Athena looked around she was in a house. She saw a group of some people. She started walking their way.

Cade heard people screaming from outside the shelter. None of them sounded like children, so he didn't bother going to help them. 9 seconds.

adam climbs the gate and tries to find a way to open it "wait here friends i'll try and find a way to open it."

Clara opens the gate. "Get in, idiots!" she half shouts.

Rain rushed through the gates just like many other people did, sighing in relief once she was in.

"Well, welcome to hell. Enjoy your stay." she panted, the gate was heavy.

"Yeah, it's worse than a refugee camp here. My name's Clara, and you are?" she asked.

"adam" adam adjusts his mask as the punch had broken the seal.

"Well hello, Adam." she said.

Rain walked over to the person who had opened the gate. "Thanks," she said simply.

"You're welcome. I'm Clara, you are?" she asked Rain.

"Rain. Rain Fallows." She looked around at the place inside the gates. "Looks tough around here."

"It's worse than it looks, feel free to worry."

"Thanks for the advice. So how long have you been stuck here?" Rain asked.

"A year or so. I've been researching as much about clocks as I can, I've even built a few. But they turn out to be bad omens it seems, so I'm forced to destroy them without even being able to study more."

Rain nodded. "I guess it's safe to say that the world is nearing its end. Do you believe there is any way to prevent it?"

Cade overheard the conversation between a girl and…Clara, was it? He pretended to adjust the bottom of his shoe as he listened in on them.

adam walks over to cade "you know you're bad at doing this right, instead of eavesdropping why not engage in the conversation?" adam walks away into a crowd of people
