“Shhh,” Lou warned with a small laugh, peeking a finger over the blanket and poking Jay’s cheek with it. “You be quiet.”
Matt rolled his eyes, not knowing what the subject of their conversation was, but knowing Lou was giving a hard time.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay laughed softly. "Mhm." he replied, nuzzling Lou's cheek happily. He stayed snuggled up with Lou, eyes drifting shut for a moment, then opening them again.

(Ah sorry, thought I replied)

Lou looked down, eyes resting on Jay. He smiled to himself.
“If you’re tired…” he trailed off, adjusting the arm around Jay slightly. “We can walk you guys back?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

(it's alright)

Jay shook his head. "Not that tired yet." he replied, sleepy. He blinked up at Lou hazily, a soft smile on his lips.
Marco shrugged his shoulders. His phone buzzed again, and he pulled it out to check it, lips tugging down into a frown.

“You sure?” He asked, raising an eyebrow. He returned the smile, cuddling up in the blanket even more.
Matt looked over to Marco, resting his face on one of his hands propped on the armrest.
“Everything alright?” he asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay nodded. "Mhm." he replied, cuddling up to Lou's side, absorbing the other male's warmth contentedly.
Marco sighed. "It's my mom." he replied, sounding more aggravated than anything. "I've gotta take this call." he got up, putting the phone to his ear and heading over to the adjacent room for a little privacy.
Jay frowned a little at Marco's comment about his mom, knowing that his friend didn't have a great relationship with her.

“Alright, take your time,” Matt called, waving his hand. “Let me know if you need anything.”
Lou glanced over to Matt, then to Jay, and back at the movie screen. He noticed Jay’s frown, but decided to leave the gesture be. Lou didn’t want part in any battle that wasn’t his.
Matt, on the other hand, most likely would. He was a sucker for standing up for people. Which is also why Lou refrained from asking anything.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay watched Marco go, but knew that the other wouldn't want Jay to try and interfere or say anything.
Marco kept his voice as quiet as he could, but it was easy enough to tell that he was aggravated and upset by whatever his mother was saying to him.

(gosh so sorry for taking forever)

Much to Lou’s “surprise,” Matt looked over to Lou and Jay, raising an eyebrow. He made a motion back, gesturing to where Marco had left and making a shrug as if to ask what was going on. Lou just shook his head slightly, as if answering that he didn’t know. Matt kept his skeptical expression as he looked back to the TV, awaiting Marco’s return.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(tis fine)

"His mom's an ass." Jay replied quietly. "He's trans, and she won't accept that her "little girl" isn't a girl and hasn't been in a long time." his voice was quiet, careful as he glanced back for a moment. "It's…I'll let him explain the rest if he wants to, but it's really hard on him because she uses the wrong pronouns and the wrong name for him."

@PaperHats business

Matt’s face didn’t change expression as he glanced from Lou to Jay.
“Bueno eso es estúpido,” he muttered under his breath.
“English,” Lou mumbled.
“Lo siento,” Matt apologized. “I just hate when people don’t accept others for who they are, or want to be.”
Lou grit his teeth, a slight pain going through his heart. When he came out… his parents had supported him. Matt— well, Matt was a different case. The only person who hadn’t… “left” him was his sister. And Lou, of course. He couldn’t imagine how hard it had been for the man.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay took a deep breath, glancing over at Matt for a moment, and nodding slightly. "Yeah, I get that." he himself had had to struggle with his family to be accepted, but at least some of his family had accepted him.
Marco's voice, in the other room, rose a little bit. "-mom I said I'm not coming! I'm in France right now and…and you'd know that if you even bothered to check Anything!"

