Aliana jumped a little as Hatta let out a yelp. She hadn't been expecting it, but luckily she was fully dressed even if her hair was still a little wet from a shower. She peeked her head out from the bathroom, "Are you okay Hatta?"
Aliana jumped a little as Hatta let out a yelp. She hadn't been expecting it, but luckily she was fully dressed even if her hair was still a little wet from a shower. She peeked her head out from the bathroom, "Are you okay Hatta?"
Hatta looked up, and nodded. "I fell off the bed." he replied with a shrug, standing up and stretching. "I'm fine though." he picked up his clothes, and looked at them critically, as if he expected them to have changed since last night.
Aliana grabbed her backpack from the bathroom and brought it out into the main room figuring her hair could air dry. She sat down at the end of her bed still slightly shaken up from her nightmare, "That's good."
Hatta nodded. "Yup. I'm going to change." he went into the bathroom. He came back a few minutes later with his hair combed, and his clothes on, his pajamas slung over one arm.
Aliana was much calmer when he left and had completely packed up to the point where it hardly looked like Aliana had been there. She looked to Hatta, "How far do we need to make it today?"
Hatta put his pajamas in his hat, then put the hat on. "Well, that depends. The well only appears to one who wishes hard enough, and I'm afraid that my wishes are never hard enough."
"What does one have to wish for in order for the well to appear?" Aliana asked as she took a step towards the door.
"Something. Anything. It just has to be with all your heart." He replied. "Apparently, wishing not to be insane isn't strong enough." He went to the door, opening it up.
"Oh," Aliana said quietly as she stepped through holding onto the straps of her backpack, "Can I ask where the well is?"
Hatta shrugged his shoulders. "Nobody knows. It moves around. It's not part of Wonderland, but it's not part of the Looking Glass either."
(Gtg to bed. Good night!)
(Night!)
"Wonderful," Aliana responded with a slight sigh. This would be a pain, wouldn't it.
Hatta checked out with the front desk, then led her out of the hotel.
Aliana handed the key to the lady at the desk before hurrying out after Hatta. She bit her lip, "So will we just be wandering around wishing things?"
Hatta shrugged. "Like I said. With all your heart." He replied, adjusting his hat as he walked through the streets.
"Okay," Aliana thought for a moment as they walked, "I wish with all my heart that we would find this well."
"You say that, but…" Hatta shook his head. "Wishing for the well itself isn't enough. There has to be something you want with all your heart, and you concentrate on that. On being willing to do anything, just for that wish to come true."
"Fine," Aliana thought for a moment before carefully asking, "Have you ever wished for something other than not growing madder?"
"No. There's no point in it." Hatta replied, a little coldly, his hands shoved in his pockets again.
Aliana adjusted her backpack once more. She understood to drop the topic, "Yeah, so the wishing is left to me?"
He shrugged. "We can both wish. I just…I don't know if it'll work." He replied. He didn't seem quite as mad, quite as crazy, as he had been the day before.
"Thank you," Aliana gave him a little smile. She wasn't sure if she would be able to wish a well into existance, but felt better if Hatta was going to help, "For at least being willing to try."
Hatta shrugged. "Mm. I'll try. Can't guarantee anything will come out of it, though."
Aliana hummed as she walked trying to think of something she could wish for. Maybe for her nightmares to go away? No that wouldn't happen now or ever. It had to be something tangible, didn't it? She bit her lip, "What are you going to wish for this time?"
Hatta shrugged. "I don't know. Safety." he sighed quietly, shaking his head a little. "What about you?" he asked.
Aliana held herself as she shrugged, "I was thinking about wishing my nightmares away, but that's probably a stupid wish."
