(Hey I’m back sorry)
s'ok! personal life comes first!)
Adeline sprints as fast as she can with Kanoa’s book, trying to out run Lauriel. She was slowly getting slower and slower as she had run so far but suddenly came to a halt. Someone had taken her broom.
(I’ve been sleeping that’s why I wasn’t here)
(wait, isn't your character Liza?)
Lauriel saw the thief stop abruptly and sped up, dodging an antique grimoire-seller's stand and and leaping nimbly forward to snatch the book out of the girl's hands.
Pauka shrugged and showed his little teeth as he grinned. Kanoa sighed and gathered up her things, one by one, except for her broom. She hopped on and Pauka scrambled to the top of her shoulder. I hope that the thief who stole my book is okay, and not hurt. Kanoa shut her eyes tight and revved up her broom and then they took off towards the direction the thief had went.
Adeline had 2 siblings when growing up so she knew how to fight. She punched Lauriel in the cheek and quickly snatched the book off of Lauriel. She had now had enough energy to run again. She whipped out her wand and cast a spel. In two blinks of an eye her broom had appeared and she kept on it. This was her get away her time to escape with the book. “Hahaha” she screamed.
(Sorry I didn’t see @Nerd comment)
Kanoa screamed. The thief had punched someone, "Are you okay?" Kanoa's forehead creased with worry, as she neared the ground towards the girl who'd been punched.
Laurie (her nickname) shook herself off and jumped up at the sound of someone actually talking to her. Her instincts kicked in and she raised her shoulders, stepping backwards with one foot in a defensive stance. Upon seeing the girl's look of concern, she immediately relaxed, her bruised cheek already healing. "I'm fine.", she said, her voice unusually hoarse. Clearing her throat, she continued "The thief got away. Sorry.", was all she said, wondering why the girl was being so friendly.
(@Bri S Odell, if you changed characters, could you please write a description of your new one? :)
"It's okay, I'll just get a new book. That was just a new spell book, I was only using it for homework and I only had two spells written in there anyway. I'm sure I'll remember them!" Kanoa laughed and tapped the side of her head. She jumped off of her broom with Pauka still on her shoulder and reached out her hand for the girl to shake, "My name's Kanoa, what's yours?" a wide grin spread across Kanoa's face, bright enough to rival the sun.
Laurie's cheeks colored deep purple as she shook the girl's hand with her bumpy blue one, her way of blushing. "I-I'm Lauriel.", she replied with a tentative smile, inside's bubbling with a mixture of caution and confusion. Damn it Laurie, you should have given a fake name., she berated herself, Kanoa's easygoing, happy energy unearthing her need to socialize. When was the last time someone was nice to me?, Laurie thought. I like her. She's… positive. Quite pretty too…
(Laurie's lesbian by the way. She can't help it lol)
Kanoa's long white braid swished behind her and she smiled again, "Lauriel? That's such a pretty name! I really like your eyes! And your skin shimmers! Oh my spell, you're so pretty!" the sun hit Kanoa's eyes, illuminating the kaleidoscope of colors inside.
Laurie's whole face went purple. "Th–Thank you– I– um, you're– you're pretty too..", she managed to stammer out, spellbound by Kanoa's eyes. "Your eyes, they're… rainbow.", she finished lamely, wincing at how awful her compliment had come out. Whoever had commented on her skin before had usually compared it to a suffocating toad's, and no one had ever called her pretty. She'd never seen anyone with such happy eyes either. Laurie's attention was suddenly drawn away from Kanoa to the golden monkey perched on her shoulder. "Wow…", she breathed.
Pauka grinned cheekily and Kanoa patted him on the head, "This is Pauka, he's kind of stuck up, so don't compliment him too much. And yes, my eyes are rainbow, and thank you for the compliment!" Kanoa walked towards a stall filled with items, motioning for Lauriel to follow her, "I feel like I need something, but I forget what it was, it's okay though, I forget things a lot! I'm sure I'll remember."
Laurie trailed behind, hopelessly confused. "Err… Crystals? Tea leaves?", she suggested, trying to think of random witchy things.
"I don't know." Kanoa started to cry, "Why do I always forget things!" her tears dripped down her face and she buried her nose into Lauriel's shoulder.
Hey guys, I gonna be out cause i'm watching Black Panther. You have liberty over Kanoa.
(I have not changed characters) Adeline quickly opened up the book and to her dismay the book was not the one she had been hoping for. It was not her beloved book which had been stolen from her. She started to weep and flew back to Lauriel and Kanoa
(Ok, you just said your character was Liza, I just got a bit confused, no problem! Could you provide a description for her?)
(have fun! the movie's supposed to be pretty good, so :)
Lauriel tensed up at the sudden contact on instinct, quickly softening when she saw tears rolling down Kanoa's face. She stretched out her hand, gingerly giving the stricken girl's shoulder a squeeze. What do I do?!, her mind shouted frantically. "It's okay, i-it happens to everyone.", she said gently, voice surprisingly smooth and stable. "I-If you haven't noticed yet, I'm really awkward and bad at t-t-ta-talk-t– oh for the love of God— talking to people." Why did she have to stammer all the time? "I–um, once bumped into a–a mailbox, and said sorry to it. Then I apologized again, saying "Sorry, I thought you were a person." Then I, um, realized I was still t-t-talking to a mailbox.", she stammered out in a lame attempt to comfort the girl.
(by the way, I'm really bad at writing stuttering, sorry! Any advice?)