@PaperHats business

Lou could see the edge creeping into Matt’s eyes. He had to stop himself from putting a hand on the man’s arm and telling him to stay put. Fortunately, Matt knew better. However, he sat stiffly, elbows resting on his thighs and feet flat on the floor, like he was ready to get up at any moment. Lou sunk further back into the couch, still with his jaw locked. Perfect representatives of their polar opposite personalities.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay bit his lip a little bit, but knew better than to try and do anything right now. He let out a breath, not knowing what to do, if he should say anything to Matt and Lou or anything.
After a few more minutes, Marco came back, sitting down on the couch with a stiff back and a stony face, chewing hard on the inside of his lip and trying not to cry.

@PaperHats business

Matt glanced over at Marco, giving him a warm smile.
“Lamento mucho que ella no pueda aceptarte por lo que claramente eres,” he began, the words rolling off his tongue. “Te mereces personas que te apoyen. Sé cómo te sientes… y desearía que ellos también.”
Lou glared over, about to ask for a translation when Matt met his eyes. He slowly shook his head, but Lou understood. They were words Marco probably didn’t need to hear in his own language to understand the meaning. Bottom line was that Matt felt the same way.

(The spanish roughly translates to: “I'm so sorry that she can't accept you for who you clearly are. You deserve people who support you. I know how you feel … and I wish they did too.”)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(Gtg now sorry)

Marco looked at Matt, taking a deep breath and giving him a faint, watery smile. "I…I'm not sure what you said, but…thanks." his voice was quiet, subdued and sounding a bit upset.
Jay reached out to put a hand on Marco's shoulder, squeezing gently.

(‘s alright. Night!)

Matt gave a small laugh, bashfully rubbing the back of his neck.
“No problem, amigo,” he said softly. “Comó siempre.”
“What?” Lou mumbled.
“For always,” Matt translated, resisting the urge to smack Lou over the head. But one, he couldn’t reach him, and two… well there wasn’t a two, so he was darn near close to doing it.
“Yeah,” Lou said innocently. “Nous avons votre dos.”
Matt narrowed his eyes. “Learn Spanish.”
“Learn French,” he rebutted.

(Translation: “We have your back.”)

@ElderGod-Icefire

Marco let out a breath, leaning back against the couch and shaking his head just a little bit. "Sorry, I…I guess I kinda spoiled the mood, didn't I?"
Jay shook his head. "It's fine, Marco. Not your fault, just your mom's."

@PaperHats business

“Never your fault,” Matt added, though his tone held a slight charismatic flair. He gave Marco a cheerful smile, as if trying to encourage a silver lining.
Lou glanced from the two back to the TV, then his phone on the coffee table. The screen was alight with a muted alarm.
“Shoot,” he muttered to himself quietly, narrowing his eyes. “I gotta go let Bean out ‘n feed him.”
His words were slightly muffled by him tucking his face back into the blanket. There wasn’t necessarily an easy way for him to time jump around this… his so called “ability” banked a little less on teleportation. It was only time. He could turn back the clocks to where his house never existed, but he couldn’t hop from house to house.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay nodded a little bit. "Do you want me to come with you?" he asked, kissing Lou's cheek softly. "Or would you rather go alone?" he was still snuggled up close to Lou, and he smiled lightly over at the Frenchman.
Marco arched an eyebrow. "What, you're just going to abandon me with a strange man?" he asked Jay, laughing softly. "I mean…I don't mind, but maybe check in with your best friend before abandoning him, yeah?"

@PaperHats business

Matt raised an eyebrow at the comment of “strange man,” but before he could question it, Lou replied.
“No, no, not if you don’t want to,” he began, folding a portion of the blanket over. He looked over at Jay, the annoyance— that he had to get up— prominently across his face. He slowly untucked his arm from behind the other man, pushing himself from the couch and stretching.
“I was gonna say you could stay here, hijo, but don’t worry about it,” Matt said, getting up to at least walk the Frenchman to the door.
“Maybe some other time. Addie wouldn’t mind?” he asked, brushing the hair from his eyes.
“You kidding? Addie loves you,” Matt answered, pausing the movie.
Lou shook his head with a yawn. “Alright.”
His gaze shifted back down to Jay and Marco. “You want us to walk you home on the way?”
