looking around. She looks over at Salmook, tilting her head. “You good over there?”
Salmook smiles a little at Daph-friend.
"Me look for you!"
He moves a little closer - enough to be polite, but still keeping a distance between him and Daph-friend. He doesn't know her as much as he knows Tseth-friend, and he's only just had his first casual conversation with Tseth-friend.
"You get food, too? Eat?"
Daphne furrows her brows, visibly confused. Why does he care? We just met. “Uh- yeah, I ate.” For once-
Salmook nods at that, and then he looks around the hallway.
"What we do here? Me just wake up, and bore! We just eat and sleep? No fun."
He's hoping Daph-friend has some more ideas than he does. Talking to everyone else can only go so far.
Daphne glances around and shrugs. “I don’t know, kid. It doesn’t look like it’s meant to be very fun here.” She thinks for a moment. “I guess you could explore, if you want.”
Tseth peeks out the hallway. Oh good, they’re talking. He turns back to his room, and fixes the bed so it’s neat again. He looks around the room, and sits down on the floor with his head against the wall.
That's a good idea. Exploring!
…But where?
Salmook looks out past the hallway and into the main room. There were a few other doors in there - the scary stabby room door and two others. Oh… and the danger-lady was out there, too… He looks a little hopeful at Daph-friend and raises his voice so maybe Tseth-friend hears him, too.
"Me explore. You come with me?"
(Tseth, dissociating: no)
Daphne blinks a few times. Oh, great- “Uh… sure. I’ll come with you.” She looks into the main room, glancing at the supply closet. Definitely won’t go in there, though… She shudders slightly, then looks back at Salmook. “Um- where do you want to go?”
(>Tseth, dissociating: no)
(Rude /j)
Salmook's more than a little glad that Daph-friend agreed to go with him. He walks past her and into the main room, gesturing towards the two other doors there.
"Maybe we explore there?"
Daphne tilts her head, then shrugs. “Yeah, that sounds good.” She walks toward the door on the right, then cautiously opens it.
The room on the other side looks a bit like the main room, but smaller. There are a few clipboards, papers, and pens scattered on the tables, and most of the papers have writing on them. There’s also a cork board on the wall, with more papers pinned to it. Daphne narrows her eyes. “What’s all this..?”
(spy room spy room spy room)
(Pffft)
Salmook peeks into the new room from behind Daph-friend. There's so much stuff in there!
He looks up at Daphne and then around the room, just in case anyone else was in there. It didn't seem like it, but he was mostly distracted by how much STUFF was in it.
"Oohh… We go in?"
Daphne seems really uneasy. She takes a deep breath, then slowly walks into the room. She looks around, then beckons for Salmook to come in. She wants the kid to stay close, just in case. She probably wouldn’t be great at protecting him, though… I guess it’s worth a shot.
Salmook stays close to Daphne's side, peeking at everything in the room with wide eyes. So much parchment and so many little squiggles on them! He's a bit disappointed that he can't understand this written language. Whatever is it, it's nothing like Runic.
Salmook has to admit, he is a little on edge himself. But that's what exploring is all about, isn't it?
Daphne picks up one of the papers on a table. What in the… What is all this stuff? She tilts her head as she reads the paper, then yelps and drops the paper as someone grabs her by the shoulders.
“What the hell are you doing?” It’s the man from the day before. He turns Daphne around and grabs the collar of her shirt, glaring at her. Daphne freezes on the spot, staring at him with a look of terror. “I- uh-“
