(Exactly. I just wasn't expecting my first try writing Corru to actually get him hated. I feel like you'd have Corru as your mortal enemy if he was real.) (D-mnit. The ugandan knuckles song is being played by my Spotify again.)
Eurn gave a jaunty nod to Aaron as he replied with "No probllem! I find tthhath'ss ith'ss eassier tho jussth break up tthhe fight tthhan tho lleth sssomeone win if you can!" He returned to studying the chair, wondering if he actually could sit down it. He finally settled with wrapping his entire lower body around two chairs, one he was actually sitting down on, one he was saving for another person.
(Posting because we gotta get the others to the group.)
Sighing when he got no answer from Night he stood up. She wasn’t talking and Eurn seemed to be waiting for someone, so he’d leave them to eat. He meant it when he told Nysaxiope he didn’t want anything, he didn’t take anything unless he really needed it. Instead he decided to go get Lunos and the hydra, as neither had come yet.
Mumbling what he was doing Aaron walked off to the backroom, Corru’s gaze following him for a moment before looking back to Nykidia. Aaron went up to Lunos, not really looking forward the dealing with the hydra after. “Are you going to come? Nysaxiope made some food.” He offered. He paused, thinking of his response yesterday when he tripped. “… Nykidia could also help you if you’re lost, since it didn’t seem like you were trying to come here.” He added.
Nysaxiope glanced at Corru before floating up to him. "So how does this thing work, with you and Aaron?" she asked. She was genuinely curious, and she knew she could just look in their minds, but it was pretty early in the morning and thoughts can get jumbled easily. Corru definitely hadn't made the best first impression, but she would at least attempt to try to understand him and here what he's like before coming to hard conclusions.
(Time for more of the incredibly hated Corru)
Aaron silently wondered if he even should have come to ask. The fae had no reason to trust him, nor listen, and Corru wouldn't be the nicest with more people around. Meanwhile Corru in the table area wasn't sure why and slightly annoyed Nykidia and now the siren were talking to him when he tried to sit away from the group. He didn't even know how much Aaron wanted them to know, not that he cared much. If Aaron didn't want to be questioned he could just leave.
"It's like I said last night. Aaron wouldn't be alive without me, as in he would still be dead. He's a lot more clueless than I am on some things, and I could easily find someone else looking for a second chance-" He stopped, realizing that wasn't the best wording. "What I'm trying to say is I'm helping him when I don't have to. Our souls are linked, which keeps Aaron alive, but because of the magic we have either of us can break the link at any time. If he would just listen neither of us would need it." The ginger's voice became a growl at the end, his facade faltering to show annoyance. Aaron made things so difficult, at times like this it almost seemed like it'd be easier to just find someone else to follow the plan. Yet he grinned again, giving the simplest sum he could of how the link worked. "Anyways… I can take control sometimes and we can both use what ever type of magic the other has, but he has to be careful in managing his magic and I can't go too far away from him without restrictions to what I'm able to do."
Nykidia froze at these words. She hadn't seen Corru do much since Night had been in control. She stood there frozen, trying to prosses what he just said. "The way you said that made if sound like you think Aaron is indebted to you." She said slowly. Night noticed Nykidia freezing and worked her way towards.
(Corru better choose his next words wisely~!)
Lunos snapped out of his little world in his mind. "I am so sorry, I should be leaving now. I did not mean to intrude." Hee apologized, using his hand to psuh himself off the floor. If you were to look closely at the hand, you would notice thin spiderweb cracks running up it, almost like a cracking skating rink.
Nysaxiope cocked her head. "Why do you need to be linked?" She asked. She was going to try to figure this out without being hostile, as people seem to close up when you do.
Aaron was slow to react, processing the fact Lunos said he was leaving, before speaking again. "You weren't intruding. I was asking if you wanted to come eat." He paused, trying to think of the right words, "If staying when you were invited to come intruding I should have left a while ago." He looked at Lunos with green eyes that seemed to show he was thinking, his gaze trailing to the hand the fae used to push himself up. Curiosity and surprise sparked at seeing the cracks, not remembering many creatures that cracked rather than get cuts, and he stopped Lunos. "What happened to your hand, is it permanent or healable?" Realizing he wouldn't want to be questioned Aaron pulled away, not sure if the fae would be upset but his silence still a pause to let the question be answered or ignored.
