"I might of." She shrugged. "I was taking a nap when the tsunami hit."

"Goddamn it, Jemma! Why didn't you tell me this earlier." She asked in alarm and splashed some water on her friend.
Jemma flinched. "Canst thou not?"
((Sorry I was gone for something but I'm back now))
Emil got up from under the table he had been using as an impromptu shelter from the earthquake. He was unscath, the room being only slighty tousled throughout the duration of the earthquake. "Luckily no one seems focused on locking their doors anymore," he mumbled softly as he left the house he had trespassed. He checked his barb absentmindedly, interested in the death count. 70 thousand dead, one hour until deadly gases, it read. "Interesting. So many dead. They should have adapted by now," he mused as he walked through the empty streets.
70 thousand…people are either stupid or the earthquakes are getting worse. Cade thought as he hurried out of the shelter. That's all he did now; run. There was no time to play, no time to relax, no time to stop and chat. No, he was always escaping something.
(Umm… slightly weird question, but what type of deadly gases are they being exposed to?)
(Poison I'm guessing)
(Flamible gasses)
(Clara have gas masks)
(That's really OP of you)
( Poisonous gases.)
(That's really OP of you)
( Not really, everyone is supposed to have gas masks on them.)
(Okay)
(That's really OP of you)

(She has one makeshift gas mask, then.)
(But like, what gases? Like is it chlorine gas, mustard gas, ect. ?)
( Clearing this up. Poisonous gases unless you want more gore like Wonder Women. Everyone was handed their own gas mask from birth. They are really strong, rare if one leaks.)
( MUSTARD GAS CUZ WHY NOT SOME GORE AND I AM WATCHING BLACK PANTHER AND GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY SO I CAN SEE INFINITY WARS TOMORROW SO GO AHEAD ON THE NEXT DISASTER!)
Emil giggled softly as he watched people scurrying around in preparation for the gas. He glanced down to his barb to check the time. 8:27. There were still 30 minutes until he would have to worry about the inhalation of mustard gas. His shoes hit the ground in a soft, rhythmic taps as he strolled back towards the Sky Tower, which had somehow made it through the earthquake. He casually stepped over the ragged body that accounted for one of the 70 thousand dead. The sight of gore did not really faze him. It would actually feel a bit strange if there had been no bodies left in the streets. He felt that way every morning due to the work of the "cleaners". A small shiver crawled up his spine as he recalled the pristine streets, clear of the bodies from the terrors of yesterday. The sight of that was somehow much more scary than the sight of bodies piled high. He quickly pushed the thought out of his head and trekked on, his eyes set on the tower.
(I missed a lot… If I can't catch up, I might leave)

(We're not going to sky tower, we're going to an underground bunker.)
(But because mustard gas sinks to the ground and I would assume that they would close the doors to the Sky Tower, the best tactic not to die is to get to higher ground than the mustard gas so that it won't touch you're skin)
(Okay, I think I'm sort of caught up. Can someone explain where they are, exactly? And is it possible that my character could have been there the whole time?)
(We're somewhere in New York heading toward another Sky Tower to avoid mustard gases.
(Can I still join?
