Should We start soon?
Should We start soon?
I think we can start now, but I honestly don't want to start first, please someone else start.
I could start.
Yes please
Calla walked down the street home from school. For the past 2 days she felt awful. The sun felt like it was burning her inside out, but at the same time, not. She had a few blocks left till she got home, maybe like 3 blocks. Calla looked down at her phone and sighed. She had been trying to get in contact with the guy she went out with 2 days ago but no answer. Calla stopped and leaned against a tree feeling completely drained.
Rivian, dressed in a long hooded coat and business suit, rubbed his tired eyes as he made his way home for the morning. His hood fell low over his head, shielding his entire face from the sun. A long time ago, he wouldn't have dared to risk going into the sun, but then came the invention of hoods and soon he decided to take that risk. His car was waiting for him at the end of the road, so he wouldn't have to deal with the scorching heat for long. He glanced up, frowning, and pushed his hood back a little - he thought he heard a sigh. Further down the street, leaning against a tree, was a young girl who looked weary and sick. As he strode nearer he had a flashback to the night he was turned into the creature he is today, which made him pause for a moment. Every so often he would have these flashbacks, no matter how hard he tried to suppress them. He continued walking, moving into the shade a little as the sun flickered onto his face. Keeping his himself steady and his eyes completely focused, he neared the girl. "Is everything okay, miss?"
Oh he was so late, and it was only 3:00! Asterix weaved among the trees and patches of sunlight across the campus, hood flying off in the wind
"Crap crap crap crap craaaap," he muttered under his breath. Making his way through the the dark corridors and up the stairs to the observatory. "I apologies for my lateness, I had an errand to run."
Calla looked up at him. She let the words register in her head, understanding what he said. "Um, yeah. I guess. I have no idea. I just feel sick. Like I'm drained." She replied, slightly rambling. She had no idea what even she was saying at this point, everything was spinning and so hard so understand suddenly confusing.
"Would you like me to help you? I think I know exactly what you're going through." He forced himself to hold back a chuckle. "I could give you a lift to your house, it isn't safe to be out here, alone, while you're like this."
Verrian walked through the streets, a black umbrella held over his head. He saw this exchange and smelt the blood of a newly turned vampire. "Oh dear, the turner just left that poor thing there." He muttered, raising an eyebrow as the scent of another vampire shifted into range. That man over there must be a vampire, not the one that turned that poor girl though. That girl has the smell of a turned vampire, but one who was turned by another newly turned vamp… Hm. Verrian mused as he watched them.
"I… I don't know. I guess you could give me a ride home. I live a few blocks away…" She said and looked down to the ground, the sun felt a bit bright and she just couldn't stand it.
"No need to apologize, we were just throwing around ideas, please, sit Mr. Hall." the professor instructed
Asterix nodded and sat in the back near the shadows of the room. His stomach growled "damn…" he cursed under his breath.
Rivian felt a pang of pity inside him and instinctively removed his coat, draping it around the girl. He had to pretend like he wasn't in complete agony, but it was easily done with the experience he had. "Keep the hood over your head. It will shelter you as much as possible and the pain should die down."
She nodded slightly not really understanding what the hell was going on or why she felt like trash. "What is going on." She asked rhetorically.
"You're a vampire, child. I thought it would have been obvious." He replied, frowning a little. "I take it your family are human?"
He gulped as his head began pounding, but he needed to keep calm for the girl's sake.
"Oh, and yes…. You should get some shade probably." She said trying to process what was happening and how.
"Who said I'm not human?" He asked with a lopsided grin. The girl had probably figured it out, but he was going to keep up the charade for as long as possible.
"Honestly you're not fooling anyone. And if you know all that you are bound to be a vampire." She replied not very fooled by this guy.
Verrian had enough of that. He stalked over to the both of them, took out another small umbrella from his messenger bag and threw it at the male. "Just shush and take the umbrella. I don't want the smell of sunburnt vampire in my nostrils."
(Im on my way home from college, I'll reply when im home)
Ben sat in his classroom grading papers and essays that he needed to finish grading. Most of them had some false evidence but her passed over all of that and just looked if that it had good wording and defense against the idea they were trying to protect. Half of the papers had a grade lower than a 70% a few had over 80%. He sighed then put the papers down and walked down the hall and got a drink from a vending machine, not that it would help much with anything.
Arie was sitting in a shady spot on the school campus; even with her thick veil, she didn't like being near the sun. She watched as two vampires were talking to a newly turned. She didn't much care for newly turned; just competition for food.
Rivian caught the umbrella and handed it to the girl with a confused expression. "She needs it more than me. I'm perfectly fine, thank you, though I'm not sure I know what you're on about."
As his role as a politician, it was a given that Rivian had to act. And given he had several college qualifications in Drama and Performing Arts, it was safe to say that he definitely knew how to put on a facade. No one had ever sussed out that he was a vampire - he looked too much like a human to be one. His amber eyes were a mere trick of the light, as he told people, and his olive complexion was too sun-kissed. He adjusted his glasses and shoved his hands in his pockets, still refusing to show that he was in pain.
"Miss, if you would allow me to escort you home. You need plenty of rest."
"I can smell the blood in your veins. Now take the umbrella. The girl already has your hood." Varrian instructed, the younger looking man staring down the much older looking man. "Like I said before, I don't wish to smell sunburnt vampire all day." He growled, his right arm tucked under the arm that held his umbrella.
Arie sat straighter on the bench. Was a fight brewing? A good fight always got Arie in the mood to hunt.
