Jemma flinched. "Canst thou not?"
Alex sighed and gave her friend an inhaler. "Not come on, we don't have much time before the gases hit." She explained and started walking a swift pace.
Harley looked at her surroundings she didn’t know what to do. She spotted two people walking and ran close to them , following them to where ever they were going
(back, had a DND game)
adam, during this entire situation is running across roof tops and keeping up with Alex and Jemma
Horus looked up to see a tower in the distance. A sky tower? he wondered desperately. He was limping a bit from the fight he'd been in, and he was hoping to find shelter before the gas attack. After all, that guy who fought him had stolen his gas mask, and he preferred to not be subdued by mustard gas. Horus began his journey towards the sky tower, dragging his feet along.
Harley looked at her surroundings she didn’t know what to do. She spotted two people walking and ran close to them , following them to where ever they were going
(Is this Alex and Jemma?)
(Yes I have no clue how to join so this is my try)
( Oh ok.)
Alex heard footsteps behind her. It wasn't Adam for sure since he was on the rooftops. "Who are you?" She whirled around and saw a girl
Harley froze and lowered her scarf “I’m Harley Fay new to the area and I don’t know where to go so I started to follow you.” She said nervously “I’ll leave if it bugs you.”
"Well we're new to the area too, we just arrived here. You should know one of the sky towers." She replied back. She wasn't ready just to trust anyone yet.
Horus glanced up, and it occurred to him that he would be best off climbing up to the rooftops first. He found a good place to climb up and did just that. There were other people there, too, and he couldn't help but be anxious around them. He had just been attacked by a seemingly normal person himself. Horus noticed three people standing together, having a conversation (Alex, Jemma, and Harley), and he walked over.
"Hey, there's going to be mustard gas soon," he said, trying his best not to limp or show his injuries, but that was hard when he had bruises everywhere, "Shouldn't you head on to the sky tower?"
"Well thats what we're doing." She replied and resumed walking.
"Good," Horus muttered. He walked after, but struggled to keep up pace. This was horribly embarrassing.
Alex immediately notices his limp. "Let me guess you're wounded?" She asked as they walked
"It's not so bad, but yes," Horus admitted, "Some guy beat me up and stole my gas mask. So it's especially crucial that I get to the sky tower."
adam rushes down to greet the new members of the group this will be fun!
Emil whistled a soft tune to himself as he walked towards the Sky Tower, inviting strange and disgusted looks from passersby. He was used to this though. Some have even called him deranged for seeming so happy during the constant tragedies. Of course he was not deranged. He was just… well, not sane. But that's fine. No one is ever truly sane. They just prefer to live a lie then to face the hard truth. Emil let out a soft giggle as he watched a strange quartet make their way slowly to the tower. One of them seemed to be injured and a bit more desperate to get to the tower. Out of pure boredom, or perhaps something else, Emil decided to join the odd group. "Are you guys headed to the Sky Tower?" he softly cooed.
Alex checked her brab. 10 minutes until mustard gases. "well frick this." She mumbled under her breath before turning to him. "I know this is going to be embarrassing, but trust me, you're gonna live." She warned before throwing the man over her shoulder and started running.
Horus gasped in surprise, but he wasn't embarrassed. Instead, he was grateful, but also worried about how long Alex would be able to carry him. After all, he was at least six feet tall, and didn't have a thin frame at all.
"Th-thanks," he whispered, not sure if she heard.
"No problem." She wheezed and they were almost there. "we're almost there just a little bit longer." She said. 5 minutes until mustard gas.
adam was running next to alex "hand him over, i got him."
Emil chuckled at the strange sight as he followed them, the clacking of his shoes emitting a soft, rhythmic sound as he ran. This was far more entertaining than being alone. After all, humans were always entertaining. They had a strange drive to live, one that he did not possess. Or perhaps he had just suppressed the feeling. It didn't matter.
"Ok, " She handed him over to adam and took a deep breath. Then she resumed running. 2 minutes.
adam carried horrus over his shoulder like a soldier "do not worry friend, we will reach tower!"
