(can i join)
(sure! just make sure you've read it and describe your character!)
my characters name is Elizabeth but she goes by B.
she's fourteen and has a secret ( to be revealed later)
she has black into blue hair and gray skin and big circle glasses perched on her nose.
she has a dog named bruno who's a cockapoo and he is her prized possession.
she was given up by her parents because she comes from a long line of witches but was born without magical abilitys
so when she was a baby her family gave her up. she was in a foster home but she left because she was neglected and hated by her foster parents and has lived on the street since. she found bruno in a trash can nearly dead and since then she has been stealing food for the both of them. she doesn't know who she is or her last name. she only knows she needs to stay hidden and more importantly alive. The people around here don't like non-magic people.
(sorry for the spelling errors)
(welcome! feel free to come in now, or whenever!)

Mick hastily pulled out two silver coins and exchanged them for the mugwort before turning back to the girls.
"I'm a bodyguard and you reached for a weapon, it's an occupational hazard to assume threat. The name's Mick, by the way."
(sorry it took me so long! I've been ill :( it sucks)
"Hello Mick!" Kanoa smiled and waved her hand.
(hope you're feeling better! Where's @Bri S Odell?)
Lauriel nodded, tentatively holding out her hand. That's what humans do, right? Shake hands?, she thought to herself.
(someone add oooon)
Kanoa glanced at Lauriel, glad that she was beginning to seem more confident.
yay!)
Lauriel's eyes flickered briefly to Kanoa's, as if trying to as if she was doing this right while she waited for Mich to shake.
Kanoa waved goodbye to Mnemosyne, who disappeared into the back of the shop, taking the coins with him, probably depositing them into his wallet.
(where's @faechain ?)
(Anyone can take over my character)
(Sorry I've been gone again, I'm still ill so I've been doing coursework between hacking my lungs out and completely forgot about anything else in this world oops)
Mick shook Lauriel's hand firmly, glad for her acceptance. Looking around awkwardly, he spoke: "So… What now?"
(alright, @Bri S Odell)
(it's fine @faechain! glad you're back, and hope you're feeling better!)
Laurie glanced at Kanoa, the same question in her eyes. I should probably go… She thought against her will. It's not like life's going to get any better than living in the back of an abandoed warehouse. Besides, if I stay I won't be able to get back to the Faeries…
(thanks!)
Mick watched the girls look around and thought that he should probably be getting back to the loft. Ia would want the ingredients as soon as possible, but it felt weird to leave at that moment.
(btw Ia is his boss and runs everything in the group he works for, but she's not really important to this rp)
Kanoa went up to Lauriel and pressed a kiss against her cheek. She looked at Lauriel's face and her rainbow eyes brightness diminished greatly, "Why must you leave?"
Laurie’s whole body flushed purple and she felt a familiar sense of elation as a shimmery wave of golden sparkles were lifted out of her, washing over Kanoa. It’s been a while since that happened… she thought, smiling through her blush as her Faerie powers drifted out of her control, bestowing a good luck charm on Kanoa.
