Kirdairn nearly snapped as Eurn came out of nowhere. His lips instantly curled up to show his fangs. The hydra was getting ready to snarl something, but was cut short as he turned his head, coughing. His red eyes barely held a hint of his usual agitated demeanor. The male simply pushed the plate back to the naga, his voice a low growl.
"Wrong person idiot. Faraneer is still being a lazy ass and asleep."
His eyes shifted back to Aaron. Kirdairn gave a nod, followed by a huff. His feet then carried him through the hall, then towards the door. It was here, the hydra stopped. He turned, leaning his back against the wall. Kirdairn leaned his head back, staring blankly at the ceiling. He felt as if his eyelids were growing heavy, slowly closing, but then forcing them open again.
"Damn't Faraneer," he growled softly under his breath, "Get up already."
Though his words fell on silence. Both Faraneer and Mylnorr were dead asleep. Least Mylnorr had an excuse, being sick just like Kirdairn. Here Kirdairn thought he had the worst of it.
Aaron paused, nodding in acknowledgement to Nysaxiope. He looked to Corru wanting to say something only to see the ghost wasn't by the wall anymore, jumping as the ginger reappeared besides him. "Those two read between the lines too much, trying to find meaning behind words where there was nothing to find. I wouldn't say anything to get them angry, they're both a pain already without doing that." Corru defended, his voice an unhappy huff. Aaron sighed, believing Corru, knowing the ginger was difficult. "Alright, just please… Try to tolerate them, just a bit?" Aaron asked, getting a grudging mumble of agreement from Corru. Aaron wasn't going to listen to him if he didn't get his way sometimes, and might as well rest before he asked they leave again.
Aaron wondered if Eurn was still in the backroom with Lunos, but remembered to focus on trying to help the hydra. "Kirdiarn? Why don't you come to the kitchen with me? Nykidia and Night are going to have to help you. Corru will stay here so he doesn't upset them." Aaron called, the last bit directed at the ghost, before glancing at Nysaxiope and leaving for the kitchen. He just poked his head through the door, wanting to make sure he didn't surprise them or interrupt anything first.
Night had curled around Nykidia. Her wisp around Nykidia's waist, as usual, with her arms hanging over Nykidia shoulders. "I don't like him." Night grumbled to Nykidia. "I know." Nykidia said with a sigh. "But he's with Aaron and I can't just turn him away because he has a slightly annoying body partner. What if Ava turned me away because she didn't like you?" She asked Night. Night grumbled but didn't say anything else.
Lunos silently stood up, trying to find the door that leads outside. It was too warms in here for him, it wasn't really the heat of the fire but the body heat of the others around him. I wonder if I can actually find Charlie is this mess of a city, hah. Probably not, but a Fae can hope. He thought cynically, his entire reason for coming to the fucked up city was because it was the last place Charlie had been seen, so… This is where Lunos ended up, surrounded by people he didn't know and honestly, didn't like a few of them. The ones who asked the many questions, he didn't like questions. Questions are the thing that got me kicked out, but look on the bright side, at least I can look for him without my family on my ass. Oh who am I kidding, the twins are trying to kill me now and so is father.
Once Nysaxiope had finished her breakfast she sighed. "I have to head back to the restaurant, which means my parents will probably be there. Does anyone want to join me?"
"Oh, yeah I can see the differences. I'm very sorry, though you should still eat something… I think I'm just going to go now." Eurn awkwardly backed off and into the kitchen, then coiled up next to Nykidia and ate. He turned and nodded at Nysaxiope and asked "Sure, I need to leave anyways, though could you tell me why it's a problem that your parents are there? I think I might have missed something." Having your parents come see you sounds wonderful honestly. Something awful must have happened, he thought silently to himself.
