Aliana took another deep breath and stepped towards the well. She was ready to do this, at least she thought so, "What now?"
Aliana took another deep breath and stepped towards the well. She was ready to do this, at least she thought so, "What now?"
"Throw it in and make a wish." they replied.
Aliana didn't understand what they meant by throwing it in. She reached for a small piece of her confidence, the little part she was using to keep herself where she was without freaking out and threw it into the well. At least she hoped she did. She didn't know if she should say it aloud, but did anyway, "I wish to know the current location of the original guardian of the Vorpal Sword. Um, please."
The girls smiled, and there was a faint but audible plop as the confidence hit the water. "Of course."
Aliana felt a little deflated and more scared than earlier. She could feel the confidence missing from her and took a shaky breath before looking back at the girls and Hatta the new uncertainty of her choice now setting in, "Right. So the location?"
The girls named the location. "You'll have to get there on your own."
Hatta nodded. "Alright. Thanks."
"Thank you," Aliana gave a nod as well. She glanced at Hatta hoping he wasn't mad with her for her actions. Her voice was soft, "Ready to go?"
Hatta nodded. "Yeah. Come on." He said softly. He led Aliana back to the stone center.
Aliana followed after him her head hung sightly. She didn't know if she made the right choice, but at the same time, it was the only one to be made. Who knew taking away such little confidence would reduce her to this. Or maybe it was only temporary.
Hatta was quiet as they walked, hands in his pockets..
Aliana was quiet her mind in a turmoil before she asked him quietly, "Are you mad?"
"No." Hatta replied, shaking his head. "I'm not."
"Oh," Aliana let out a slight sigh of relief, "I was, um, worried you were."
"No, Aliana. Why would I be angry with you?" He asked, glancing over at her.
"Becuase I just did what you were going to do," Aliana admitted glancing at the ground her voice quiet.
Hatta shook his head. "No, I'm not mad." He said again.
"Okay," Aliana responded still quiet, "So, um, how do we get out?"
Hatta stood on the center circle again. "Like this." He replied.
Aliana stood next to him in the circle, "Same way we came then?"
"Yes. But it won't let out into the labyrinth." Hatta replied.
"So we'll be out of the labyrinth?" Aliana asked letting out a slight sigh of relief.
Hatta nodded. "Yes." He replied. "Probably back on the road where we started."
"That's good," Aliana commented with a curt nod, "We won't have to take the time walking back out."
"Yeah." Hatta agreed. "And then…we'll find this guardian and hope he can help us."
"Yeah," Aliana heard her voice trail off. She really hoped the guardian could help them. If not she didn't know what Hatta could do.
