A god helps where he can.” Lovino states “that being said do you need any help?”
A god helps where he can.” Lovino states “that being said do you need any help?”
Hearing a voice directed towards them, Mylnorr lifted his head. His arms remained resting against the back of the booth. He kept a calm expression, body relaxed unlike earlier. The girl had asked what about the 'voices'. He raised an eyebrow slightly.
~Some people…~ Kirdairn hissed softly.
"I'm not sure 'voices' is the right term, maybe it is, whatever…anyways, there's 3 of us altogether. Mylnorr, my name, Faraneer, and then Kirdairn, whom you met earlier in the worst way possible…"
The male moved a hand, running it through his hair, "I'm what you would consider to be the eldest of my brother heads."
Eberaus twitched slightly. He had been laid flat on what seemed to be another booth seat, since the seat were a bit longer and more roomy. Slowly his eyes opened, barely a glow appearing. The world around was fuzzy, out of focus. The scents were all a jumbled mess, as well as his mind. He was trying to put the pieces together, but nothing wanted to fit.
So he simply remained laying in place. His tail was limp, hanging off the edge. The tufts that had once been feathers along his tail seemed to twitch slightly, as if trying to find life again.
Growling darkly Aaron shifted his gaze away from the hydra, glaring in the direction of the kitchen. It was what he wanted, but he didn't appreciate that someone could know his thoughts. Try to find anything out about me by going through my head and I'll personally make sure to get Kirdairn angry enough to pick a fight. He thought threateningly, just in case Nysaxiope was still using her magic. If she wanted to know something about him she could ask, he felt much better having a choice to answer. He wouldn't just brush it off if she tried magic, and he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep himself calm. Looking to his hands he balled them into fists to control the magic flickering around his fingers, listening to Nykidia's and Mylnorr's conversation.
"Sure, Lovino, brings these out." Nysaxiope said, handing the dishes to him. "Then I can yell at more people." She floated out behind Lovino to the dining area.
Lovino walked out with the dishes “you food.” He says setting them down on the tables.
"Homemade by me with fresh seafood." Nys said, putting her hand on her hip. "Enjoy. I know it's exactly what you wanted."
"Sorry. I shouldn't of called you guys that." Nykidia apologized. Nykidia looked at Eberaus. She got up, still stumbling a bit, and walked over to him. "Eberaus. Are you OK?" She asked him.
Gtg bed sorry.)
(Wot I guess you should make Lovino leave.)
Ya can go and get more coffee by the looks of it she’s gonna need it)
(Mmmmmm sure)
(Lol. So Nysaxiope is just going to deal with this group using caffeine?)
Aaron huffed with a cross expression. A part of him wanted to be defiant towards the siren, but he hadn't eaten in a while. By that meaning a day or so… Still he decided to see how long he had to wait for Nysaxiope to get annoyed. Meanwhile he looked to Eberaus as Nykidia stumbled over to him, silently watching the group as he waited to see if the siren reacted.
(So is Aaron just not eating his food?)
(He's seeing how annoyed Nysaxiope will get if he doesn't eat. Though he is hungry so he'll eat eventually. Told you he likes being difficult when someone puts him in a bad mood. lol)
Nysaxiope sipped her mocha and floated over to the dragon. "Hey, are you alive? That was a pretty rough fight wasn't it? Once you eat we'll be talking all about it." She said, still with annoyance in her voice.
Mylnorr simply shrugged at the girl's apology. Instead, his eyes shifted as that other male from earlier appeared, carrying a tray of food. As it was set before him, he raised his eyebrow.
~I-Isn't that…clam chowder~.
~What's the catch? I don't trust it, probably trying to poison us fishy is~ Kirdairn's voice snarled.
"Not everything is a trap," Mylnorr muttered, "Though it is a bit strange that we would be served this when only Nirvana knows we love this stuff…"
~I will enjoy the chance I get to…~
"Be silent Kirdairn, least let Faraneer and myself enjoy this."
~Not like I have a choice right now~ Kirdairn growled ~I wouldn't touch the stuff~.
Eberaus released a groan. He felt a presence grow closer, as well as the sound of footsteps drawing near. His eyes started to at least focus on the world around him. Though as he suddenly saw the ceiling, natural instincts followed by a wave of panic. The male tried to leap up and make a dash for the nearest exit…to only run right smack into a window. Now, one had to remember, Eberaus had no clue about anything in this world…including windows…
Sure, there were windows in castles and kingdoms in his world, but he didn't know that since he knew little to nothing about humans and their ways. Only thing he knew was that they were dangerous and a threat.