Corru shifted his orange gaze to Nysaxiope, wondering why they had so many questions all of a sudden. "I already said why. The link keeps him alive, plus it let's me appear as a spirit and interact as much as my abilities allow me to. Without a link I don't think anyone would be alive after a cliff breaks under them." Noticing the last bit may have been a bit too much information he looked to Nykidia, answering her to change the topic. "I didn't say he's in debt to me, did I? I said I'm helping him when I don't have to. Besides, he can break the link at any time and he wouldn't need it if he would listen for once and stop stalling." He couldn't help but let a bit of anger bleed into his otherwise calm sounding tone. He wanted this conversation to be over, especially now that he noticed Night coming over. He didn't want to deal with her right now.
"I would usually say yes, out of courtesy, but the type of Fae that I am… Don't really eat. Well, we eat. But, only eat once in a while and it kind of freezes in our stomach… I'm not completely sure how to explain it." He said in response to the first statement the kitsune had made. "The hand is permanent. It just shows some stuff from my family." He answered in that awkward pause, however, his mind added something on it that he didn't speak aloud. Yeah, the family that didn't want you becuase your brother was the only thing keeping you out of their reach.
Kirdairn couldn't stand it anymore. His brother heads were still asleep, and he still felt ill and his hatred for being confined to this place was starting to show. The male stood up, his dull red eyes seemed to try and spark to life, but there was nothing. His forked tongue flicked out, testing the air. Kirdairn's lips twitched, fangs poking through. He stumbled a bit, but regained his balance. Now, to find a way out of this damn place.
The male's head shift slightly as he heard voices nearby. It was currently nothing to worry about, just fox boy with a fae. So long as neither made any sudden movements at him. Kirdairn returned his attention to the potential exits out of this building. He started forward, forked tongue flicking in and out now and then, finding and sorting scents to find the way out.
Nysaxiope rolled her eyes then motioned to how she was floating sarcastically. "Fairly sure I would be able to survive that," she said to Corru, "or literally anyone who can fly."
Aaron took a step back at the uncomfortable silence. It wasn't has place to make the fae stay, especially when he himself kept trying to leave. "I'm not really going to eat either, just talking. So if you change your mind…" He left the offer hanging. He didn't say anything else about the cracked hand, recognizing the vague reply was to avoid the topic. Family didn't always turn out the best, and most of the time you could do nothing against it. Aaron turned at the sound of stumbling footsteps, seeing the stubborn yet sick hydra trying to manage leaving on his own. "Do you really want to go out in the cold when you can barely walk? That's asking to freeze with you being sick and cold-blooded." He commented. If the hydra wanted to risk freezing the moment he was too sick to keep walking he could leave, but it was even dumber to do that without asking for directions or something else to keep warm
Corru let some annoyance show at Nysaxiope's comment. Everything else he said to answer her question and she decides to nit pick over that? "Clearly, but have you seen Aaron flying? Anyone as in anyone who can't fly, don't try correcting me on what should be obvious." He replied, his words a bit snappish. The siren was choosing sarcasm rather than realizing the actual information given, Aaron can't fly and couldn't have survived a fall from somewhere like that.
"Hm, maybe. I'm Lunos, by the way. I don't think I introduced myself." Lunos said with a small bow of the head, a customary Fae greeting. This man did not seem to wish harm upon him, so he would be respectful of the man.
Kirdairn was just getting to the door when a voice caused him to pause. The male seemed to give an irritable huff, slowly turning to face the other. Now in the light, the jagged scar across the left of his face was clearly seen. Kirdairn's lips twitched, fangs poking through, releasing a barely audible hiss. His dull red eyes seemed to spark again.
"I can walk just fine…freezing, that's what a damn jacket is for, not all of us are fortunate enough to have 'fur'."