Staying quiet for a moment Aaron stepped fully into the kitchen, Corru staying in the dining room sitting against the wall again. He knew they didn't like Corru, but he hadn't thought that would even spark the idea of turning him away. Snapping out of his thoughts as Nysaxiope asked a question from the dining room he paused before looking to Nykidia. "I'll probably go…. Though Kirdairn needs directions and Nysaxiope said you'd have to help him." He told the red head. He crossed his arms loosely as he talked, starting to feel uncomfortable thinking he wasn't completely welcome now that Corru was here. He looked over at Eurn as the naga asked about Nysaxiope's parents, yet he kept his mouth shut and simply observed to see what response the siren gave. He didn't want to join a conversation about something he already understood. Experiences with others don't always turn out the best, and family doesn't have any exceptions to that fact.
Nysaxiope shrugged. "Oh, it's nothing. They just want me dead," she said. IT IS THE OPPOSITE OF NOTHING I'M FREAKING OUT I DON'T WANT TO DIE I DON'T WANT TO DIE IDONTWANTTODIEIDONTWANTTODIE, her head screamed at her. In response, she took a shaky breath. "Anyone who wants to join can. I'm sure that you'd be extremely pleased to meet Naurith and Themiriope," Nys joked.
Nykidia jumped slightly when Aarons stepped into the room. "Oh! Hey Aaron!" She said turning to him. "What''s up?"
Yep. Because meeting parents that want their daughter dead is totally a pleasant experience. Aaron thought sarcastically. He didn't like those sirens the first time he met them, he was pretty sure he'd never even get close to trying to understand them after that encounter. Yet he still didn't jump in the conversation, wanting no part of it. "I might come!" He called, but that was all before he looked back to Nykidia. Aaron frowned at the fact Nykidia hadn't even paid attention to what he said, "I'm probably going to follow Nysaxiope, and Kirdairn needs your help for directions." He repeated. Meanwhile Corru had disappeared for now, but that didn't mean he wasn't listening. Unless he was completely dormant Aaron could never tell if Corru was just observing without being seen or actually gone.
Kirdairn gave an annoyed sigh. All this trouble for some directions? Who could've thought…
The male watched Aaron slip back into the kitchen area, then suddenly poke his head out, calling to him. Almost instantly, Kirdairn's mind went to possible 'trap'. As much as he disliked everyone here, though no one here really did anything very serious to deserve his hatred, Kirdairn couldn't ignore the fact that these people had indeed left him and his brother heads alone as they had slept during the night.
The hydra mumbled something under his breath, then took hesitant steps forward. His boots seemed to echo softly against the floor. His dull red eyes looked around, forked tongue slipping past his lips, testing the air. Kirdairn's pupils were slightly round, but remained mostly slits. His gaze shifted downwards towards Nykidia as she greeted Aaron.
"Um…yea…just point me the hell outta here so I can get going."
That was probably going to be as 'polite' as Kirdairn was going to be. Well, at least it wasn't entirely rude. Mean, he could've either beat her till she told him, which let's face it, wouldn't go well for him, or added a few colorful 'names'.
"Tthhat wass a llitthhlle more tthhan whath I wass expecthing, tthhough tthhath doess noth change my ansswer," Eurn relpied before he got up and began heading to the fireplace. He expected at least some confrontation, and that did not go well with sluggishness or slow movement at all. He turned to Kirdairn and said "I can sshhow you tthhe door" and opened the entrance to the main casino/bar "by tthhe way, ssorry for getthhing your name wrong" he added, slightly embarrassed. When the hydra was in the main lobby he began to start the fire again for some little temporary warmth before going into the gigantic blizzard happening outside.
Aaron stared off in thought, yet tried to focus on his surroundings. He wasn't sure how welcome he was now and the fact the more snappish of the hydra brothers was here didn't make it any easier to relax. "What if… We met at Nys Fish so it's probably a halfway point to your place…" Aaron started thinking aloud, taking another moment before he lifted his gaze to Nykidia and Kirdairn, "Why don't we just follow Nysaxiope to Nys Fish and Nykidia can tell you where to go from there if you can't retrace your steps?" He suggested. That seemed like the easiest plan considering everyone would probably be leaving at some point anyways.
(Also, I kinda wanna read back on the old Altir so this post is just so I can find it easier. ._.)
