"Now, we go to find the way to find the Vorpal sword to slay a monster!" Hatta replied with another strange laugh. And for me to lose my mind on the way.
"Now, we go to find the way to find the Vorpal sword to slay a monster!" Hatta replied with another strange laugh. And for me to lose my mind on the way.
"So we're leaving town?" Aliana sounded a little disappointment. She had hoped they could at least stay in town overnight, but it didn't seem to be like that.
"Yes. Unless you have something you want to do beforehand?" Hatta arched an eyebrow at her.
"I was maybe hoping we could, uh stay here overnight?" Aliana said almost bracing herself for a verbal or physical beating.
Hatta sighed. "Fine. But one night only. You got a hotel in mind?"
Aliana seemed to brighten up a little before shrinking back down, "Um, no? I've never been in this town before."
"Fine." Hatta started walking along the street again, humming to himself. "I'll find a place, then."
Aliana grinned a little as she kept up with him, "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Hatta replied. He stopped in front of a hotel, and led her in.
Aliana stepped inside with him and looked around. She had always camped when traveling since it was cheaper but had gotten hotels when possible and this place seemed decent to her at the very least.
Hatta walked straight to the check-in counter, and started talking with the person working the counter.
Aliana stood a bit behind him hiding her fruit in her hands and watching the interaction. She was very quiet, but if need be she would pay for her room.
Hatta handed over a hat, demonstrated what it did, then walked to her, two room keys in his hands. "Come along." He said.
Aliana opened her mouth a little and gave a nod, "Um, thank you Mr. Quinn."
"It's Hatta." Hatta replied easily, leading her to a room and opening it. "Two beds. One for me, one for you, unless you want to share."
"I would rather sleep by myself," Aliana responded quickly her cheeks heating at the idea of sleeping with someone. No matter what context, "But I appreciate the offer."
Hatta smirked, laughing softly. "Alright then." He replied. He handed her a key. "There are two keys to this room. Here's yours." He flopped down on a bed.
Aliana took the key and walked over to the other bed sitting down on it. She put her bag on the other side and opened it to make sure everything was still in there, it was thankfully. She let out a sigh of relief and took her shoes off before sitting criss-cross on the bed to enjoy the fruit she had bought earlier, "Thank you again Hatta."
"You're welcome." Hatta replied, rolling onto his back and kicking his boots off. They fell to the floor with a dull thump.
Aliana didn't respond as she bit into the flesh of the fruit grinning at the sweet flavor in her mouth. She continued eating in small rapid bites until the entire fruit was done. She let out a happy little hum to herself glad she wasn't sleeping outside tonight.
Hatta took his hat off, and reached inside. Like a magician, his hand came out clutching a book, which he opened up and began to read, humming again.
Aliana saw Hatta pull the book out and wished she had brought one as well, but it was fine. She had a notebook to fill with sketches and stories.
Hatta set his hat down on the bedside table, and kept reading. He raked a hand through his hair, making it stick up in spikes.
Aliana pulled out a pen and ink from her bag and tapped the tip of the pen against the paper. What to draw? What to draw? She glanced up to see Hatta with spikey hair and inspiration hit her. She went to start sketching as she saw fit.
Hatta turned a little so he was laying on his side, supported by his elbow, his purple eyes focused on the page before him.
