"Great! I don't really want to go through everyone's minds to see what they want, so just tell me or else you're getting cereal," Nysaxiope instructed. She stood up (floated up, technically) and began to head towards where Flyn pointed.
Despite it probably not being the best idea, as well as now the others would have to deal with a sick and irritable Kirdairn, it was his turn to take watch. It was early morning when he took over, watching the room which they were staying. As eyes laid upon him, it was clear of the hydra's change.
Unlike Faraneer's appearance, Kirdairn had shorter hair, as well as his eyes were instead bright red instead of the calmer purple hues of both his brother heads eyes. Probably the most distinct appearance that told this head apart from the others was the pale, jagged scar running down the left side of his face, which hadn't been apparent at all before on Mylnorr or Faraneer when they were in control of their single, human form.
Kirdairn currently sat hunched up by the once blazing fireplace. His eyes were partially closed, having an air about him that seemed to warn others. Despite him being sick, it was still best to avoid a confrontation unless absolutely necessary.
Aaron cracked his neck, a frown on his muzzle at Nysaxiope's question. "I don't want anything." He told her. He didn't want to take anything else that'd make him feel in debt to everyone after going between being saved and saving others yesterday, even if it was something as small as food. As she went to the kitchen he questioned if he should wake the others up, flicking his ear at Flyn's comment. Turning into a fox would make him a shape-shifter, making him wonder if that's what everyone thought he was, his abilities with foxfire and being a multi-tailed fox turning into a human made him a kitsune.
Pushing away the thought curiosity drove him to follow Nysaxiope. Trailing the siren he left the others to laugh over what Flyn brought up, flinching as Corru grabbed the scruff of his neck and stopped him. "What are you doing? We should be leaving soon." The freckled ginger growled. "I just wanted to see what Nysaxiope was doing." Aaron replied quietly. Surprising him Corru let go, and hesitantly Aaron went into the kitchen with Corru on his heels. Seeing Nysaxiope he wandered the kitchen, looking around since she wasn't cooking. Not used to everything being so calm Aaron felt on edge rather than relaxed, not looking around long before wandering back to where Nysaxiope was not knowing what to do.
"I said I'd give everyone cereal but I'm not really that bad," she mumbled, pulling eggs, cheese, and ham slices out of the fridge. She raised an eyebrow at Aaron but didn't question it. Placing a pan over the stove and turning it on, Nysaxiope considered what would happen that day. Will I have to see… my parents? she shook her head and went back to cooking. She cracked two eggs onto the pan and shook it, spreading them out. She left it and cut up the ham slices into smaller bits and okay this is boring she's making omelets with cheese and ham.
"Erm… I should go, shouldn't I…" Lunos muttered to himself, slinging his bag over his shoulder. Yeah, why am I here again? I don't even know anybody's name… Did they tell me their names? Did I tell them my name? He thought, basically having a quarter-life crisis.
Eurn tasted the smell of the omelets and slowly began to rise. He slowly uncoiled from his sleeping position with a groan, a whack on the couch, and finally managed to rise to see what was going on in the room about a minute later. Before venturing out to find the food smell he surveyed the mass of chaos around him to find an early riser to explain if anything was planned already. He managed to make his way to Nykidia and with a groan say "How can you wake up wellll? I jussth woke up a minuthe ago and you're allready having fun, iss tthhere anytthhing new going on or should I jussth go tho food?" He then began to stare at Night like she's a crazy person for nearly dying of laughter at this hour.
Nykidia looked at Erun. "Good morning, Erun! To be honest I didn't wake up well. I woke up to Aaron being dropped on me by Corru." She explained. Night wiped a gray tear off her face. "That…was… the best thing…ever!" Night panted.
Aaron tried walking around the kitchen again, hearing chatter in the other room. He stuck his nose in a few cabinets, sneezing after shoving his face in an empty and dusty one, but once again found himself pacing before eventually coming back to where Nysaxiope was. "Can I help? I don't know how I could… but is there anything I can do?" Aaron asked Nysaxiope, though his tone sounded uncertain. He wanted to do something besides wander around all morning, but he didn't know if the siren needed any help. He supposed if there was nothing he could go have small talk with the others, but he wasn't very good with small talk.