The sarcasm practically dripped from his voice. The hydra may not have had fur, but scales had their own purposes. Their own made for withstanding humid swamps, and the waters running through swamplands. A dark, dank cave filled with a hoard of gathered treasures…
At the thoughts of home, Kirdairn's usual tense and agitated appearance slumped. He released an audible sigh, reaching back with a hand, rubbing the back of his head.
"What the fuck ever…just point me the hell out of this hole…need to go back home and make sure a friend is ok…alright?"
(Sorry for not posting for days)
Eurn fell off the chairs, partly because no one is coming and partly because he over-balanced. He pushed his way over to the food and grabbed a plate. He looked around the doorway at the people and noticed Corru, Nysaxiope, and Night arguing, which he wanted no part in. Though he did grab another plate with the most ham in it as he noticed the hydra trying to leave the room. He slithered over quickly and tried to deposit an omelette into his hands "You shoulld athleassth have sssome food before you llleave Faraneer!" Before waving to Aaron, completely oblivious to the fact he got the name wrong. (I wonder how this is gonna turn out.)
(It’s fine, I’m sorry I haven’t posted a reply yet! I’ve been a bit busy as well as giving time so no one is left behind in the RP.)
(It's totally okay! I appreciate you trying to make it so that people aren't swept away by a flurry of posts!)
(Thanks for understanding! Just bumping this for now so it's not buried.)
Night grabbed Nykidia and lead her into the kitchen. She didn't want Nykidia near Corru anymore. She hated Corru with burning passion right now. If he was human she would of killed him, but he's already dead. So now she has to deal with a rude ghost who was tied to a person the Nykidia liked. Needless to say, life was great.
Aaron felt his temper flare slightly at the sarcasm in the hydra's reply, the tone not helping the fact he already disliked the hydra. Eurn suddenly coming in was just enough to make Aaron pause and see Kirdiarn's posture slump as he started talking again. Aaron didn't snap as Kirdairn reluctantly asked for directions. Relaxing he realized the hydra was just rushing to check on someone, it was the same thing he'd do if he had somewhere to head back to. As Eurn started talking as he handed food to Kirdiarn, though he got the name wrong, Aaron looked at Lunos. "I don't think I introduced myself either with everything last night… I'm Aaron." He replied. He looked towards the dining area, realizing he'd have to ask Nykidia or Nysaxiope for help.
"Stay here or follow me if you want to talk with someone, or I guess leave if you want if you know where you're headed. I have to ask Nysaxiope or Nykidia if they can help Kirdiarn." Aaron didn't know how to get around the city, so he had to go to one of them since they lived here to get directions for the hydra. Walking off he paused in the doorway between the kitchen and dining area, cutting off what was a request for directions, and tilted his head noticing Nykidia and Night were in the kitchen while Nysaxiope was with Corru as he looked between the groups. "What did I miss?" He questioned, not asking any of them specifically. Corru didn't answer, seemingly waiting to see if Nysaxiope replied to whatever was said before he came in.
Nysaxiope raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, I'm with Night on this," she said, then shoved a finger at his chest. "Loosen up. I would go crazy if I was connected with someone like you." She then noticed Aaron and turned to him. "Hey. Is everyone awake now?" Nys asked, grateful to be talking to him rather than Corru.
A slight frown appeared on Aaron's face as he pieced together the group still wasn't getting along with Corru as the ginger scowled at the siren for telling him to loosen up. As Corru looked away Aaron took a moment to realize Nysaxiope was talking to him now. "Uh, I think. I mean, I just went out there to talk to them." If he remembered correctly everyone was awake, "Kirdiarn needs directions though, he has to go check on someone and I don't know the city. Maybe Lunos will too but I'm not sure." It had sounded like Lunos might stay, but before he could think on it much he remembered Nykidia and Night. He didn't know what could have been said to make them leave the room, generally Corru didn't say anything too harsh unless he was particularly angry. "Before one of you guys help Kirdiarn… I see you guys aren't getting along, but why are Nykidia and Night in the kitchen?"
Nysaxiope scowled. "They couldn't deal with your buddy over here. And I don't know my way around that well, also I can't stand Kirdairn so Nykidia should give him directions."
