He laughed a little. "Mhm, I'm aware of that, but no. I'm one hundred percent American." Then he frowned. "Well. I guess that depends on who you ask. Some people don't consider people like me…people." he glanced down at his shirt, with that trans flag that was proudly displayed.
Matt shook his head furiously, as if the idea was completely ridiculous. Which, in his mind, it was.
“Nonsense,” he said plainly. “You are a people.”
His broken English sounded more like a child speaking.
“Those people who think that?” he began, raising an eyebrow. “They aren’t people.”
He smiled a little. "You mean I'm a person. I'm not multiple people. But…thanks, Matt." He surprised even himself by wrapping an arm around the other male with a quick hug.
Matt gave a slight embarrassed smile. “Sorry, yeah, english. I’ll have you know I’m much sexier when I speak Spanish.”
He gave a playful wink, completely aware it was cheesy and would most likely be met with an eye roll. His heart did that same light beat when Marco hugged him, and his face grew slightly red. Again, important to note, he was normally better at this. It was just… something about the man in front of him.
Marco broke away again to resume the correct dancing position, smiling at Matt. "Ha, is that so?" he asked, looking at Matt. "Perhaps I should try and learn it, then." he teased, smiling mischievously. "I can commit murder with my butchering of the pronunciation."
“Well teaching you would be fun for me,” he said, his words light in a joking manner. “Funny for me on the sidelines, at least. I teach you Spanish, and Quincy over there can teach Jay some French.”
He continued to step and sway slowly, still a slight bit distant form Marco.
"Hey, Jay and I are both on this trip because we know French. Mostly." Marco replied with a laugh. "I don't think there's much more Jay could learn. He's better than I am at languages. I'm more of the history buff." he shrugged his shoulders. "But it might be interesting to do, yeah."
“Then perhaps you teach me,” he said with a raised eyebrow and a tilted head. “Quiny’s been trying to get me to learn it forever, but honestly I’d like it much more if you taught me.”
Matt gave him a teasing smile, nodding to Lou and Jay when he mentioned the Frenchman’s name, though he kept his eyes on Marco while doing so.
He grinned right back. "Ah, mais combien comprenez-vous?" he asked, smiling, cocking his head at Matt. "Un peu ou beaucoup?"
(translation 1: But how much do you understand? Translation 2: A little, or a lot?)
“No sé, mi amigo,” Matt replied in a quick breath. “I have no clue what you just said. You sound like Quincy.”
He shook his head, closing his eyes as he smiled.
(Translation: No sé= I don’t know)
He laughed. "I asked how much you understood." He replied with a smile, looking at Matt. "Which, I suppose you just answered."
Matt nodded. “Sí. Don’t know any french.”
He bobbed his head, opening his eyes again and meeting Marco’s gaze. “No offense, but I do like spanish much more. Flows off the tongue well.”
Marco chuckled. "Mm. Well, they're both romance languages, so. You should be fine. You can charm people in both languages, now." He smiled.
“Oh, can I?” he asked, drawing out the words. “In that case, haces que mi corazón sonría.”
He gave a flirtatious and somewhat mischievous smile. His words were graceful and melodic, him speaking with a sort of seductive hushed tone.
(Translation: “You make my heart smile.”)
Marco wrinkled his nose. "I have no idea what you just said." He replied, sticking out his tongue for a moment and hoping in vain that he wasn't blushing. He was.
Matt laughed. “Good. I didn’t want you to know.”
-
Lou gazed down at Jay, giving him one of his crooked yet cute smiles. His attention was soon drawn to Matt, who had stepped a bit closer. He noticed the man speaking in Spanish and shook his head.
“Wonder what trouble Matt’s getting Marco into,” he said softly, his voice tinged with humor.
Marco stuck his tongue out again. "Myeh myeh myeh." He retorted, laughing and blushing.
-
Jay chuckled. "Mm. Marco can hold his own. I wouldn't be too worried. Though…we'd better hope they don't wander off, or we won't find them again."
(So sorry! I’ve had a chaotic past couple days. I’ll get it up in a sec!)
“Good point,” Lou muttered. “But… wouldn’t hurt to be alone with you.”
He gave Jay yet another wink, biting the tip of his tongue with a smile. His nose wrinkled slightly as his eyebrows narrowed with the action.
(it's alright!)
Jay chuckled softly. "Mhm. True." He replied. "Though we can't do what we did last night, I'll remind you. I need sleep."
“Yeah,” Lou laughed. “You mortals are funny to me. Always needing sleep. Come join the Coffee Kingdom with me.”
He continued his gentle rocking, sarcastically commenting on Jay’s inability to stay awake.
“I understand, though,” he said truthfully. “Don’t worry.”
Jay rolled his eyes. "Mortals? Is that any way to speak to your king?" He joked with a laugh. He kissed Lou's cheek softly. "And alright."
“Oh, yes, sorry your majesty,” he said with a chuckle. He returned Jay’s kiss with one of his own. “My humblest apologies, sire.”
Lou gave a joking smile, teetering his head tauntingly.
Jay grinned, and leaned close to press a kiss to Lou's mouth. "Apology accepted." He replied with a smile, holding Lou close.