The dragon sat up on the floor where he had fell after running full force into the glass. He rubbed his head, growling softly. The tufts of feathers along his tail were vibrating in a maddened frenzy. The glow seemed to return to his eyes, pupils narrowing into thin slits.
"Ow…goddamn't…first I get literally wiped across the floor, find myself in a human building, and then run into some weird…wall…can't I just go crawl in my cave and sleep…be an improvement compared to this…hell, I'd settle for that little shit Gormag coming to annoy the hell out of me…"
Nykidia jumped back as Eberaus ran himself into a window. She walked over to him. "Hey. You OK, don't worry." She said crouching down next to him. "You need to rest. You got pretty banged up in that fight out there." Nykidia said as she tried to help the dragon up.
"Okay, one, this building isn't a human building, its design is just human-inspired, as most buildings are. It's a Siren building. And that's a window. And you can sleep once you eat-" Nys shoved the plate of salted salmon with a fork and knife in his face, "-and explain fully what happened." she turned, eyes fixed on Aaron. "That goes for everyone. You're being given food from my restaurant for free. Eat it."
(Updated my previous post so Nys could be a little angry at Aaron again)
"It's just a window. Plus I can help, so I'll eat after." Aaron pointed out, sounding somewhat snappish. Shifting Aaron circled the dragon, seeing if there was any more severe injuries. Not seeing anything other than maybe the feathers he nudged the dragon, pushing Eberaus to let Nykidia help him to a seat. He circled again to see if he could do anything else, wondering when the last was he helped this much with his magic. He blinked to pull himself from any memory lane that could have become, cracking his neck before looking at the others. He was starving at this point, and decided to stop being stubborn as shifted back and sat down to eat.
"That's what I thought." Nysaxiope said as Aaron sat down to eat. Instead of normally graceful swishes of her tail as she moved, they were hard and choppy.
He growled, just because Aaron listened didn't mean he had to be nice about it. Though it was still probably an improvement in his attitude as he quieted to take a bite of his burger. It was good, especially being the first thing he'd had recently. I guess it's nice she made what I wanted. He thought, not as annoyed now that he had some food. He looked to Nysaxiope as he ate, listening for anything she or the group had to say. Time to have a siren get angry at all of them over the fight.
(LOUD GASP It's my time to shine. In a minute because I'm working on a social studies project)
"Okay is everybody listening?" She looked around the room, using a curious voice. Her voice then hardened to strong anger immediately. "Good. Because I'm going to give it to you straight, no matter how queer I am. (ooc: I had to c'mon) I am a person who moved here to start her business, and get away from her old life. I struggled, with the meager things I had, compared to the budget I needed. I eventually found this place, which took a meerde ton of time, considering what I was looking for. I wanted it to be unique. To not be the same as everyone else, because where I came from in Mertis, it was hard to show that I truly was different than everybody. After weeks of prep, I finally had the restaurant complete and a few employees to work here." She swung her hand to gesture at the help wanted sign on the window. "I'm still underemployed! And I feel terrible at how little my employees are paid, but it's all I can afford. And despite this being a popular street, people still have their doubts about a brand new restaurant. I'm lucky if I get ten customers a day. And to see Lovino coming everyday is pretty much what keeps me moving, knowing someone still appreciates my existence, because I'm sure not to get appreciated by my parents, or siblings or anyone in all of Mertis!" she shouted. She new she was getting too deep into her past and stopped there on the subject of her family. "And you," she waved her hand in disgust at everyone in the room. "You appear in front of my store front, relatively unprovoked, and start beating each other to death! There is multiple shops on this street, but of course it's in front of mine! Did I mention this is a popular street? At the very least 30 people saw you!" She was full on screaming at them, but still in a voice so they could understand her words. She had slammed her hands on the table with a loud bang. "They're all going to all relate your actions to my establishment, and my customers will be gone before I know it. They'll have all left the shop behind thinking 'oh, what a loser. A silly little fishy tried to start her own business. She should just flop her pretty little face back to the sea.' And they'd be right. I would go broke, and have nothing left to do except-" she choked, "-return to Mertis." her voice quieted as she sat down, head down so they couldn't see the tears starting to form in her eyes, and hugged her tail to her chest. "I can't go back there. I can't go back. I can't go back. I can't go back." She was rocking in her chair, and looked up, eyes empty and broken and filled to the brim with tears that started to stream down her face, like in the place of normally rushing water was an uncomfortable stillness, and her voice was almost a whisper when she said, "What will they do to me?"
Nykidia walked over to Nysaxiope and hugged her. "Shhhh. It's OK. Your OK. I understand." She said holding a rocking Nysaxiope.