Corru caught Aaron glancing at him, muttering to himself knowing the fox was probably trying to avoid leaving. He felt annoyance rise at the thought of Aaron stalling, knowing the kitsune knew they had a plan he was avoiding, but stayed quiet as his gaze shifted occasionally. He'd give Aaron time to leave on his own so long as it seemed he actually intended on leaving at some point.
Nysaxiope glanced at Aaron again. He was walking around weirdly. "Well… you could find plates and utensils. Maybe grab ketchup and salt to put out for those who want it." She wanted to look in his brain to see what was wrong, but she also wanted to try and respect him, so she did nothing. "Hey, is something wrong?"
Eurn gave Nykidia a blank look then said in a flat voice "Okay, I'llll assk for tthhe ssthory llather, I'm going tho eath." He quickly darted to the kitchen entrance to see who was cooking what, ignoring Corru because it was way too early for dealing with him, and found Nysaxiope in the kitchen with a small fox like creature. He blinked at it, tried to reach into his hazy memory about why a small, thr- two tailed furry animal is in here. He finally Blinked into focus and asked "Are you a friend of Aaron?" He had an unfocused, wondering look in his eyes… that is until he was reminded about how hungry he was and turned to Nysaxiope "Could I have some of that? or should I make something myself?"
(It's so late for me rn…. I should sleep so I don't take a nap in the middle of lessons tomorrow.)
Aaron tilted his head as Eurn asked if he was a friend of… Aaron? It took a moment to click that Eurn didn't know he was Aaron and simply thought he was some random fox. Without saying anything Aaron shifted into his human form again and started looking for what Nysaxiope asked for as Eurn started talking to the siren. Getting the ketchup he shut the fridge and grabbed the salt sitting on the counter, setting them down as he began going through the cupboards and drawers trying to find plates and utensils. He opened his mouth as if to say something. He wanted to question Nysaxiope on why she didn't just go through his thoughts like she had earlier, maybe tell her the reason he was wary, but shut his mouth as he found what he was looking for. "I'm fine." He said finally, turning to the two with the plates, "Someone should probably tell the others whenever the food is ready. Where do I put this stuff?" Corru scoffed at him mentioning the others, sending a glare as if a silent warning. Aaron avoided his gaze, already knowing what he would probably say.
"Eurn, I'll make the food for everyone, go and sit down. Aaron, just set the plates down in a row on the counter. I'll need to put the omelets onto each place. Put the ketchup, salt and utensils on a table," Nysaxiope instructed. She sighed. "Aaron I'm not looking in your mind because I can tell you don't want me to, and in the one day we've known each other we've got mad at each other enough."
(Oh jeez! Now I'm imagining him trying to sit on a chair, it doesn't seem fun)
Do what Nys does. Just gotta make ur tail go forwards))
Eurn turned to the newly transformed Aaron and exclaimed "Ssso tthhath's why you ssmellll tthhe way you do! I wass wondering abouth tthhath buth didn'th wanth to assk, sseeing as you didn'th llike me prying llassth thime." His awareness already spiked massively as he began to think clearer, so he turned to Nysaxiope and asked "Oh, sso you can read mindss? Neath, tthhough can alll ssirenss do tthhath? Oh, tthhank you for tthhe food! I'm acthualllly a therriblle cook, sso you are ssaving me from myssellf." After hearing the fish lady's reply, he quickly left the cooking area of the kitchen after hearing to find the well hidden table, leaving the rest of the people there alone.
Pausing at Eurn's words Aaron was a bit confused, but didn't show it, as to why he even thought to smell his scent. Maybe it was just him, but he only used scent when he couldn't tell what his surroundings were. Nevertheless he started to put the plates in a row, hoping he'd counted right, as the others talked. Though as Eurn left he stopped at Nysaxiope's sigh. "Just keep on not using your magic on me then. They're my thoughts and memories, I want them to stay mine. No one else knowing the good or the bad unless I tell them." He said, his voice quieter than usual. Grabbing the utensils and other items, besides the plates, Aaron turned to face Nysaxiope for a moment, "I agree we've gotten angry enough at each other already." At that he went over to the table and set everything up, most likely messing up how the utensils were placed, before walking back to the door in the kitchen and leaning against the door frame. "Do you guys want to come to the table now, or wait here?" He asked everyone in the back room.
