Tseth moves to one of the doors and opens it. It’s just the way he left it. Well, almost. The bed wasn’t completely made, he’d fix that later. And the pair of given clothes was still folded and untouched on the table. But there was also a plate of food on the table next to the clothes, just as Lucas said. He enters the room and picks it up, staring at it for a second. How did they get this?
Salmook follows Tseth-friend into his room. He didn't close the door on Salmook, so Salmook doesn't close the door, either.
Tseth-friend's room looks just like his, although it's a lot less… destroyed.
For a moment Salmook's eyes lock onto Tseth-friend's plate. He forces himself to look away, and he stops himself from acting on his instinct to steal. That's Tseth-friend's food! Don't touch it!
Easier said than done. Salmook can smell whatever it is, and it's making his mouth water. Salmook just ate! That's Tseth-friend's!
Salmook pretends to be interested in his cloak instead, fluffing it up and pulling on the dirt-knots in the cloak's fur.
Daphne only finishes about half of her food, then stands up and puts the plate back on the table. Well, at least I ate something. That probably counts. She sighs and walks out of her room, then crosses her arms and leans against the wall again. She starts staring at the opposite wall.
Tseth looks back down at Salmook. “Well, this is my room. Not much to do so you can probably leave-”
Salmook shakes his head at that.
"Salmook with Tseth-friend now! What friends do?"
He takes a moment to think about it. What do friends do? It's been a while since he's had one.
"Friend talk? Yeah. We talk! Uh, how was day? Before jabby-people take us?"
(wHEEZE-)
(don't question it)
Tseth sighs and sits down on the bed, thinking. His day before he was taken?
"It was fine, I suppose. Didn't go the way I was planning, heh-" That was an understatement. And everyone was acting weird around him. People would ignore him or avoid questions…
"How was yours?"
Salmook's settles down in a corner, trying his hardest to not seem interested in Tseth-friend's food.
"Salmook-day? Salmook day was weird. Me see a big, big, big, monster, and it see Salmook! But it not hurt Salmook? Weird! And, Salmook eat his favorite mushrooms, and they give him belly-hurt. They never give him belly-hurt!"
He stretches out a little, yawning. Eating that much food so fast is making him lethargic. He pulls his cloak closer, using it as a makeshift blanket.
Tseth picks at his food as he listens to Salmook. “…Interesting.” He takes a couple bites of his food. It tastes… exactly how it does where he’s had it before. And it was good, but he wasn’t all that interested in eating it.
(bitch you better eat it)
(the living garbage disposal is taking notes of this)
(you can’t make Daphne eat and then not eat anything that’s not how this works bitch)
Salmook catches himself staring at Tseth-friend again, or rather, the plate of food in his hands.
Salmook isn't hungry, more just… greedy. But it's for a good reason! It's instinct!
He huffs at himself. Maybe Tseth-friend would like to save the food for later? Yeah, that would make sense. So stop staring at it!
"Me wonder how the jabby-people get us here… One beat Salmook in forest, and then next beat, Salmook here!"
Tseth looks at Salmook for a couple moments. He keeps staring at my food even though he just ate. Eh, he’s a kid. “I don’t know. I was in the Wastelands, and then just like you I ended up in this room.”
He eats a bit more of his food, glancing at Salmook. He would’ve preferred to eat it alone, but he has a feeling if he tried to kick Salmook out he wouldn’t appreciate it that much.
(Honestly bestie that’s a mood)
(What do you do when a feral child is staring at you as you eat)
Salmook shudders.
"Oohh… Scary. What about Daph-friend? Where she before take us?"
He looks up and around the room. Actually… where is Daph-friend? The door's still open a bit, and Salmook steps over to it and peeks out.
"Where she go? Me think she eated already."