"Coming!" Nykidia yelled as she helped Night off the ground. Night wrapped around Nykidia. Nykidia walked into the kitchen and started getting plates and silverware out. Night grabbed glasses for everyone. They went and set the table.
Kirdairn's eyes had slowly started to close. Something which he probably would not have done if he were in prime condition. Though what with the sickness, it clearly gave him some impairment. Even when the clang of silverware and moving forms echoed around, he didn't seem to stir from it. The most he did was release a growl now and then if he felt someone draw too close to him.
Finally, his eyes opened all the way. The once bright glowing red was dull, having little to no life. His brother heads were both dead asleep, neither one stirring. Slowly, a forked tongue slipped past his lips, lingering in the air for a couple moments, before he drew it back into his mouth.
"So much damn noise…never had this much trouble in the swamps…"
His head turned as Aaron suddenly appeared at the door way leading to who knew where. There was almost a spark of life in the red glow of his gaze. The male's pupils were thin slits, glaring all around. The food he scented was unappetizing, well, to him that is. His other heads, mainly Faraneer, probably would've perked up at the scent. However, he was asleep, leaving Kirdairn in charge.
"Probably made sure to poison it fishy did," he growled under his breath, "Damn't…I hate being left to watch in places like this…too crowded, no room to transform if a threat presents itself…"
(Back on my phone since my charger is being weird again. Sorry if my replies are slow.)
Aaron’s gaze flicked over to the hydra as Nykidia and Night passed him, trying to guess who was in control seeing the hydra’s now red eyes. Looking between him and Lunos Aaron took a moment before deciding to leave them be and go to the others, glancing at them before saying one last comment. “Come when ever you want.” He said.
Aaron turned to head back to the others. Though before he could take more than a few steps Corru stepped in Aaron’s way to block him, narrowing his eyes as he seemed to catch on to how much nicer and patient Aaron was trying to be. “It’s not your job to be friends with them. Remember that we have things to do that won’t get done staying here.” The ginger told Aaron. Getting no agreement from Aaron his eyes stayed narrowed, but backed off noting he hadn’t gotten any disagreement either. Shifting his feet Aaron went to the table area and sat down, Corru nearby as he sat against the wall to avoid the others.
Corru honestly pls delete yourself from existense
Commit toaster bath plz))
(Don't mind me. Just bumping this for now so it's not buried.)
As Night was helping the others set the table, Nykidia walked over to Corru. "Your welcome to eat with us if you want…err…that is, if you can eat." Nykidia offered, rubbing the back of her neck. Night saw Nykidia trying to talk to Corru. She gave Corru a glare that said 'Touch her and I will tear you apart limb for limb.'" She saw the way that he treated Aaron. If he so touches Nykidia she will rip his head off.
Corru is most certainly fucking not welcome to eat but I don't have a say because Nys doesn't hate him as much as I do))
(So much hate on Corru, lol)
Lifting his gaze from simply staring into space in thought Corru looked at Nykidia as she spoke, his expression indifferent as if he didn't really care that she was even offering. "I can't eat, unless I take control from Aaron that is. So I'll skip eating." He gave Nykidia a small grin though, recognizing gaining Nykidia's trust would help him as far as dealing with Night went. "Thanks for offering, but I'll just stay here." Glancing at Night briefly he saw the shade glaring. His grin didn't falter at the threat that seemed to be given, if anything it kept the fake kind reply from faltering knowing it might be helping him as well as getting on the shade's nerves.
Aaron was quiet, his gaze drifting across the area to take in all the details. Pulled from his thoughts by the sound of talking he looked to the source of sound, glad to see at least Nykidia was getting along with Corru. That reminded him of Eurn, and he turned his head towards him. "Thanks for helping break up that little scuffle last night." He thanked Eurn, his eyes then flicking over to Night. His smile dropped at seeing the shade glaring, knowing it was hard to get on her good side. "Why did you have everyone going against Corru anyways, Night? He wasn't hurting anyone, just annoyed." He asked her. Even if she had her reasons to dislike Corru he didn't understand why she decided to start a fight when everyone had finally started to relax.
Pulling a large plate from a cupboard, Nysaxiope flipped multiple omelets onto it before picking it up and placing it in the middle of the table that had been set up. "That should be enough for everybody. Help yourselves," She announced.
